Yolocoaster looks more interesting. Wing riders don't excite me too much. Swarm was good but not great. I can't imagine Gatekeeper being too much better. Whereas Yolocoaster looks like it was designed by someone on drugs, how could I not be more excited about that?

I have the ability to ride both this year, so this is a very tough decision. I will have to say Gatekeeper. Full Throttle looks like lots of fun, but Gatekeeper's pure size and length is amazing. The gorgeous, exaggerated elements of a B&M Wing coaster beat the worlds biggest loop in my opinion.

Gatekeeper! For two reasons (no, three!). First, I'm a damned proud Ohioan. Second, due to the distance/financial constraints. Ok, and third, the layout. In my opinion, Gatekeeper has a much more expansive layout. Aside from it being a much longer coaster, it's in a unique position at the entrance of a park with water on both sides, and a whole bunch o yeehaa right behind it. Don't get me wrong though, I'd hit up yolo too asap if I had the funds.

I love Premier rides, and this one looks pretty quirky. So it's a close call. I voted for Gatekeeper because it's a massive ride, and it's got so many zero g/heartline rolls/flat spins, which I love what the wing coasters do. It's my favorite coaster element and this type of coaster pulls it off the best in my opinion. I liked Wild Eagle because it was a different style of ride, so I know what to expect with Gatekeeper. I just hope the restraints won't squeeze the life out of me like they did on Wild Eagle, that really made me hate the ride.

Far more excited for SFMM's than CP's. It looks like it has the potential to be a thrilling ride. Anyone who has ridden X-Flight, Wild Eagle, Swarm, and X-Raptor has already ridden Gatekeeper. As far as Wing Coasters go, an especially nice-looking paint scheme and it's placement on a beach are the two details that stand out for me. They're fun to look at and moderately fun to ride. It's a people eater that generates excitement in the crowd and won't be down for mechanical reasons often. A sound, low-risk investment.

SFMM is swinging for the fences with their ride, and I appreciate that, because when you don't, you get...well...Gatekeeper... It can be a dud, but one need only look at SFOT (and in all likelihood, SFFT) and the Rocky Mountain remake of Texas Giant (and Rattler). I'd call that one a higher risk investment that payed off in spades, at least as far as ride experience goes.

I vote for Gatekeeper as it really seems to take the wing coaster to the next level and looks much better than any other wing coaster out there yet. The height, speed, and placement of the coaster make it top notch.

YOLO just seems to me like a mediocre, short launcher that doesn't take advantage of its awesome terrain. I have no doubt it will be fun but honestly, having two-sided track isn't that cool.

So my vote goes to Gatekeeper

Even though I'm a California native, I gotta go with Gatekeeper, it wasn't over hyped and when the rumors started coming in I didn't really have high hopes for this coaster, but the announcement came and yeah I got really excited for it! Not saying Full Throttle won't stand out, but it was way over hyped as the coaster everyone was going to love and it turned out to be gimmicky. Still looks fun but I'm gonna go with Gatekeeper...

I placed my vote for Gatekeeper at Cedar Point ( and not because I have a platinum season pass and planning for me and my friend to go there on our vacation this summer), but because I got to ride X-Flight at Six Flags Great America and that coaster was one great ride! However, me and my friend are saving our pennies for a trip to California next year, in which we do plan to visit Magic Mountian for two days ( knowing how crowded that park get, two days may be enough to cover everything) and get our opportunity to ride YOLOcoaster. Mewonders if this coaster will provoke the same reaction years ago when I rode Kingsta Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure and had to stop for a soda and couldn't stop laughing; not to mention willing to spend two and half hours in line later that night to ride Kingsta Ka again?

Would any of these coasters be that great for the other parks to either BEAT IT or EAT IT?

Kings Dominion - 35 years of visiting that park and still growing!!!

Though I really love what Premier is doing with their launched coasters and I think Yolocoaster is going to have some great interactions with the Superman plaza area, I still pick Gatekeeper. Yolocoaster is certainly unique and will probably be a fun ride, but in my opinion I think Yolocoaster is too much of a one trick pony. It will be great the first time and a couple of times after that, but then it will start to fade as it really only has one or two highlight elements. Gatekeeper on the other hand is considerably longer, has wonderful interactions with the new towers and the entrance area, and takes the concept of a wing coaster to new heights, speed, etc as you would expect for a Cedar Point coaster. So for me, the clear winner is Gatekeeper, though I'm sure Yolocoaster will be enjoyable as well.

YOLO is great, but short.

Gatekeeper is great, but long.

Gatekeeper has more inversions, and really adds to the front entrance.

YOLO will be renamed YORO: You Only Ride Once. It's good, but no "come back for more 'o that awesome" elements.

Gatekeeper: Let's see: Dive drop, Immelman, Flat spin, TOWER ROLL (Behold! a new inversion!) and I probably forgot a bazillion other things.

My Vote Is: GateKeeper FTW!

I voted YOLO only because I'm located much closer to it than Gatekeeper. But in terms of which will be the better coaster, I might have to go with Gatekeeper. I tend to prefer longer coasters, in which Gatekeeper definitely beats YOLO since it doesn't look like a one-trick pony. But I do think that I will still genuinely enjoy YOLO since it is a launched coaster, and I prefer launch coasters to coasters with traditional chain lifts.

So I think you win with either one, but I will only be riding YOLO this year since I am unable to make it to Ohio for the time being.

Very hard to decide.

I probably won't ride Gatekeeper in the foreseeable future, but it looks really damn nice.

I am fairly excited to try out a 160' tophat though, and I will actually be riding that one this year, so by a very fine margin, YOLOcoaster.
