ernierocker
Imagine how freaky it will be if Superman launches at the exact moment you ascend the top of the tower. That will be an experience in itself.

DJeXeL
This looks very promising. 48" height requirement is good too. My only concern is the length of time S:EFK is going to have to be closed while tower is modified to accommodate Lex Luthor..... Granted I would assume the majority of work would be done during the days the park is closed. Edited September 1, 2011 by DJeXeL

MontagnaMagica
Is it an Intamin drop tower? It's hard to tell from the video, but I don't see what else it could be. This is exciting! Actually, the hint they gave a week ago was way more obvious than we all thought! LOL!
PAL
My heart is already racing - anxiety building, stomach fluttering. The RUSH as I finally stagger off 400 vertical feet of drop tower with a lopsided smile. Epic! Â I've come to treasure such feelings, as they're rare. Tatsu was the last ride that did it, that feeling you could plummet to your doom on that towering lift, and then the world rocked in the disorienting gravity well at the bottom of the enormous pretzel loop. Although I305 in the dark came close. Â Can't wait!
sammmmmy
This is great! I always wondered why six flags never put the drop tower on it like dreamworld...
rollin_n_coastin
Wow. That will be just breathtaking. I'd ride it in observation mode... Â Agree that just the tower moving/ shaking even in the slightest will be a really intense feeling. Â Love these tower conversions!

alilstronger
OMG this looks freaking AMAZING! I LOVE to HATE drop towers because thy scare the crap out of me! Anyone that was on the North East Trip last month and sat with me on any of the MULTIPLE drop towers know just how LOUD I scream on them. Knowing this one will be over 400 feet tall makes me want to make a trip to cali just for this.
coasterfreak101
^I'm exactly the same way! Every time I ride Drop Zone, the entire way up I just repeat "I hate this ride, I hate this ride..." over and over again, but then once I'm off I'm ready to go again! Â Looks like my friend in California is going to have a roomate next summer.
Calicoasters
I am very impressed with Magic Mountain transforming a ride that I thought "needed to go," into a great reborn thrill. The Superman make over was my favorite addition for this year, and next year they really stepped it up with something unique.
RocketJet94
its no 500ft S&S 3 tower complex but I'll take it...idk about the design though...i hope it works.
DJeXeL
^It's being designed by Intamin.........of course it will work. What kind of question is that?!? In the slim chance that it doesn't work, Intamin makes sure their attractions at least look fun. Edited September 1, 2011 by DJeXeL
Brandy524
Absolutely no freakin' way would I ever get my butt on that! Me + heights = Terrified to tears! Good thing I'll probably never make it out to California so there's no chance of anyone trying to drag me on it.
fatdaddy
I hate drop towers, but this looks awesome! I will be waiting for this thing to open, and trying to ride it first, because I have a feeling this is gonna be really popular.
SuperShawn
That's going to be amazingly nerve shaking, especially if SEFK launches and the towers swaying.... I say bring it on
Sir Clinksalot
Will be interesting to see where the entrance is going to be. My guess is where the paintball thing is now? And then that store right there will be the exit? Wonder if the Arcade will be part of the queue?
JJ728
^Hopefully they'll get rid of, if not refurbish the surrounding buildings. I think the entrance will be on the DC Universe side of the tower, since I don't see them connecting it to the midway next to Food Etc. The guest relations building will probably have to go, and I like your idea of making the arcade into a queue.
harper83087
I'm actually very excited for this. I haven't been on too many drop towers and they remain the only ride that still gets me nervous before riding, even the cheesy little carnival ones. I can't wait to get on this thing and have S:EFK race up its tower right next to me!!
