Sometimes I really think Indianapolis should have a major amusement park. I know if one was built now, there's probably no way it would surive though. CP is 4 hours away, which many people go to. PKI is two hours away which even more people go to. SFKK is 2 hours away. The southern half of the state loves HW and the northern half loves IB. It just seems crazy that Indiana's main amusement parks are in the middle of nowhere and the only coaster in the Indy area is Kombo at the zoo.

I was on ESPN this year in May while at qualifications for the Indy 500. My brother and I have become sort of famous/well known around the Indycar circuit for our support of our favorite driver. We've also been interviewed and filmed by numerous new stations, but I'm not sure if we actually made it onto the news.

Best Dark Roller Coaster?
Scaparri replied to drewelap's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I thought USF's Mummy was cool and a good ride, but didn't meet the hype. I guess I had a little anticipointment. A dark coaster that gets little recognition that I thought was awesome is Runaway Mountain at SFOT. Seriously, that ride is pitch black, glass smooth, and has the crazy drop of doom. -
It was stupid, but for the record, it was a change mandated by Intamin, not CP. CP had nothing to do with the decision.

I tend to find myself dumbfounded by how oblivious some people are to sarcasm.

I freakin' love SeaWorld, partially because I love marine animals. Not to mention Kraken is one of my favorite rides of all time. Nice TR. The new Shamu set looks awesome. Is the dolphin stage/set new too?

I used to always fly ATA 'cause Indy was a hub and it was always the cheapest for where I was flying, but then they went bankrupt. I've only flown once since which was with Southwest because I was going to Las Vegas. Generally, I just go with the cheapest.

I saw Ben Harper and Damien Marley on August 31 at the Lawn at White River Park in downtown Indy. Damien Marley was alright, but Ben Harper was freakin' awesome. They played a huge set list, did two encores, and just jammed the entire night. Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals

Most forceful coaster you've been on.

Titan- it's already been mentioned, those helices are nuts. I sat their and watched my 23 yr old bro pass right out as we went through the upwards helix. It was pretty crazy Raptor- this thing is just super intense all the way through. Wicked positive and lateral g's throughout the ride. Mindbender- once again, it's been mentioned, but the loops are pretty intense. -

As I was walking back from class today to my apartment, I was munching on some Melba crackers I picked up in the dining hall. I was enjoying my delicious crackers, when I exhaled through my nose and sucked part of one of the crackers into my nasal passage. This was quite uncomfortable so I gave a hard inhale through my nose, which then blew the piece down into my esophagus. I then started to cough like an idiot. My cough, then blew the piece back into my nasal passage. This continued for 4 or 5 volleys before I finally was successful in hacking the piece out of my mouth.

I freakin' love grocery stores in the south. Publix is definately the best I've been to. But yeah, I'm not too sure about that Skyline, Joe. I personally like the real stuff, but if you're wanting something thick, then you probably aren't going to be impressed either way. It's a fairly sweet and thin chili. <- Thrilled that gas is down to $2.29 here in Indy.

It's freakin' raining outside. Nothing like trudging to class in the rain. Your pants get soaked up to your knees. Yep. Tis a lovely day. -Scott "I'd rather walk in snow than rain" P.

Yeah, about 4 years ago there was an earthquake who's epicenter was about 3 hours south of my hometown in Indiana and I felt it. That was pretty crazy. Yeah, it was nothing major, but still to feel and earthquake in Indiana is just flat out strange. I had no idea why my house was shaking at the time. It was until they told me that night at work did I finally find out why.

I remember it pretty well. I was taking the GQE exam my sophomore year in high school and they pulled us out and brought us into another room because they said there was something on the news that we had to see. We all just kind of stood there stunned. As we watched the coverage, we then saw the two towers collapse. It was pretty crazy. Then they took us back to testing. I thought that was kind of funny. "There's this national disaster occuring right now where our country has been attacked and thousands of people are dying.... OK back to the test that determines if you graduate." Not that it really effected me or that there was much they could really do.

Favorite Disney Park
Scaparri replied to America Sings Freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't know why, but I'm a big fan of EPCOT. I guess I just like all the unusual things, like the different countries and unusual attractions. Magic Kingdom is definately a top pick as well. -
