  2. I think it'll be the dirty whores, but I wish it was Florida or Notre Dame.
  3. I was pretty upset that they took it out, but I also understand why. I liked it, but could only ride it a couple times before it brought on the headache. SUF is definitely a better choice for the park in my opinion, but I still miss the Shockwave. Easily one of the best drops I've experienced.
  4. Butler knocked off IU tonight in the NIT, and it was freaking amazing.
  5. I'd take off the trim after the helix on Goliath at SFOG.
  6. I know they didn't have near the programs that we have availabe today, but it just boggles my mind that they weren't bright enough to bank the track on the prototype, as well as the Bat at PKI. To me, it just seems like common sense that banking the track will reduce stress on the train. Whatever. That's a pretty cool video though. Thanks.

  8. Eh, why not? -Scott "no shame" Parrish
  9. I made my inaugural visit to Carowinds in April and was extremely let down. The park just wasn't anything special. It felt too open, if that makes any sense. And the ride collection was decent, but they didn't have anything that really wowed me. Top Gun was good, but nothing stellar.
  10. I vote no. Sure, it'd be pretty cool from our stand point for them to do it, but there really isn't any reason for them to do it. Most of us here at this site are all huge thrill seekers, but yet, tons of us still go to WDW every year. It would be awesome to have a highly themed Disney thrill park, but I just don't think they really have much reason to build it.
  11. But if it's to announce an extra-large pink thing cart... then we're talkin'!!! Seriously though, I'll be pleased if they put in some large Huss ride, like a Giant Frisbee (they didn't get a frisbee with the 10 ride deal this year, did they?). I'm not terribly familiar with what all they added this year, but when I visited in '05, it really felt like the park lacked major flat/thrill rides outside of Superman. -Scott "mmmm pink things" Parrish
  12. I love Lake Winnie! Love it! I'm not even sure why. I guess it's just got character like no other. I can't wait to go back sometime.
  13. Yeah, this seems really ridiculous. I remember seeing a price tag of about $300,000 per train when Oblivion was built. Unless they can modify the trains they already have, it just seems like it's going to be a huge waste for something that will be so insignificant. I love floorless coasters, but it really doesn't matter unless you are in the front row, and it's already been mentioned, but Sheikra is floorless enough.
  14. Good job man. I was actually able to lose 55 lbs in 9 months when I was 16/17. I'm also in the process right now of losing about 20 lbs. Though my current goal isn't so much to lose weight but to just get into shape and stay healthier. Keep up the good fight. It sucks and its tough, but its worth it.
  15. I try to avoid my ex at all costs. I don't mean to sound over-dramatic, but I mean it when I say she is the craziest person I've ever met in person. She became so crazy, that I was sometimes afraid of her. I have no idea why I put up with her for so long. After five months of giving me hell following our break-up, I finally stopped trying to be friends and have no desire to anymore. I have no desire to ever see her again or talk to her. She has issues to say the least. As for my ex before that, we dated for two years and are now extremely close friends. Things didn't really go "sour". We just came to the realization that we were different people going in different directions so we said good game and went our different ways peacefully while remaining really good friends.
  16. I went to FL this past January and it was the greatest idea ever. It was about 70 degrees most of the week and parks were empty. It was amazing. I definitely suggest you go.
  17. I have about a 15 minute walk from my apartment to inside my first class each day. For the record, my college is about an hour and 15 minutes away from my actual home.
  18. Some Stewie action.
  19. Ahh!! Finally!! No more chemistry!!! To hell with that class!
  20. Hooooorraaaay Fall break.
  21. Definately Little Titans at Mt. Olympus. Those last several small hills get pretty crazy.
  22. The ridges between slide pieces have tendency to hurt me as it is. I can't imagine how painful it'd be on a slide that would have to pull so many g's. Nevertheless, I'd still do it.
  23. Somehow I doubt he is referring to the bobsleds as having airtime. I haven't heard anything about the trimming it. I sure hope not. It's forceful, but I don't really think it's out of hand. It's a pretty freakin' sweet ride.
  24. Hangman- Opryland (relocated to SFMW) Screamin' Delta Demon- Opryland Chaos- Opryland Rock 'n' Roller Coaster- Opryland (relocated to Great Escape) Wabash Cannonball- Opryland Vampire- SFKK (relocated to SFNE) King Cobra- PKI Scooby's Ghoster Coaster- PKI Crazy Mouse- Motorworld (now travels in fairs) Shockwave - SFGAm Python- BGA (soon to be)
  25. Nice TR Wes. I'm really a bit disappointed I didn't ride anything when I was at the park in July. My intention was to come back another day in the week, but we just simply ran out of time. It really was such a neat little park. Yeah, they were completely screwed for space, but it seemed to be a fairly popular place, and was really nice. I thought at least. But yeah, again, good TR. Guess it's time to move on and look forward to Hard Rock!
