  1. New York. I like L.A. I just hate the traffic. Pugs or french bulldogs?
  2. I rode X in 2004 before it became X2. Haven't been to Magic Mountain since. When was the last time you saw more than one movie at the movies?
  3. I have never ever participated in black Friday so my life would not be any different. People would have older tv's? What if women could not grow their hair long and men couldn't cut their hair?
  4. For my Japanese teacher last Thursday. When was the last time you were truly afraid on a coaster/ride?
  5. If you pick roller coasters before sex?
  6. I would actually kind of love the ferris wheel coaster. Like a small ferris wheel with like four gondolas.
  7. Not to get too sentimental but I'm happy for sweet roller coaster and theme park enthusiasts. I have never met an arrogant coaster nerd, in fact most of the ones I've met are awesome lovable gentle people and I'm happy that there are places like this where we can be nerds together.
  8. I have no idea what a Pinfari cheeseburger is and neither does google it seems. Anyway, BK over McD's any day. Lap bar or shoulder harness?
  9. Due to my fear of aliens I sleep in the bathtub, mostly on my side. Let me ask you this though, are you happy with your home insurance?
  10. Valkyria will require some landscaping as well, at least for the underground portion.
  11. They must already have a buyer. I suppose that is why they are able to push it back and get a head start on Valkyria, which is still set to open 2018, right? I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about how they were going to find the time to dismantle Kanonen and then get the somewhat large Valkyria built in the off sesaon. It could be that they already have a buyer but maybe they also just realized that the project was going to take longer than they initially thought.
  12. Tivoli like 5 minutes by foot. Bakken 30 minutes by train. Bon Bon Land 2 hours away.
  13. I was just about to suggest this one. Psyclone, also at SFMM was maybe the worst woodie I've been on. Although I think I might have been 14 the last time I rode it I remember it as more painful than old Ghostrider.
  14. The Frozen area looks amazing! I've never been excited enough by what I've seen of HKDL to plan a trip there but that could definitely change once all this is done! I for one would not be completely against doing something similar with Disneyland's castle. I get that it's a Walt original and all, but still. As it is now it doesn't look anything like the Sleeping Beauty castle in the movie anyway.
  15. Liseberg: (plans are already set for 2017-18) 2019: Complete re-do of Sagoslottet (a rather old school fairy tale themed dark ride), both the ride itself and the existing castle facade. Updated animatronics, projection mapping, etc. The entire southern part of the park would be rebuilt to resemble a medieval village with a more spiffy looking castle as the focal point. 2020: Nothing major. Re-theming all the game booths/buildings from cheap amusement park style to a more aesthetically pleasing theme corresponding with the theme of the surrounding area. 2021: Tearing out the game house south of Sagoslottet and replacing it with a rabbit land dark ride (the Liseberg mascot is a pink and green rabbit). Think similar to Splash Mountain but traditional dark ride cars instead of a log flume water type of attraction. 2022: Mainly focusing on updating building facades so that all areas of the park have a more distinctly themed look. All remaining neon carnival looking areas of the park will be updated to a more "classy" nostalgic look. 2023: Liseberg turns 100! A large free spinning wing coaster will be located on the northern mountain next to the main entrance. Think X2 at SFMM but free spinning instead of controlled spinning cars. Flume Ride will become part dark ride. After the second lift hill riders will enter an abandoned mine. The ride will continue through a cave system until the final drop at which point it will return to the open air ride it was before. The building behind Valkyria will become a walk-through type of attraction where guests wander through a dark forest where they will encounter various trolls and other creatures associated with nordic mythology.
  16. Good point. Knott's seem kind of bad in general at figuring out how to make their coasters fit without ruining the surrounding environments: Personally I think Pony Express looks great. What's wrong with the way Pony Express looks? I just think it's a really strange and forced placement for a coaster that in my opinion isn't even that great. What used to be a cool quiet little area with a small graveyard and a nice mural in the background is now more or less ruined by large and imposing coaster supports and loud screams every time a train goes by.
  17. Bumping this as I was reminded of Jaguar at KBF in another thread and my latest attempt at riding it. Long story short, at the end of the ride I couldn't get out of the seat for a few seconds due to the small size of the car. I'm average size, maybe a few extra pounds, but not very large by any means. So there I was stuck in the seat and I had to get my friend to pull me up which on top of everything caused my pants to slide down somewhat meaning that until I got up and was able to pull up my pants there was prominent crack in full view.
  18. I'll never be as good as the Planet Coaster builders on youtube...
  19. So with the official word being that they have no plans of releasing a Mac version I suppose I'll have to do the boot camp thing again. I used to have a Windows partition on my old MbP but I thought it was such a hassle that I never bothered doing it on the new one. The game has already been out for several days! I've been looking forward to this for like a year!
  20. I'm really into the latest Allah-Las album. Just as perfectly 60's as their previous records but with a bit more country flavour.
