The Six Flags Magic Mountain (SFMM) Discussion Thread

Oh yes, one more thing... boy has the sun done a number on Apocalypse! At first, from a distance, I thought they had painted the ride white in part of the transition away from Terminator. Is that color change really just from getting sun bleached? I don't recall that happening to Psyclone.

I would LOVE to see a pic taken of TC from Lex Luther ride. Havent seen to many views from above.

Cameras aren't allowed on Lex Luthor. It won't happen and if it does they'll be taken down immediately.

Scream is getting some new colors

The big question is will they repaint the parking lot stripes under the ride to ensure that they also look brand new?

Great pictures btw, really interesting to follow the construction of TC!

I understand your point completely, but I think he meant Pics taken by the Park, or perhaps a professional with Park permission. That was how I read it.

^ Wow..serious fail in those mugs. Also a photo of the old X labelled with the current name X2. What wood coaster was that, cause yeah it's obviously not Colossus and I don't think it's Apocalypse unless it's a really old photo.

I think it's Troy.

It does look like Troy. Not sure why SF would choose a picture of a coaster halfway across the world, though...

White/Green/Blue with the old colossus structure is so much more pleasing to the eye than the classic RMC red.

Imagine how drab it would look with the RMC red and Goliath orange in the background. Now purge that thought, and never think of it again!

Several years ago there were T-Shirts for sale at my home Park, SFStL, that said "Six Flags St. Louis" in the middle and that was surrounded by pictures of Roller Coasters.....that ALL belonged to SFMM! LOL! X, Viper, Colossus, Goliath, just to name a few lol!

Six Flags has been using stock images for a very long time. When Riddlers Revenge opened, the parked used stock footage of Batman: The Escape for the shots of Riddlers. I always enjoyed the irony that the park advertised their new stand-up coaster by showing commercials with their old one.

There's no excuse for using stock photos like that anymore. How hard would it be to just take some digital pictures? I mean, come on. Digital cameras and photo editing have been mainstream for, what, 15 years now? That's downright embarrassing to be claiming those images are of coasters in that very park that they obviously are not.

Every time they take seemingly take a step forward, they take a step back...

Check this out.....I bought the annual photo pass. I purchased a pic of me on Goliath yesterday. The preview screen showed Six Flags 2015 with palm trees when I looked at it on the preview TV screen. When I downloaded it from their site last night, it had Holiday in the Park 2014, with a Christmas tree on it. Ugh!
