I was wondering how long it'd take before PETA stepped in. You know, I respect people's opinions and all, but sometimes I just feel like it's an organization constantly trying to get another 15 minutes of fame. I'm waiting for them to come out with hover shoes so that we don't step on ants and other bugs on the ground.

photo TR AussieA$$hole and the Kiwi invade Dreamworld
Scaparri replied to rabid disney's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Awesome TR. Oh how I miss SFKK's Vekoma Waikiki Wave. Those rides are seriously freakin' awesome. Definately one of the best flats I've ever ridden. -
I was at King's Island in '01 and as the train went up the second lift hill and lost momentum, I fell forward on the restraint. The restraint popped all the way open until the seatbelt caught it. I went all the way up the lift hill and down the drop hanging on to the OTSR and depending on that little seatbelt. As I the train when into the loop, I scooted back into the seat and the harness locked back in. Easily one of the most frightening moments in my life. If it were up to me, almost every coaster would have a secondary seatbelt restraint. To this day, I tend to get uncomfortable on rides that don't have them. Because they are locked when the train is dispatched. Mine was locked when the ride started. For whatever reason, the something possibly broke or malfunctioned and the harness opened.

Extreme headchopper/mauler?
Scaparri replied to Warlord694's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Screw you guys... all of you. So yeah, there's some pretty jacked up parts of the state, I'm not going to lie. I grew up in a semi-normal area at least. -
Valleyfair (VF) Discussion Thread
Scaparri replied to the_rock401's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's awesome for Valleyfair. I doubt I'll make it back to the park anytime soon, but it's great to see them finally get a ride that puts them on the map. The park is a nice park, but it just lacks something. Steel Venom is good, but isn't unique at all. Wild Thing is big, but easily ranks last among the hypers I've been on (excluding Manhattan Express). High Roller isn't anything exciting, Excalibur needs to be axed, and Mad Mouse is decent for a mouse. There really isn't any major, really good, unique ride at VF. I'm pretty sure Renegade will do the trick. I'm sure it'll be a really fast pace ride with tons of pops of air in places you would expect it. Kind of like Thunderhead. -
I'm still dumbfounded by your high school. The whole concept of an outdoor campus or whatever you wanna call it is so weird, but pretty cool. Kind of like going to a small college it seems. -Scott "my high school was a big brick building with few windows" Parrish

Photo TR: Myrtle Beach Grand Prix
Scaparri replied to htomc42's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's really too bad. I didn't get out there during my Myrtle Beach visit in July, but I still remember going when I was a little kid and absolutely loving the place. It was one of my favorite memories from my childhood vacation to MB. They used to have this attraction that was like a cross between bumper cars and bumper boats. The vehicles were round, like a bumper boat with the inflatable tube around it and were driven using two levers, but you drove them on the ground in an arena type area like bumper cars. They were freakin' sweet. It's just kind of crazy that both it and the Pavilion are closing in the same year. It's really pretty sad. Oh well I guess. It's too bad, but I look forward to the new Hard Rock Park. -
X-Scream...
Scaparri replied to thrillrideseeker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, X-Scream is pretty freaky, but not nearly long enough. If I didn't get the arm band and just paid $8 for one ride, I would definately feel ripped off. Well, more ripped off than most of the other rides in Vegas (Manhattan Express excluded). But yeah, your heart definately races as it starts to slide out to the edge and when it suddenly drops. -

After just transferring to Butler University from Indiana University, it looks like I'm probably going to transfer again. This time, it has to do with money though. I'm fortunately getting a lot of financial aid here at Butler, which is nice since Butler is a very expensive school. However, the key part is it's VERY expensive. Even with my obscene amount of financial aid, I'm still paying a lot to go here. The aid doesn't cover everything and even then, not all of the aid is grants, so I still have to pay back some of that. To top things off, the engineering program here is 5 years, because you have to earn a science degree from Butler (like Physics or Bio) and earn an engineering degree from Purdue. It's a great program and all, but I'm paying a lot of money as it is to go here, and I have to go for an extra year to get degree I really don't want or need. I've just started wondering if I made the right choice in coming to BU. I feel like I should have gone to a school that has a cheaper 4 year program. I don't know what to do. I feel like I should transfer. I just wish I had thought of all of this before hand.

"Landed" by Ben Folds. Ben Folds reminds me of Lou. Has anybody heard from her? She hasn't been around in a long time and I haven't heard from her in a while.
-
I like indie pizza places, or not so nationwide places. All-time favorite- Lou Malnadi's (Chicago) Not-so-nationwide- Geno's East of Chicago Nationwide- California Pizza Kitchen There's also a place here in Indy called Bazbeaux Pizza that's pretty darn good. They are kind of similar to California Pizza Kitchen.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
Scaparri replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Raging Bull on August 7th. I feel like it's been forever since I've been on a coaster. -
Best Dark Roller Coaster?

I freakin' love FoF. I just failed to mention it as my favorite 'cause I wanted to stress that Runaway Mountain is awesome. -
Best B&M collection?
Scaparri replied to colossus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1. BGT- Sheikra, Montu, and Kumba... seriously are all top ten rides. Freakin' amazing 2. IOA- Fire, Ice, Hulk. Again, stellar rides, but not quite as good as BGT 3. SFOG- SUF and Scorcher are decent rides, but it's Batman and especially Goliath that really make it stand out. If it weren't for Goliath, SFOG would plummet. -
Who else has ridden Insanity?
Scaparri replied to a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, Insanity is pretty crazy. It wasn't quite as terrifying as I actually expected, but it was still freakin' scary. Not scary enough to only do it once though. I also thought Big Shot was the best ride on the tower. Amazing view, insane height, and wicked awesome airtime. -

Wow, Michigan is tearing Notre Dame a third poop chute. They already tore them a second one and it's not even half time. At this rate, ND should have five by the end of the game. One for each quarter.

Yeah, I've been kind of curious if I was visible much in that show. Would you happen to have a copy of it Julie. I'm curious to see how it turned out.
