Hilltopper39
So is there no single rider line at all anymore for Flight of passage? Or do they just close the single rider line later in the night, I know I've seen some attractions do that close to park closing ( we used to at the attraction I worked on). robbalvey
So is there no single rider line at all anymore for Flight of passage? There never was a single rider line. It was "planned" but never used. By the time the ride opened to the public the signage was gone.
Hilltopper39
Oh that's interesting, I must be remembering the signage from all the previews and never realized it was removed before the actual public opening. I've always wondered what goes into the decision to have a single rider line and why some attractions have them and some don't.
CaptainUnknown
I've always wondered what goes into the decision to have a single rider line and why some attractions have them and some don't. Marginally better capacity, the space/money to build a queue for it, and guest desire for one immediately come to mind. As someone who usually rides solo, I look for the single rider lines as they usually get me on the ride that much quicker. And in the cases where I'm not alone and there's a single-rider option, my party is usually willing to split up to get on faster. And since I'm a single rider, I'm not always excited about standing in line for a good while when I could have filled at least half a dozen empty seats on cycles while I wait. But I'm sure there are more complex and thought-out reasons as well that parks consider.
Zero One
Yet another Animal Kingdom photo trip report: Tree of Life Thanks, Mr. Eisner! Close up Another close up Squawk. Make sure to check out this macaw show in front of the Tree of Life that isn't on the schedule. It's usually 15 mins after the hour before noon and on the hour at 1, 2, and 3pm. Otter Lemur treats equal... ...a chubby lemur Let's go to Asia It's a swing off! A water ride would feel good today. Still over 90 degrees in Orlando. These people enjoyed it You may get wet The Jungle Trek is probably the best of the exhibits (take that, Gorilla Falls!) Huey, Dewey, and Louie Feathered friends Here is daddy tiger. Mom and the cubs will be off exhibit until at least January. Over at Flights of Wonder we have more lovely birds No more wild grapes in the forests of Asia Guano Joe and his tour flag Woops... But it's Ok, he made a friend in the end A small temple It's Everest time! Looks like these folks are enjoying it I am not sure what is up with that guy in the back REX Floating mountains must mean we are in Pandora I've been to Pandora about a dozen times this summer and I keep finding new details like these lamps The drum show is a fun way to spend a few minutes Guests are invited to make music too You may even hear the Navi The Ikran, or as humans call it: a Banshee These totems are another really well done detail AVTR facility layout. Disney recently released a lot more FastPasses for Flight of Passage so you now have a better chance of getting one for your trip There were 5 baby Galapagos Giant tortoises on exhibit. Adults can weigh up to 700 lbs. These looked more like 10 lbs. Meerkat on patrol A juvenile African Crown crane Safari time Black rhino Baby pelican Look out, Captain Hook! Hyena having a snack Elephants Hyena nap Giraffic jam Baby elephant parade White rhinos Cheetahs So often impossible to see, the Lion was in perfect position today This African harp player was very good. Another show not on the schedule. Wrapping up let's take a look at some of the hurricane Irma damage. Here one of the doors in the Tiger habitat area had to be replaced. The lemurs lost one of their trees This giant tree fell over the river next to the Africa/Pandora boardwalk. This might take a while for them to remove. At the entrance another tree took out the fence around the black swan pond. They've put up a temporary one for now.

deguy123
Flight of Passage was hands down the best ride I have ever been on! I haven't even seen the movie (I know I know) but it blew my mind! We had fastpass and it took about 10 mins BUT the wait in standby was about 110 minutes. The river ride had some down time so the FastPass was extremely long once we went over, so we skipped the 120 minute wait in standby. I saw a women push an employee on the shoulder who was explaining to guest why the FastPass line was so long (due to the downtime). Who acts like that and more SO acts like that in Disney??? Zero One
Festival of the Lion King continues to be one of the best shows at Walt Disney World. From humble beginnings as a quick fix filler for the park's opening it is now a constant crowd pleaser with over a dozen performances every day (that all fill to capacity). I just can't wait to be King The tumble monkeys Stick the landing It's clear from your vacant expressions The lights are not all on upstairs But we're talking kings and successions Even you can't be caught unawares So prepare for a chance of a lifetime Be prepared for sensational news A shining new era Is tiptoeing nearer And where do we feature? Just listen to teacher I know it sounds sordid But you'll be rewarded When at last I am given my dues And injustice deliciously squared Be prepared! Can you feel the love tonight? Just watching this part makes me dizzy In the circle of life It's the wheel of fortune It's the leap of faith It's the band of hope Till we find our place On the path unwinding In the circle, the circle of life

ECZenith
Hello everyone, I hope it is ok to post this here , since my main question is regarding Animal Kingdom. I just scored some decent plane tickets and it looks like my girlfriend and I will be headed to Orlando February 7-13. A couple of people told me this may be close to February’s school breaks but I am unsure and wanted to ask some locals if this is a good week To go crowd wise. I want to get a two day park hopper for Disney, a two day ticket for Universal and a one day ticket forSea World. Should this be enough time to get everything done at Disney? (The two day hopper) I am worried Pandora will be super busy, what would be my best bet for making sure I get the Avatar rides done this week? Thanks in advance! SharkTums
Local schools are not out at all that week, but that is a week you'll see a lot of random northern schools out as well as South American groups. When you ask if two days is enough at Disney you have to tell us a bit more about what you'd like to do at Disney? We just talked about this a lot in CoasterBill's thread (http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=75479) so I would check there first for some info on doing Pandora and more. Zero One
It's the itty bitty kitty committee! The two Sumatran tiger cubs are now out on exhibit and guests are finally able to see them in person. Below are some of my photos but you can also see . Just know if you go to see them that currently they are only out in the mornings to about noon. They get tired pretty quickly and need to rest so if you go later in the day you will not get to see them. But when they are out they are active! They love to run, play, and climb trees (much to mom's annoyance).
