codeGR Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I agree! They've been doing a lot of that recently, which I support.
codeGR Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Wonder what this means for dining options in the park? "Coasters" gets old after a while. ir.cedarfair.com/newsroom/press-releases/news-release-details/2017/Cedar-Fair-to-Introduce-Four-New-Roller-Coasters-Expand-Family-Attractions-and-Upgrade-Dining-Facilities-in-2018/default.aspx
grsupercity Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Michigan has a crazy craft beer scene. They really need to tap into that and have some craft beer and coaster days. Sounds like no new rides this year? Just up dated food options. Hopefully another indoor sitdown eatery
MIAfan88 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 A sit-down by Thunderhawk, Grand Rapids, and the train would be a prime location.
thrillrider Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 This information has already been leaked. New for 2018... There will now be more food options available at the park when they open for the 2018 season. The park is proud to announce that they will now offer grilled cheese sandwiches to the menu. This is the parks plan to compete with the booming popularity of grilled cheese restaurant chains nationwide. In addition, the sandwiches will have the familiar peanuts gang imprinted into them. The grilled cheese sandwiches will be available at the churro cart starting opening day. This marks the 8th straight year of aggressive capital investment for Michigan's Adventure, that is bound to make it a top player in the amusement industry.
codeGR Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Looks like there will be improvements to the catering areas.https://twitter.com/miadventure/status/926171978540683264
Ed Farmer Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 2 new family rides coming in 2018! Round Hawk and Cage Hawk
Dombot Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 What a way to bump a thread. Well done guys.
MiABeta Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 This thread is as dead as my hopes are for anything new at this park tbh. Don't get me wrong I still love this little park, but it would be nice to get something. I might even start counting trash cans and flower pots to see what's happening there.
ThemeParkJunkie51290 Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Something new and exciting will come to this park . . . well . . . eventually. I hope . . .
Platinum Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 The fact that this could be well within the park's budget and would be an easy sell (next-gen + a coaster), and yet we still have nothing.
Rougarou Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Get rid of the parks manager Camille Jordan-Mark and her husband the head of park mantainance. They hold the park back from ANY meaningful expansion.
Jason Maier Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Get rid of the parks manager Camille Jordan-Mark and her husband the head of park mantainance. They hold the park back from ANY meaningful expansion. How so? And that concept art of a winged superloop . . . . looks really damn cool!
coasterbill Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Get rid of the parks manager Camille Jordan-Mark and her husband the head of park mantainance. They hold the park back from ANY meaningful expansion. What a ridiculous post. I don't even know where to begin. Michigan's Adventure is a really nice little park. It's a shame people don't appreciate the place for what it is... a small to medium sized park serving a small to medium sized market.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Get rid of the parks manager Camille Jordan-Mark and her husband the head of park mantainance. They hold the park back from ANY meaningful expansion. Nah, they're good in my book. When I was there, a couple of teenage boys cut the entire line by telling everyone they had friends just up there. She came by to personally escort them off the coaster. The whole line was thanking her, to which she said "It's my pleasure, all of you deserve to have a good time here." She's got the right attitude, and it shows in the park. Never met the head of maintenance, but Shivering Timbers runs like the Voyage and Thunderhawk is not only tolerable but fun. I'd say he knows what he's doing.
Philrad71 Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 If Darien Lake can get a new coaster, anything is possible for MA. Not the same owners, I know...but it's a similar sized park in a similar sized market.
DorneyKid14 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Get rid of the parks manager Camille Jordan-Mark and her husband the head of park mantainance. They hold the park back from ANY meaningful expansion. No no. That would not be their fault. That would be on cedar fair for not investing capital into the park.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 But they are investing in the park, just with things like a petting zoo. They have to be smart with their investments. MiA has major staffing problems, and the last thing you want in that situation is more rides. If anything, they need to remove a few rides that require more than one person to operate. Another big coaster like the enthusiasts want, which would require 5 or so people at all times to run, is ludicrous.

grsupercity Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 2018 Park map is available. I didn't really notice any significant of change. https://cdn-cloudfront.cfauthx.com/binaries/content/assets/ma-en-us/general-information/explore/directions/ma-2018---park-map.pdf
Parker821 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Michigan's adventure got a new ride manager this year. The old one went to carowinds. The new one worked at Disney before moving to MA. Don't know if this would change anything.
