What are some loud rides and coasters?

Roar: Superman: The Escape and most Premier Launch Coasters. But I must say I love the B&M Roar on Riddler's Revenge and Mantis.

 

Breaks: I must say DeJaVu has a pretty loud break release.

The thing is louder than hell, and the worst part is, when you get in line, you litterally get like two feet away from the track... And since it's a schwarzkopf, it's got the "Clack clack -bowling pins falling down- clack clack" noise.

 

And it's for a schwarzkopf it's size, it is LOUD!!!

I haven't experienced anything that tops SOB's lift hill as far as deafening clanky noises. As for station noise, Flight of Fear and Vekoma Boomerangs/Invertigos/etc. would have to top my list. During the actual course of the coaster (not including lift hills), I really don't notice most of the noise, since I expect it anyway.

When Hypersonic was up it was pretty loud. Once it gets to the top of the tower it would make a loud noise. Then all you would hear is just the air around you.

A lot of Arrow coasters have really loud lift hills, especially the loopers and hypers. Gemini's is pretty loud as well, but I was surprised at how (relatively) quiet the lift was on Iron Dragon.

 

Also, Intamin Impulses and Vekoma Boomerangs as they whip through the station.

both extremely loud. I hated waiting in line for rides like Dopple Looping because I'd actually have to cover my ears or stand in silence with people because our talking would just be drowned out.

I'm pretty shocked to hear that no one has mentioned Big Thunder Mountain's lift hills. I have to cover my ears when you go through the tunnel lifts.

 

And Kumba is pretty loud but in a good way.

Hypersonic was deafeningly loud. The launch was loud, but the brakes were the worst. Standing in line next to those things when a train came flying through was awful.

To me, the Georgia Scorcher has a cool roar to it, not the loudest but pretty loud walking beside it coming into the park.

Superman: The Escape is the loudest I've heard...especially back in the day when they'd use both sides! When Freefall was open, the last part of the queue under Riddler could be maddening due to the B&M roar.

 

As far as lift hills, X2 is pretty crazy. Those anti-rollbacks are huge!

Dominator is not exactly the quietest coaster ever. Especially when it comes around that first turn.

 

I agree I find Dominator relativly loud at least at KD it is. The roar is just alot louder than your typical B&M.

 

Also Hypersonic was loud too, during launch and especially the brakes, oh man the brakes.

Rolling Thunder's horn when they turn the lift back on from an E-stop is FREAKIN LOUD when standing in line for El Toro..

It may not be the loudest, but when you are trying to get some sleep in the hotel rooms at Buffalo Bill's and they test Desperado at 6am you may think it may be one of the loudest lol!
