Mrlittle Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 ^ Ouch. Reminds me of when Texas Cyclone had the casket trains.
Nrthwnd Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I painfully remember what it's like, riding on that thing. So, I'm not going to even look at the video...out of fear. But "DING DONG, The Canyon's DEAD!"
Cyrbuzz Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Thank you very much Robb. You run a very generous website and I'm proud to be a part of it. I sent my info via my gmail account. Thanks again!
Woodie Warrior Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Looks painfully rough. But why do the trains have the strange headrests?
Vtafro Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 "Is it over yet?", "could that have been the worst wooden coaster ever?" Those statements sound familiar. As bad, worse or not as bad as hades360?
robbalvey Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 ^ That's a VERY good question... I'd almost say "worse" only because at least Hades 360 had a redeemable part with the new inversion. But who knows how long that will actually be "good" for...
Coaster19 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 It looks like they have the ability to cover the trains in case it rains for something, is this true? if not, what is up with the cars?
robbalvey Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 But why do the trains have the strange headrests? It's for reach envelope. Parts of the ride are so close to the track that they needed to add these roll cages to keep people from sticking their hands out of the car.
bert425 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 But why do the trains have the strange headrests? It's for reach envelope. Parts of the ride are so close to the track that they needed to add these roll cages to keep people from sticking their hands out of the car. oy. .that makes it even MORE frightening -- like being stuck in a small box being shaken! (I watched this earlier from your FB post, and I had flashbacks to the "enclosed" Texas Cyclone cars too. . so it was funny to see someone else mention it here). Heh, I even ended up looking at the video you did from the back seat of the Cyclone just to compare how shaky it was. I respect you greatly for subjecting you and your "tender parts" (and your wife ) to all that shaking!
TroyWD98 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 That looked absolutely dreadful! No wonder why it got demolished. I haven't been on Hades 360 but, out of coasters I've been on, it definitely looks worse than Ghostrider.
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Not helping this park but Hades360 is definitely worse than this. At least Elissa's facial expression after this looks much better than Hades360.
GnastyGnoric7 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 The train reminds me of trains that were on Texas Cyclone at one point.
rcjp Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 It's funny how it was so bad that they then added extra padding.
bert425 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 ^ Padding never helped. At. All. tell that to a drag queen!
LiMiT Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 ^Amen sistah! The roll cages make me think of the old vertical lift bobsled coasters. I can imagine both those and this coaster are/were very painful.
simon8899 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 NASDA could have bought it for making vibration tests - if equipment survives this coaster it will certainly survive any rocket ride into space...
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 NASDA could have bought it for making vibration tests - if equipment survives this coaster it will certainly survive any rocket ride into space... That's a way to say Morgan trains are with great quality right? I think Timberliners are "unbeatable" as well.
arby Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 That looked dreadful. Like someone else, the closest woodie I can compare to this is Ghostrider.
SuperShawn Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Loved visiting that park and location but that ride hurt like no tomorrow.
robbalvey Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Well, we didn't quite get enough comments for a Bag-O-Crap giveaway. Let's try this one... Hey look! A somewhat decent looping coaster in china! And it has sea lion brakes and an orgasming woman! What's not to like? If we get 25 comments before I post the next video I'll give away a Bag-O-Crap. So.... POST YOUR COMMENTS!
