  1. I'm gay but apparently also coastersexual because last night I had a combined rollercoaster / sex dream Sorry for this random info but where else would I be able to share something like that?
  2. Can we go back to talking about how a lady pirate by way of PC culture is ruining Walt's legacy or something?
  3. I had the pleasure to try Valkyria for the first time a few weeks ago. I did the single rider line (still took 50 minutes as it was an extraordinarily busy saturday) and was randomly assigned an outer seat on the front row. I absolutely loved it! It's actually now my favourite coaster in the park. I was a dive coaster virgin before Valkyria so I don't know where it stands compared to some of the bigger ones out there, but I absolutely loved it. Tried Helix again but it just doesn't do it for me for some reason. The hill after the inverted top hat gives some great ejector air time but otherwise I'm not much of a fan. Mechanica and Loke were amazing. Tried AeroSpin as well but as embarrassed as I am to admit it once we got up at the top I just froze and didn't dare to spin at all! It was somewhat windy and even the wind tipping me slightly to the side scared me to death so I just sat still and prayed for it to be over! I got one round on Lisebergsbanan as well but that's all the rides that we had time for due to the insane crowds. I've never seen Liseberg that crowded. Next time I will definitely go on a weekday. Liseberg really is a fantastic park and I'm glad to hear about the new dark ride coming. Now that Sagoslottet isn't there anymore that part of the park feels a bit dead. It's also the ugliest section, with it's gaudy fast food relics and random claw machine games from the 80's standing out like an eyesore in the otherwise gorgeous surroundings. I'm guessing this part of the park will be getting the makeover it deserves once the waterpark opens in that area.
  4. They should let you smoke a blunt in the designated smoking areas. Get a THC e-cig in fruit or another neutral scent/flavor. Edibles. Get into it yes gawd mama boots the house down "I'm just naturally happy because Disneyland"-realness for your nerves etc.
  5. Marcus (or anyone else going on friday) can you report on what the vests are like? I heard that they were the kind that "give" a little and are not completely locked in place.
  6. How does Tangled/Rapunzel fit into the whole Sea concept? I have no doubt that this project is going to end up being nothing short of amazing, but it feels like it would fit way better into the new Fantasyland area. I'm not sure how I feel about merging the two parks unique identities like this. The new area even borders on Disneyland's Fantasyland section so it feels like they could have easily decided that it would just be part of the new Fantasyland expansion instead. I'm still excited though. Disneysea is my favorite park and I'm sure this will make it even more amazing!
  7. Good to see Donald Trump is taking a break from golf and visiting some parks. Looks more like one of the dwarves from The Hobbit in a red baseball cap. The Donald wishes he had those calfs.
  8. So word is that Valkyria won't open until June the earliest, and possibly not even this year! They're *hoping* that it will be ready for the summer. Everything is ready except for the tunnel. The Gothenburg soil which mostly consists of clay has apparently been much more difficult to work with than they first anticipated. 9. Helix was almost done around this time of the year, I don't know why they started so late with Valkyria.
  10. I don't know what all the complaining is about, the people here look to be having a lot of fun.
  11. As far as I've understood the movie is supposed to be different and not just a regular Soarin' so I'm excited!
  12. Pretty much came here to say the same. Anywhere in Copenhagen would do fine but my backyard would be better.
  13. Liveleak is notorious for attracting the scum of the earth that used to hang out at ogrish and similar sites. Still depressing as f**k to read.
  14. I'm both impressed and a little disappointed by all the news. I was hoping for some more details on the SW:GE attractions, and I'm a little confused over Pixar Pier. But omg, Tron, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, France Pavilion expansion, Future World remodel, Star Wars hotels!! Really exciting stuff! I was expecting an announcement for Coco to replace Gran Fiesta Tour but like others have said they'll probably wait to see if the movie does well before making it official.
  15. I live a 10 min walk from this park. Every night in the summer at 11.30 I hear the fireworks as if they were in my kitchen. Anyway, I love Tivoli. It rarely feels crowded even though it's a popular park and it's located right in the city centre. Great trip report!
  16. Cancer of the common sense. It's a horrible disease. My thoughts and prayers to you and your loved ones.
  17. Aesthetically I still think it's a bit of a miss, but ride-wise it looks like a hit. More fun than the previous version at least. And as long as the Florida version gets to keep the Twilight Zone theme I'm good.
  18. Stanley Kubrick directed Doctor Strangelove not Zhivago. But otherwise you're completely right. No one knew of those movies until the internet showed up and a bunch of annoying fanboys started insisting that they were good. Fortunately there are brave souls out there who dare to stand up against cultural elitism, who know quality movies when they see them. Like 'The Purge'.
  19. Uh, wait, did you see the one from 1980 or Stephen King's own (sucky) version from 1997? Bless your heart regardless.
  20. The book was inspired by the Stanley hotel but the movie was mainly inspired by the Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite. Pics from the real hotel:
  21. That's like the 4th time that wave swinger is moved to a new location. Anyway, I'm super excited about all this new info. It took a minute considering that we had the full layout for Helix 2 years before it opened.
  22. Does anyone else feel that Helix is just kind of weird and not nearly as fun as it looks? The layout is expansive yet it rides almost like a compact semi-rough Euro Fighter, the launches have no real kick to them, and overall (to me) feels like one of those coasters that are fast and have a lot of show-y elements to them but little enjoyable physics. To be fair I've only ridden it twice so I should probably give it another chance...
  23. I saw it yesterday and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't seen the Disney original since I was a kid and I don't remember caring much for it back then, but this one was really well made!
  24. Odds are that it will be built over everything and then people will complain that it's an eyesore. Can anyone tell me if Grona Lund has the same problem? Gröna Lund has a long tradition of having to get creative when it comes to space, so aesthetics doesn't seem to be as much of a concern. If Liseberg is the Disneyland of Sweden then Gröna Lund is the local county fair. No hate against county fairs, they usually have some crazy ass rides and you can get some amazing food but pretty they are not.
