neovortex2k Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Yeah I'm not sure about this one. Seem to be a lot of stopping and starting. Cool concept though.
KingRCT3 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I love that last coaster. I had a quite similar idea, using interactive launches so yup, thumbs up Japan for building it. I could easily see two of them interactive racing coasters, using that scream technology. Instead of launches, a powered coaster might be more suitable, though. Scream to win!
bert425 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I see "Monster's Inc. Roller Coaster" written all over this. yep.. . would be a perfect kind of ride for Disney!
Hockeydad Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 That looked really smooth...and fun! Two words from my childhood that never accompanied the word Togo.
King Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 That was weird...but seems fun if they'd let up on the block brakes. That would probably reduce the amount of lifts too. I'm sure a scream isn't required. I'd be the stubborn guy and sit there with my arms crossed.
GnastyGnoric7 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 This coaster is quite bizarre, but awesome at the same time, I sure hope more are installed.
bert425 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 aw. . .c'mon people! . . how can you let the "bag-o-crap" thread go quiet???
CobraRollGuy Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I am not a big screamer, so I will probably go slow on this coaster.
Dschu Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I didn't know where to post this. Do u have to be a certain age to join club tpr and go on the trips? I'm 14 and I am interested in signing up.
rcjp Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 ^ Here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/events/Japan2014.pdf Scroll to the bottom and you'll find such information (and more). You have to be 16 to go alone on a trip (with permission) I'm not sure about club tpr but I think there is no minimum age.
robbalvey Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 Let's give a Bag-O-Crap to GrapesLie - Email robbalvey@themeparkreview.com and put "video crap" in the subject. Here's another video! Yes! It's a Chinese Knock-Off Wild Mouse with random chickens running around under the ride! If we get FIFTY comments before we post the next video, we'll give away a Bag-O-Crap! POST YOUR COMMENTS!
Woodie Warrior Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Wonder if a chicken has ever found its way onto the track
rcjp Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 ^It doesn't look very complicated for them to do it, I guess Now those were some smooth transitions!
Guy T. Koepp Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 There looks to be so much pain involved with these things. Thanks for taking the bullet Robb.
bert425 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Why did the Chicken cross the track? to escape the pain of a Chinese Knock off Wild Mouse! all I can add is. . . OUCH!
yay101 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Why did the Chicken cross the track? to escape the pain of a Chinese Knock off Wild Mouse! That was an interesting concept...
valleyfairfanatic Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Oh china, only you would put chickens under a roller coaster. I guess you could say some coasters have pecking orders *ba dum tss. btw i commented
robbalvey Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 Ok, so I have another video to post! If we get FIFTY comments, I will give away TWO bags-O-Crap! Are you ready for this? Yes, this actually exists in the world... a CHINESE KNOCK-OFF MAURER SOHNE SKY LOOP!!! POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!
rcjp Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Interesting... It seems to lose more speed than the original ones as it doesn't make it quite as far up the lift (after it drops) neither does it backwards. It also appears to take its time to come back down again, but maybe it isn't terrible
gerstlaueringvar Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 This is a relatively smooth coaster, seats arrangement gives a lot of arm space just like Intamin trains, OTSR's are comfortable even while hanging upside down. For the first time in my life, I put my hands up on a Chinese knock-off coaster!
