viking86 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 What a cute little drop! I also like the all-white color, will be interesting to see how it works with the surrounding area once it's complete.
StealthFan Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Im still not seeing anything thats making me think "yeah I want to go back to Gardaland and ride this". Not a fan of the colours but I am still hoping that the finished project will change my mind.
RCT3Bross Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Is it just me or is Gardaland trying very hard to make the webcam image as useless as possible. I mean it doesn't even shown a complete lift en yet we have the drop done. I mean come on either make it useful or don't tease us with it at all, I understand that they want to control it to some extend but this isn't funny anymore. Anyways now I blew of my steam that drop looks nice, nothing special but nice.

I agree to 100%. I mean the "lava" over the tunnel was okay, but I just don't see the point of photoshopping away the entire lift.
Damylv Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 immelman is now complete http://gardaland2015.it/webcam/stream
K1ngdaKa88 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Check out this full realistic picture of the webcam!!!! It looks so realistic!!!!!
RyanTPM Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 ^ I just don't understand what they're aiming for by doing that.

Exactly. I've been following this thread for awhile now, but I seem to have missed the discussion about why the webcam has always had that overlay. Can someone summarize it for me? I assume they're hiding a special surprise, but if that is the case, why not do something sensible like pointing the camera somewhere else instead of having half a webcam. As far as this ride goes, I know there's been loads of discussion about how short these things are, but IMO I still get excited about dive machines. I loved Oblivion, as short as that ride is. The way your body falls on these things is just somehow different... it's much more intense than on a drop tower or other types of coasters. Something about the trains I guess. I think a drop+inversion+helix is enough to a complete package.
Damylv Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I think that too... Probably because Gardaland still didn't announed officially that this is a Dive Coaster. Hiding lift and drop, I guess they want to keep that secret to most of their guests.... However in some interviews to gardaland staff, they said that theming will be maybe the main strenght of this coaster.. Track is 3/4 complete, so that overlay should also hide the "spiral" mentioned in official website videos and first theming coming out I think a drop+inversion+helix is enough to a complete package. So this should become one of your favourites xD This will be lift + drop + immelman + camelback + helix + 2nd inversion (still not sure about wich is)
rcjp Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 ^If it really will have a layout like that then it should be great for a dive coaster! Especially given it's not one of the biggest. Looking forward to seeing the compete circuit.
_koppen Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 (still not sure about wich is) I'm guessing a barrel roll/flatspin to the left.
Jew Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 This park has really come a long way since we first visited in 2005...I need to get back!
Damylv Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 This park has really come a long way since we first visited in 2005...I need to get back! Oh yes it's almost 10 y ago! I got a new picture about our new dive
K1ngdaKa88 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 It looks cool! I can't wait to know the full layout and what the second Inversion will be!
rcjp Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 ^^Oh that's more like it. The colour is looking better than I thought it would.
RyanTPM Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 I think it looks brilliant! I didn't like the colors at first, but they look really good now.
tarheel1231 Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Isn't the cat-walk supposed to be painted orange? Or am I just being an idiot?
Damylv Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 ehm, no.. Everything should be white. Trains may have something orange
KingRCT3 Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 The ride was supposed to be black and orange. And they wanted to repaint the Free-Fall and Flying Island in black also. But they didn't get the permission to do so, not to have a big huge mess of black steel next to the lake of Garda.

Damylv Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Finally a new video!! http://www.gardaland2015.it/en/operation-orange/excavation-first-results
K1ngdaKa88 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Do they mean with "it looks like a launch ramp(Lifthill)" that there will be a fast Lifthill, a normal speed lifthill or will the cars really get launched up the lifthill because that would be cool!
YOLO Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 ^^Interesting! I wonder what the "launched" part is. I wonder if it has a lift hill, drop, and then goes into a launch after coastering a bit?
rcjp Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 ^That would be surprising. I would say they are just messing with us and it will be a normal lift but I could be wrong.
