Today begins Day One of TPR's Epic Oktoberfest Trip! And when we say "Epic" we MEAN it!!!

 

Yup we have made it to Oktoberfest!

 

Everywhere you look around, there are people and lots of rides. The people are mostly drunk, the rides are there to induce vomiting.

 

We see you Star Flyer! And Mr. Lowenbrau, we will be seeing you later.

 

First, let's get the credit whoring out of the way...

HA! HA! TPR is here riding and you're not bitches!

 

This ride was really amazing! While I wasn't expecting too much out of it, it had consistent speed and some good airtime! Was a great surprise!

 

Here are some of the trucks required to haul this coaster all around Germany.

 

Next we hit up the INSANE indoor spinning coaster, Hollenblitz. This coaster comes complete with a crazy lighting package and awesome theming!

 

There is even video of Robb riding Hollenblitz! Watch our for the Christmas trees!

 

 

This is the only outdoor part of the coaster.

 

Loading was "interesting" as the queue was split into to sides. One side loaded the front of the train, while the other side loaded the back.

 

Just in case you forgot the name of the coaster you were on, it's stamped into your lap bar!

 

There is one thing we forgot to tell you about this outside part...

 

You get WET!!!

 

There are at least four ghost trains that we counted at Oktoberfest!

This is a "beer carousel", no really...you get on this ride and they hand you a beer! This really happens!

 

Hello Lowenbrau! This is to be our home for the next 3-5 hours! What happens in here, should remain in here...but we're going to post it to TPR!

 

This is where we parked the stroller. We took a picture of it just in case we got too drunk and forgot!

The only way to really explain the beer tent is to BE THERE! But since you can't be there, check out this video...

It's mandatory that all flat rides at Oktoberfest have fog machines, awesome lighting, and crazy programs!

This is a GREAT idea when you're drunk!

 

Oktoberfest is a heightened experience when you can get into one of the beer tents!

 

All the major Munich Breweries have tents full of fun, boobs, and beer!

 

Apparently Paris Hilton got naked in this beer tent last year.

 

You can rent out the little houses on the Ferris Wheel and make out for about 12 minutes!

 

I'm not sure what this is, but I'm pretty sure it's not politically correct.

Ok, this we have to do later in the week! It's one of those "Spinning Wheel" rides where you pile on, and try not to die! (See TPR's Southport Video Segment!)

 

One more ride on Olympia Looping and this wraps up day one of our Oktoberfest trip!

Is Joey dead yet?

Seeing some of those Schwarzies made me miss SFDK's Zonga coaster. I know people complained that it was too rough, I actually enjoyed it. I'm glad I was able to ride it a couple times during it's debut season and glad I know I got to ride a coaster that once lived at the Oktoberfest.

Absolutely Epic! Man I really miss TPR.

Oktoberfest looks incredible in so many ways. I am insanely jealous of all of you!!

Truly Epic, I've always wanted to go to a fair in Europe. You guys seemed to have fun... and drunk... but that makes it more fun for you guys right?!

The video of Peirs on "Olympia Loopong" was hilarious!

 

Oktoberfest looks amazing, I went to a smaller Schützenfest when I was in Germany and was extremely impressed. I can't imagine how great Oktoberfest was... [Mainly Olympia Looping.]

I wish fairs were like that here. We only have stupid county fairs with ghetto rides...

 

Alpina Bahn looks a little rough judging from your video, whereas Olympia Looping looks pretty smooth. How are they holding up in their old age?

At some point during this update I decided that a real Oktoberfest in Germany would be added to my bucket list. Tons of beer, tons of food, tons of rides. I would puke my ever-loving guts out, but it would be worth it.

Insane awesome great excellent Photo TR It's EPIC And I was there searching you guys.. No, we didn't meet up .. Maybe if you'll go to HolidayPark? ?

I rarely use the word Epic to describe anything, but this TR, deserves an Epic rating, combined with the drunk comentary of Olympia Loopon (which BTW, looks fantastic in the night shots and video!) and shocker, but for one entertaining read. This should be the new standard of TPR TR's.

OK, I think I'm drunk from just reading all that.

My roommate and I have determined that we're now drunk by proxy from having witnessed Piers' antics.

I just poured me an epic Sam Adams and toasting this epic report! There's nothing like Oktoberfest! Been there, done that, and I better do it again and again! Your pictures have brought back so many memories that I forgot... Well, I was pretty plastered the entire time!

I am so envious of everyone on the Oktoberfest Trip right now. Everything about this update is simply epic. This is definitely on my bucket list.

I gotta say: After a certain "incident," I am now genuinely AFRAID of drunk people.

 

Oh yeah, and that chick that Joey was hitting on on was frigging HOT!!!

Of all the many great TPR updates and TRs, this is my favorite. Really enjoyed it and thanks!

It seems like you guys had a great time. Despite the atmosphere I'm never the one to get drunk while I travel because I get uncomfortable, but Oktoberfest might be the exception. It was funny seeing KidTums in the beer tent because of what was going on in the beer tent.

^Well, KidTums does live with Robb, so she's seen and heard much worse!

This looks pretty amazing! I wish I could have done this trip in addition to the past two trips this year! Oh well, next time.
