CaptainUnknown Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 I work the evening/night shift and got off work 3 hours early because of how absolutely f'n cold it was going to be up here in Minneapolis (-60 with the wind). I had my car into the mechanic this morning to fix the heat. My car would not start. Tried to jump it for near 30 minutes. So, my car is going to be sitting in my workplace parking lot until Friday when it's warm enough to attempt to start it up again. Thursday will be -37F before wind. Saturday will be 37F above.
Nrthwnd Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Compared to other parts of North America, this isn't that much, but.... Â We got/are still getting SNOW!!! Â (Photos taken less than five minutes ago...) Looking out to our back yard. And over past the upper deck. Front yard and beyond. Looking down the block.
Nrthwnd Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 "And Nearly One Hour Later After That..." It starts to reflect the blue of the bldg.behind it. Cool!
jlp94 Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Currently in the middle of a wintry mix storm. The roads are extremely slick; I live right by the local fire department and have heard them roll out a few times this afternoon.
Nrthwnd Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Found this photo, that read.... Â "Current situation in East Van" Â
Canobie Coaster Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 We're getting 6 inches of snow this afternoon in what has been a very mild winter by Boston's standards.
bgtlover Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Our high today was 86. Tomorrow we'll be lucky to hit 60 and then 37 overnight/Thursday Morning. Then we'll be back to the 70s Thursday afternoon. Good times.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Sleeting right now. Forecast is for "wintry mix" which is snow, sleet, and freezing rain all at the same time. Joy.
Nrthwnd Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 ^^ I'd say that's pretty reputable advice, there.
VF15 Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 It’s still a bit early but the forecast is calling for about a foot of snow next week in Central Minnesota. Spring was fun while it lasted.
RollingCoasting Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 It was 75 here last week and today we got almost 5 inches of snow. Sometimes it sucks living in the Midwest
9Armgeddon4 Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Well all that snow melted within a day. Seriously when I left my house for work on Monday the ground was covered in snow and by the time I got home at night the snow had melted.
Nrthwnd Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Lots of rain today and tomorrow - but sunshine over the coming Easter weekend. I hope.
tinaalsgirl Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Just a bit of rain and thunder here right now, but southwest Missouri has been lit up in tornado warnings; Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas are also getting hit today.
CaptainUnknown Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 The Minneapolis-St. Paul airport still has snow on the ground. Even with 100 degree Fahrenheit temps the past couple days. Â Minnesota weather sucks.
Jason Maier Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 BRUTALLY HOT (heat index reaching and possibly breaking 100) in Maryland this weekend.
Nrthwnd Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Two nights ago, we had a snowfall, and then it rained most of the stuff away.... Â Last night...we got dumped on. And it looks/feels like it's staying a wee bit longer. Down the block. From the front porch. Upper deck. Back yard.
DoinItForTheFame Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 The weather is... Frustrating here. One day it is 64 degrees, that night it's down to 24 degrees, back to mid 60's the next day, and back down to below freezing and snowing that night. No wonder everyone around here is sick.
Nrthwnd Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Right now,. we are being TOTALLY DUMPED ON, by snow. Several times in the past several hours, generous neighbors have cleared the sidewalks and walkways... but to no avail, now. We're screwed with this one. Looking out into the back yard, from where I'm sitting, here.
thrillseeker4552 Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Northern Utah is... depressing. It will completely dump snow for consecutive days all week and stay in the teens and 20s. Then the sun will come out, and it will reach maybe 35 degrees. Then you get one beautiful, perfectly cool day (which was Thursday this week), then boom - snow again. Rinse and repeat. Â I guess that's what you get at the higher latitudes and higher elevations. I'm just looking forward to going home to California for Spring Break in a couple weeks and escaping this depressing weather!
