Picto81 Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 You might be a coaster nerd if... this is part of your web site! With a list like that....This guy is my hero
flagrockerthegreat Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 You might be a coaster nerd if... you look at the landscape and think "Yeah I could put a lifthill there, a drop there, a turn there, etc..." until you have a complete layout. I used to do it all the time when I was younger. I do that every time i'm in Indiana just driving by some hilly land, if only there was a theme park there they could use the terrain of the land for awesome roller coasters, enspecially there's 320 acres of land surrounded when it gets passed down to me.
PixelRush Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 You survey your backyard to see what compact models you can fit in the space, or if you see construction somewhere, you imagine what a park would look like if it was in that spot
SixFlagsAstroworld Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 If you can reference everything someone says to a coaster. "The Boss wants to see you" "That's a roller coaster at SFSTL!"
jray21 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 You post in a forum about coasters. Let's face it, we're all way past "nerds," we have issues.
canadianparkfan Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 If you can reference everything someone says to a coaster. "The Boss wants to see you" "That's a roller coaster at SFSTL!" Paging RMC..."The Boss wants to see you"
Coaster19 Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 You quiz yourself every time you see a photo of a rollercoaster, by guessing 1) name of rollercoaster 2) name of park 3) name of company that built said rollercoaster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
storms555 Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 A trip to an amusement park is a much better antidepressant then actual antidepressant medicine! I guess in a way its another take on the "laughter is the best medicine".
RaceBoarder Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 You see the Simpson's episode "Itchy & Scratchy Land" in a new light thanks to this hobby... Still not sure if this is a good or bad thing
MrSum1_55 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 You root for Ohio State when they play Michigan just because of Cedar Point. You have ever legitimately wondered where sex ranks compared to your top coasters. (Good sex is my #2, behind Skyrush).
bluestreak Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 If you pick roller coasters before sex? Guilty... You root for Ohio State when they play Michigan just because of Cedar Point. You have ever legitimately wondered where sex ranks compared to your top coasters. (Good sex is my #2, behind Skyrush). Also guilty...
VF15 Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 ...when flying on a plane, you always get a window seat so you can try to see amusement parks from the sky. (I'm definitely guilty, I was able to see Valleyfair from my seat while descending into Minneapolis last May.)
AJK Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 ...when flying on a plane, you always get a window seat so you can try to see amusement parks from the sky. (I'm definitely guilty, I was able to see Valleyfair from my seat while descending into Minneapolis last May.) Yeah like I thought I'd see SFDK when departing from SFO. I was wrong.
joelwee Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 ...you speed up while driving over a hill in hopes that you can catch airtime.
RollingCoasting Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 You ride your bike down a hill standing up trying to recreate the feeling of a standup coaster (Ok maybe this one's just me lol)
VF15 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 ...you get excited when your order number at McDonalds is 325. (Happened to me this morning. )
TheCoasterKid211 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 You get pissed when someone asks you where "Shakira" is at BGT.
Jason Maier Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 you have spirited debates about Intamin vs. Vekoma vs. B&M . . . .
Johnlloyd Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 When you hear the word "roller coaster" and immediately turn your head in that direction.
TheCoasterKid211 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 When you hear the word "roller coaster" and immediately turn your head in that direction. I do this constantly.
ShaneH Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 When you hear the word "roller coaster" and immediately turn your head in that direction. I do this constantly. Yeah but 80 percent of the time the person isn't talking about an actual coaster and just using it as a metaphor for life.

joelwee Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Despite that popular metaphor, life is nothing like a roller coaster. Roller coasters are fun; real life sucks.
bluestreak Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 You might be a coaster nerd if you agree with the above comment. (Guilty)
