Movieguy Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I'd like Pablo Francisco more if he'd get some new material...it seems like he's been using the same bits since the late 90's.

disneygurlz2s Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I can't believe no one mentioned Kathy Griffin. She is hillarious. My best friend and I just went to see her live last month and I was exhausted from laughing by the time it was over. Shari
JamieCara Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Sarah Silverman Dane Cook (Saw him live back in November... he was AMAZING!)
Movieguy Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I guess I like Sarah Silverman too...her delivery style's a little too subdued for me, but I did like her "Jesus is Magic" concert movie. Plus her new show on Comedy Central has had some funny moments.
supertrooper Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I love Sarah Silverman. And George Carlin, and the late, great Bill Hicks. I guess I just like any comedian that makes fun of religion.
Spookbaby Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 I love Jim Gaffigan. On his DVD "Beyond the Pale" all he does is talk about food and it's freaking hysterical. Made me think of you Robb... Laura "The Food Network's like porn" Huls
terrancew_hod Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 My short list: Rudy Ray Moore - THE pioneer for black comedy from the 1970s... i have all his re-released CDs (and some of his out-of-print works) and his albums are collectors items. His comedy consists of X-rated rhymes and skits of the exploits of pimps and hustlers. He also starred in numerous blaxploitation movies and albums... some of his works was sampled on 2 Live Crew's albums--that's how filthy some of his works. Richard Pryor - I have all his albums too. Def a pioneer. Robin Harris - His "Be Be's Kids" album was a classic. Eddie Murphy - Not a big fan of most of his movies, but his comedy acts were classic. Lawanda Page - if you heard any of her material, you'd find it ironic that she was cast as Church-goin "Aunt Ester" on "Sanford and Son". Wanda Sykes - the woman is just nuts. I read her book on my trip to L.A. over christmas and she killed me that she didn't have enough words for the intro so she started making stuff up and kept asking "Is that 1000 words yet? No? Well Let me keep goin. At least that's about 30. Oh there's a few more."
CoasterNut17 Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Larry the Cable Guy Ray Romano Will Farell Robin Williams and the "Who's Line is it Anyway?" crew!
bigjohnson51 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Chris Rock, Demetri Martin, and Lewis Black are my favorites.
Guest Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Dennis Leary, Jerry Seinfeld, The Blue Collar guys, and Steven Wright are my favorites. Seinfeld I don't care so much for his standup, but the show is (still) one of the best shows on TV IMO.
Adam_C Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Dennis Leary, Jerry Seinfeld, The Blue Collar guys, and Steven Wright are my favorites. Seinfeld I don't care so much for his standup, but the show is (still) one of the best shows on TV IMO. Leary? pfft. Watch Bill Hicks' stuff if you wanna see the original material that he stole.
Guest Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Need to add Lewis Black, can't believe I didn't think of him. Leary? pfft. Watch Bill Hicks' stuff if you wanna see the original material that he stole. I've heard that, though I've never seen his act. I'll have to check him out some time...
holyblakbelt Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Chris Farley, the greatest SNLer who lived, or died.

Gotta quote this post! Hicks is THE man, and my favorite comedian of all time. Leary is an asshole. Other favorites: Mitch Hedberg and David Cross.
californiascreamer1 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Carlos Mencia At times he can be a little raunchy and racial, But he's Friggin Hilarious!
socalMAN123 Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 3. Chris Rock: This guy is freakin hilarious! Very original humor and executes it perfectly. 2. Carlos Mencia: He may be quite racist, but he cracks me up! "Now I'm scrubbing other people's s**t 6 times a day!" 1. Dane Cook: Funniest man alive. Period. His acting and his voices automatically make his stand-up FREAKIN HILARIOUS!! ---Brent
gnewton34 Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Sarah Silverman is a goddess! Margaret Cho is not too far behind.
