Nagashima Spa Land Discussion Thread

Postby gerstlaueringvar » Thu Aug 14, 2014 7:08 pm

Hey everybody!

This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Nagashima Spa Land, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page.

Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. Enjoy!

Check it out! Acrobat is a new B&M Flyer for Nagashima Spaland. Is it possible that it is a modified Manta clone?

From the pictures on their website, it does resemble a Manta clone.

Does that mean the teal track at the B&M factory is for here?

It even goes down to the odd supports on the first drop that were designed to go around the paths!

In all seriousness, it looks very nice, and is excellent for a first of its kind in Japan.

If it's anything like Manta it will be amazing! B&M flyers may just be my favorite type of coaster. :b :b

Seems like an awkward, if mildly clever, theme to go with that name. I'd think the more expected circus theming would be more fun, but what do I know?

Yeah, it does look like it's a clone of Manta, but Manta really is a great coaster, so the folks that ride this are in for a real treat. I wish there were more B&M flyers out there, especially ones with pretzel loops.
