Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread

p. 78 - TONS of new Fantasy Springs info!

Recommended Posts

Doesn't Aquatopia also have it's station in the middle so they can run two sides? On my trips I've only ever been sent to the left side but I've only been during cold months and the line was only 20mins since It was cold (the 3 big indoor rides had 180 min waits though all day). I feel like some-one posted a report ages ago where one side was a dry side and one was a wet side. Well both involve water obviously but one side had the water jets hitting the car instead of missing apparently.

^ It also had a kind of omni-mover loading and unload belt for each side, too.

Luigi's at DCA, sounds (and looks like from what video has been shown) to be a mass

unload and load thing.

Our (probable) 2018 trip to Tokyo Disney is just two years away.

But still.... is there any news lately, from the Resort?

Photos as well? Anything on the two parks' construction coming up?

Much obliged if answered.

Actually, it's been about a year since the last posting about Norway,

specifically, at Screamscape.com so I was just wondering....

Anything going on around the soon-to-be Norway/Arendelle site at TDS? ~ TPR 2013 Japan Tour.

Oh, darn. The Resort will be still Awesome to go to, when we (hopefully) go in 2018.

But construction going on, does = Excitement!

The other side of that possible Norway site at TDS.

My guess is that WDI is stretched pretty thin with Shanghai and the other projects on the books right now, so getting things done to TDS standards would be more costly than a typical development cycle.

If this was ever going to be a reality at any Disney park, it'd be Japan. I feel like you could probably have a whole 3rd gate based around Ghibli, although Hayao Miyazaki is way too green to green light it unless you could somehow make it run completely on self-sustaining energy. As much as it's fan art, it's apparently fan art by a guy named John Ramirez who works for Disney both for storyboards and the theme-parks:

Very interesting. Are we assuming that the big Fantasyland redo was scaled back? Arendelle over at DisneySea pushed back?

It's okay, I'm fine with all of that if we're getting a Beauty and the Beast Trackless dark ride and a small Big Hero 6 area!!!!

Some serious things have changed from the last time they announced this project. remember, there was going to be a large Alice in Wonderland Area, and they were moving Small World (presumably to where the Big Hero 6 and Beauty and the Beast attractions are located). So, that leaves the fate of Small World up in the air, and that whole area they were going to redevelop.

And like Elissa mentioned, what happened to the new port in Disney SEA!? I am very excited for the new additions, but I am very curious to see what will happen to the rest of the things we saw in the original announcement.

The Big Hero 6 attraction looks like it's another version of Mater's Jamboree.

(Oops. Sorry. Didn't see it already mentioned.)

And trackless rides are always an awesome thing, when Disney is involved!

I'll look forward to seeing the construction of it all, when (I hope) we get over there in 2018.

And, one place selling multiple flavours of popcorn???

I just looked at last year's announcement and the Alice in Wonderland and Arendelle projects were for after fiscal year 2017, so this is not confirmation that any previous announcement has changed. However, Screamscape shows Arendelle to be on hold

^ Not only that, no matter how AWESOME the Aliens' ride will be in Toy Story Land at WDW's Studios, with the same Mater's Jamboree tech,

TDL's will probably just smother that version with all the new Japanese tech they can throw into it. And all the theming, too.

Just a hunch.
