  1. My pics are at myspace.com/coasterchick26 Sorry but Im at work and cant post pics. Hey guys, I went to Hershey on Monday June 1st. I absolutly loved it, it was such a blast. We got there at 9am and took a tour thru the chocolate factory, this was really neat. Gabby, Olympia, and Harmony were so cute. The chocolate factory was simply amazing and enjoyed the hershey bar when we exited. Next, we headed to the Hershey entrance, it was only about 9;40am at this time so we stood and waited, there were school trips like crazy, which made it very crowded while we were waiting at the entrance. We headed to Farehnheit first which was no wait first thing in the morning, turned into a 45min wait later on, but about a 15min wait by 6pm. This ride was amazing, I loved all the inversions and inline twists. I got a awesome pop of airtime on one the hills too, literally felt like I was going to fly out of my seat. Front seat was amazing on this!! Next we headed to storm runner, no wait again, but about a 25min wait later. The launch was better than Kingda Ka's IMO, so smooth and intense, not quite as intense as Hypersonics but close enough. This was insane because it was more than just a 1 trick pony like most launch coasters. Next was Sidewinder-I have heard so much about how rough this ride is, but I totally disagree, it was very tolerable, although thise ride was very disorienting but nontheless a good one. No wait here either. Trailblazer-Rode it only for the credit lol Great bear-a whopping 45min wait. But was no wait by 6pm. This was pretty good, just needs more inversions and increased speed. Nothing will top Alpie!! Superdooperlooper-this was very relaxing, IMO this was just a step above trailblazer. Wildcat-I loved this woodie, a little on the rough side but not bad, very enjoyable- same thing with lightning Racer. Comet-Very smooth. loved it Hershey was defintaly awesome and I will return, the staff was all great, and the food wasnt bad either. I got mozz sticks and french fries across from great bear. Got pics taken with the KIss, hershey bar, and hersheys chocolate syrup!!!
  2. Hey Has anyone heard the latest on storm runner? Is it open?
  3. Actually it better be open by june1st seeing thats when Im going. I have never rode it be4 either
  4. If storm runner is not open? what why wouldnt it be open Im looking forward to that ride.
  5. Hey guys, Im headed to Hershey and Dorney. Going to Hershey on Monday June 1st and Dorney Wednesday June3rd. Just wanting a general idea of what you guys have to say about these parks, and what the crowds might possibly be like. Food, cleanliness, park employees. How strict are they on rain policies? Are the parks easy/hard to navigate? Thanks for any info. Christy
  6. I love Alpie, Its my number 1 steel coaster. the only roughness I get from it(and I have ridden it 4 times THIS season) is in the cobra roll, and the brake run. Other than that no roughness at all to me, and always ride in the very back.
  7. Hey Nessie was my first coaster of 09 too, on March 22nd!! Great report thanks for the pics makes me want to go back right now, but it wont be long. Trappers omg they have the best food I have ever tasted in my life. Got the sampler platter even tho I only ate half of it, my eyes were ALOT bigger than my stomach.
  8. The only coaster that ever mad me nauseated(didnt throw up just nauseated) was Borg Assimalator at Carowinds and i think its something to do with Vekomas b/c of returning to the station on your back almost upside down. But it only bothered the first few times I rode it went back again and it didnt bother me at all. I cant handle most spinny rides especially the zipper.
  9. Slow or miserable looking ride ops Cold/nasty food Smokers smoking in line Horse playing in line Ride ops who push the restraints down to where you cant breathe groups who stand in the middle of the walkway( blocking it) Not running rides at full capacity when its necessary
  10. When I first started getting hot n heavy riding coasters. I used to would not eat anything for the fear of getting sick. But I have learned that is actually better to eat while riding. So yeah eating does not bother me at all while riding. I just dont eat anything too greasy. And dont overeat.
  11. I agree I find Dominator relativly loud at least at KD it is. The roar is just alot louder than your typical B&M. Also Hypersonic was loud too, during launch and especially the brakes, oh man the brakes.
  12. I have been on dominator and Medusa SFGradv - Dominator definatly won out. Although both are awesome
  13. -Kings Dominion -Carowinds -Family Kingdom -Six Flags Great adventure -Busch Gardens Europe
  14. Great Tr and photos. Makes me want to go. I went to SFgradv this year and am definatly going to hit SFOG next year. Does anyone if the flash pass at SFOG works just like the one at SFgradv?
  15. I rode el toro back in May. Rough doesnt even belong in the same sentence. It is super smooth. Like someone else said the turms are intense and violent but not rough in no way. Back seat is the best, i mean major ejector air. Its my 2nd favorite coaster overall right below Alpengeist, and my favorite woodie. There is nothing you wont like about it.
  16. I was there on July 29th, and I noticed the same thing bpmitchell. All the employees were very nice and enthusiastic. All of them were enforcing the "Ride On" slogan as we were exiting all the rides. On shockwave they were saying things like "Are you ready shockwave warriors?" And on Drop zone once we got to the top, the ride op starting counting down 10,9,8,7,6,5 and when he hit 4 he dropped us, just to keep us off guard. It was absolutly hilarious. It made the ride that much more fun. Now if only carowinds crew would take notes from KD crew we would be set. PS Why the heck was Dominator closed?
  17. Great TR and nice pics. Man how you can say that about AC. The back seat has the best airtime. Im assuming they must have had the trims on bigtime. I have ridden Nitro at SFgradv, and I must say I enjoy AC more!!!
  18. Wow, worst B&M invert you've been on? I never expected to hear that one... What other B&M Inverts have you been on? Why didn't you like Alpengeist? It's my favorite Invert, and I've been on Raptor at CP. As for my most overrated coaster... I'm going to have to go with Top Thrill Dragster. OMG I cant believe you could possibly say that about ALpie. It is easily my favorite invert of all times. My overrated coaster was Kingda Ka, I was expecting a major adrenaline rush and it ended up being nothing to me. XLC was so much more intense and better.
  19. The seatbelts are the only thing on El toro. I am 5''5 and 195lbs and wear a siz 14-16, I think thats a 34-36 in mens. I have thick thighs but not huge and not much of a belly either, I have more hips than anything. I had to loosen the seatbelt all the way before putting it on, but once I had it buckled I could tighten it a bit, I had no problem fitting, but another 20lbs then I would probably have problems.
  20. The now defunct Hurricane cat 5 at MB pavilion. OMG that thing was so painful, I was just ready for it to end.
  21. I actually got in line for Avalanche around 12:30 and the line was already long and they were only running 1 train and I didnt feel like waiting that long for that ride. I have only riden 1 other stand up, Vortex at Carowinds, and it was alot rougher than shockwave IMO
  22. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Went to KD yesterday and had a blast!! The crowds were pretty light with of course Volcano being the longest wait with about 40mins in mid day. 20 mins after 4pm. Flight of fear was closed all day which pissed me off but I soon got over it. Can somebody tell me why their newest roller coaster Dominator does not open til 12noon? That is so crazy. It was hot and humid yesterday, so we took a ride on the log flume too, white water canyon was closed as well. I swear every time I go, KD always has some of their major rides closed. Anyway I still love the place. Heres a report on the rides 10 being the best. Dominator-10/10 25min wait mid day-3min after 3pm Man this thing was great. It was alot faster amd more intense than what I was expecting. The drop was insane and the loop felt like we were in it forever. The cobra roll was awesome and the train felt like it was hauling butt the whole time. The ride was a good lengthy one too, I guess so with over 4200ft of track Volcano9/10 40 min wait Still one great ride with a awesome launch. Just needs to be longer. Surprisingly I didnt notice any rollbacks or downtime for this ride. Big shocker Anaconda 7/10 walk on- I like this Arrow for the most part, the drop and the first 2 loops are great but gets kind of bumpy after the brake run but the corkscrews are good because you go so slow thru them so you get some good hangtime. Backlot stunt coaster 6/10 3min wait The helicopter never works when I ride, that sucks lol. My friend thought he was gonna black out on it after the launch. Shockwave- 8/10 10MIN wait Man this thing was really slow loading and dispatching trains. We sat on the break run I know at least 3mins waiting to get back in the station. Trust me the sun was baking us too. Anyway I like this standup better than the B&M version. The only thing I can say that I like better than B&M lol. Drop tower- 10/10 5min wait I couldnt believe they were actually running this at full capacity. On a Tuesday. Breath taking drop, this thing still scares the hell out of me every time I ride it. Rebel yell 5/10 2min wait Alot rougher and bumpier than what I remembered I rode in the 3rd seat too. OK JUST OK Ricochet-8/10 walk on this is one of the most unique mouse coasters that I have been on. Hurler- 7/10 2min wait Very good pops of airtime but of course it is rough. Grizzley 8/10- 2min wait Not as rough as when I rode back in march, maybe the weather has something to do with it. Spongebob 3D-5/10 5min wait The audio on this really sucks, u cant hear it all when it first starts then its still not loud enough and the 3D effects are just not all that anymore. I think spongebob has done his time in the theatre. Everybody GO RIDE DOMINATOR you will love it!!!
  23. Hurricane Category 5-Myrtle beach pavilion Hypersonic XLC-KD Drachen fire- BGE Cyclone-Wiliams Grove- standing but not operating
  24. So the Kingsmill /neighborhood can put up listening to the B&M roar but cant put up listening to a woodie, lol funny. Its a theme park come on!
