  1. ^I can relate to that. When I'm on vacation I usually get up earlier and I don't snack as much late at night as I sometimes do when I'm just at home which means I'm hungrier in the morning.
  2. I've been obsessed with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for a while now. It's smart and unbelievably silly at the same time. Pretty much every line is amazing.
  3. I normally don't eat breakfast so if I had a bacon/peanut butter pancake in the morning I would probably die.
  4. I know. But I am closely following the construction progress every day from my apartment in Copenhagen and as soon as there's even a hint of a soft opening I'm booking a flight to L.A!
  5. So minimum 2 years left... Possibly close to three. Ay Dios mio! I can't wait that long! Although this was not entirely unexpected, but I was still hoping for mid to late 2018.
  6. Since I live in Copenhagen and since I've never tried one of these VR rides before I'll try it once before I make up my mind. I can't say that I'm very excited since the graphics on the other rides looks like an uninspiring game that came for free with your copy of Windows 95.
  7. Rumours has become the new Sgt. Peppers where the younger generations keep discovering it. I wasn't born when it came out but I love it.
  8. Splash Mountain at Tokyo or Timber Mountain Log Ride.
  9. Does anyone know if they've started dismantling Kanonen yet? I'm craving for some Valkyria news!
  10. I was always considered "weird" as a kid, wether it was roller coasters, horror movies or just being somewhat socially awkward. Now all I can say is I'm clean, I'm generally nice to people, and whatever baggage/issues I have I do my best to not pass on to other people, but I'll probably always be considered weird to some people.
  11. Insanity. And this is just the first day.
  12. I've seen events listed as carnivals that were literally like 3 food trucks and one tiny carousel. But hey, people still got drunk and seemed to enjoy themselves.
  13. I've never been on any organised trips like this but I can imagine that it can be stressful when you're travelling as a family with a young child and are also in charge of the entire event and feel like you have to please everyone and their individual needs. Also wanted to add that making such comments about someone's kid is completely below the belt and so not ok! We're all joined by the fact that we share this love for something that most people consider nerdy or even weird, and even though I've never met anyone on this site in person I'm still grateful that it exists and that we have a place to meet, if only online.
  14. This has absolutely nothing to do with the current discussion, but that picture reminds me of the time I was on Viper when a spider fell from the ceiling right onto my leg just as the train departed. I hate spiders and now I was stuck on a coaster with one. Thankfully it wasn't very big or one of the more offensive types. As the coaster rolled back into the station I looked up and saw that there were spiderwebs all over the ceiling. Anyway, just wanted to share. Carry on.
  15. ^ Not bad!
  16. People who complain about people who complain about people who complain about people who think they know everything. What's worse than when you really want to see a movie but you can't find it anywhere, legally or otherwise?
  17. Well, compared to the entrance fee $10 is fairly insignificant, but on the topic of bitching and moaning, can you imagine the entitlement of people who have paid 10 whole dollars for the MaxPass when they are told that they are not guaranteed a fastpass as they are subject to availability just like the old ones? They could also just raise the entrance fee and the price of the AP's even further and keep the MaxPass free. Considering the crowds lately maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing.
  18. I sympathize with this guy. This poor working class guy who's just trying to get by in life and can only afford to go to Disneyland ten times a year is now being forced to shell out 10 bucks a pop for a completely optional service as not to have to endure the tremendous hardship of doing things exactly the same way he is now (though he hasn't once bitched about until today). Well, this could mean that there will be fewer "normal" fastpasses, especially if the electronic version has priority the way people are speculating that it will, so in that case it will definitely affect people who don't wish to pay. Also, there's no mention on what the options are for people who are willing to pay but have a foreign subscription/data considering that there is no wifi in the park.
  19. While 10 bucks a day seems reasonable, I get that it can be an annoyance if you're staying for a longer period, like this person: Yeah, no one is forcing you to use it, but considering that the old fastpass system is kind of a waste of resources compared to an electronic option it doesn't necessarily encourage people to use it when there's an additional charge.
  20. Yeah. Right now I'm just happy that ROA and the surrounding area is only (roughly) six months from being completed!
  21. Wow, they have great pictures! I can't believe construction is moving so fast! Those rock formations are crazy! They're really pushing for that 2019 opening date! I've heard as early as Summer 2018. Is this being too optimistic?
  22. Out of the movies listed I suppose Zootopia was my favourite. I mean, how adorable was Clawhauser?
  23. Flying half across the world to visit a park with a specific ride that you've been dying to go on for years only to discover that it's down for the day. Not mentioning any names but looking in the general direction of Fuji-Q Highland. You too LaQua and Thunder Dolphin specifically. Again, not mentioning any names. What's worse than standing in line for a ride next to a stranger who keeps sharing false information about the ride in question to their friends?
