^^ So, did you actually ride Riddler? Or did you just take pictures of the "pretty" lights.

Just took pictures, was having motion sickness so didnt wanna risk riding a swinging flat ride. Might check it out tomorrow though.

^ Too bad about the motion sickness. Riddler is an oustanding flat ride, and we are lucky to have it in our park.

I got to ride it today, it did make me nauseous but its an awesome ride. Its a great addition to the park, the guests seem to LOVE it. Six Flags should put in more of these at other parks!!

Brief trip report from 7/27-7/28

Both days were plagued with ride closures due to scattered thunder storms, but they cleared in enough time for us to ride what we wanted.

NTaG-Best ride in the park and my favorite RMC. Not sure why this ride gets mixed reviews, I found the ride forceful with plenty of ejector. A bit rough in the back seat but smooth as glass in the front.

Pandemonium-Nothing special, if you've ridden one spinner you've ridden them all.

Mr. Freeze-Been wanting to ride this ever since I discovered RCDB in the late 90's. It's a solid ride, great lauch, awesome forces, probably my 2nd fave in the park.

Runaway Mountain-THEE surprise of the park!! I thought it would just be an average indoor family coaster. Wow, what a punch this ride packs and completely in the dark!! 3rd fave in the park.

Runaway Mine Train and Mini Mine Train-Had more fun for some reaason on Mini Mine. Both great family attractions, the park is extremely well rounded IMO as far as variety of attractions go.

Titan-Do I dare say SFMM actually takes better care of their Giovanola hyper? I was shocked at how rough and rattly Titan was compared to Goliath which is still one of the smothest rides in the park. The extra helix did nothing for me except make me dizzy. One ride was enough even though it was a walk on

Shockwave VR-My first VR experience was extremely pleasant. Enjoyed it 1000%, though wouldn't wait more than 20mins for it.

Judge Roy Scream-Fun, nothing spectacular. Got a few small pops of air

Batman-Same as the others, the queue and station however are very different from the clones I've ridden thus far. Much bigger station area than the ealier models. The ride closed right after we got our credit due to thunder/torrential down pour.

Justice League-Was actually our very first ride as almost everything was shut down when we arrived due to thunder. I thought the ride was great, all the effects worked (lol), and loved the movement of the ride vehicle in correspondence with the screens.

Didn't get to ride La Vibora, was struggling with motion sickness and the extreme humidity (I'm from California, our heat is much dryer lol). So I sat out while my friend got his credit, he said he actually enjoyed it.

All in all great park with a lot of charm. Friendly but extremely slow and unenthusiastic staff

I found this to be true as well. I've always liked the Magic Mountain version, but this was unpleasant. The bottom of the drop was far more rough / bumpy than the MM version and that extra helix didn't do the ride any favors. One thing I did notice is that it still drew huge crowds and, aside from NTAG, was the "big draw" ride of the park. I don't know what's caused it to be so much rougher than the SFMM one, but it could certainly use some work.

I wonder how likely it would be for SF to bring a GCI to SFOT? I know its been quite a few years since they have worked with GCI. I started thinking about this due to the fact that SFOT is lacking a modern woodie. I never really gave it a thought before. It could definitely fit in the area where the old mall is. And it would be easy to theme it to the area.

I haven't visited the park in a while, but every time I've visited Titan was smooth and had a three train wait max, while New Texas Giant, Mr. Freeze and Batman all had long lines. I used to not care much for Titan at all, but I enjoyed it on my last visit for what it is - tall, fast and intense. That being said, I actually wish Titan would be removed or relocated (doubt that will ever happen) since it has a large footprint and could be replaced by better rides.

I have long said that Judge Roy Scream should be torn down and replaced with something better.

The only thing that fits in that long skinny plot of land would be some kind of out and back hypercoaster, and we already have Titan, so...

Titan was fairly smooth, but there's a noticeable different between the way it and Goliath runs — mainly at the bottom of the drop. On Titan, that part was rattly and a bit jarring (although not too bad). On Goliath, that part of the ride is totally smooth. Something's different between them, but who knows what's causing it?

If there's one lesson that can be learned from Grona Lund, it is that you can do a lot with very little land. And looking at the aerial view for Judge Roy Scream, this is more than enough land to put some flat rides and a narrow coaster like an S&S 4D coaster...

I wouldn't be so sure that this is for a new bumper cars ride for a few reasons: the permit was applied for in December 2015, issued in January of this year, and expires in December of this year. That doesn't sound like something new for next year. The old bumper cars building had been used for a haunted house and was demolished because the city would no longer permit for such use. I think it's more likely that this permit is for a new, semi-permanent building for a haunted house on the old bumper cars site and the label "Bumper Cars" is being applied purely for geography reasons. Finally, the park is listed as the general contractor. It's highly unlikely that the park would build a new ride or the structure for a new ride in-house, but they typically do the haunted house construction in-house. That's my two cents.

Oh thats really smart!! Ok yeah that makes much more sense considering that I cant believe sfot would actually put in bumper cars to a park that needs a rollercoaster BADLY.

The old bumper cars building is gone. It was demolished to put in Catwoman whip. The bumper car site no longer exists. So no you wouldn't put in a temporary haunt on the site because CatWoman Whip is there now. The bumper cars may be being built next door in the Strip Mall. Add them and new restruant and maybe retail and a new indoor queue for the S&S Free Spin going in front of the building.
