Yeah, that was crazy! Anticlimax for both parties I imagine. Wow...

That was awkward but fun (tourist bus stunt) Hoping that Moonlight will take the main prize!

There is so much good underground/alternative music being produced that I honestly don't get why people bother complaining about commercial music. Unless you're a person that doesn't have internet and who's forced to listen to the radio to get new music there is no reason that you shouldn't be able to find something out there that you like.

Like two days ago for my tv remote. When was the last time you were intoxicated at a park?

To make it worse: It's still Magic Mountain when it opens. You forget your wallet but don't realize until you're at the store.

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?
wmay replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
Not too bad (for Scandinavia, lol). We've been blessed with temperatures around 5c (40f) for most of the winter. The worst part is the darkness, but that's slowly getting better as well. -
Two days ago. Nick Waterhouse. (Not the show I attended, but recent)

Adventuredome Discussion Thread
wmay replied to gisco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Even though I've only been to Adventuredome twice, and the last time was in 2004, I'm still kinda bummed that Rim Runner is closed. When I was 13 or 14 my friend and I spent a whole day and most of the night at Adventuredome when our parents dropped us off there to go gambling (A+ parenting!). After a few hours we had done pretty much all there was to do but there was still several hours left until our parents were to pick us up, so I remember us doing laps on Rim Runner for hours only for the purpose of making stupid faces at the on-ride camera, then running up to get a look and laugh at the pictures (and not buying them obviously) and then going back and doing it again. Fun times. -
My feeling is that IASW is so bright and the tone is so playful that it doesn't matter that you can tell that you're in a room because the point of the attraction was never about trying to sell a sense of authenticity the way Pirates does. It's perhaps nitpicking, but don't get me wrong because I love Pirates more than anything else at Disney, and it kind of speaks to the genius of the creators when after hundreds of rides the only thing that slightly breaks the illusion for me is the somewhat exposed ceiling.

I love this. I've always been fascinated by shortwave/radio anomalies and the Duga radar system specifically. If you're not already aware of it there's an interesting documentary called The Russian Woodpecker, which deals with the purpose of the system but also the Chernobyl disaster in general. One disturbing aspect about the disaster that I wasn't aware of was that children were prioritized for isolation from exposure, and therefor many kids were separated from their families by the Soviet government and placed in orphanages where they were told to forget about their parents, who presumably were already exposed to deadly levels of radiation by that point.

Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Discussion Thread
wmay replied to BarryH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It looks amazing! And I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the pic I instantly felt that I would not be mad if they painted the castle like that, at least for a season or two. -
40 *MORE* Random Questions
wmay replied to boldikus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1. What is the farthest distance you've traveled to specifically visit a theme park? Japan 2. Your favorite coaster in the state you live in? Rutschebanen 3. Would you rather wait in line for a boomerang (at any park) or a VR coaster @ a Six Flags? Boomerang 4. Have u ever been the only person in a train during a coaster ride? Yes. On Lisebergsloopen, closing day of Liseberg in 1995 I think. I was young so I might misremember the being the only one part, but if not it was max 2 other people. 5. What is your favorite thing to do at your home park that does not involve riding something? Eating vÄfflor! (Liseberg) 6. Better time for ERT: Early morning or late night? I'm unprivileged when it comes to this topic as I have never experienced either. 7. Name some theme park food that *sounds* gross, yet is oh-so-delicious? Turkey leg? I don't know. 8. Name your top three "bucketlist" coasters you have yet to ride. The Beast at KI, Fury 325 and The Alpine Coaster in Hoch-Imst. It's apparently the longest in the world and the scenery looks amazing! 9. Have you ever been E-Vac'd? Did you receive anything if you did? A few times, usually only got a couple of front of the line tickets. 10. What is the longest length of time you've waited for a coaster? I can't remember the last time I stood in line for longer than 45 min for anything, so I'll say 45 min. 11. Worst flat ride ever. Name it. There was a weird one in Hanayashiki which was like a tumbling claustrophobic coffin of anxiety. 12. Your favorite SWEET treat at a park that is NOT your home park. Funnel cakes at KBF, or anywhere for that matter. 13. Congratulations! After aggressively gambling on the Plinko game you finally won a front of the line pass. Which ride do you use it on? Toy Story Mania at DisneySea, only because I've never been on it. The last few times i was there was in 2012 and the fastpasses would always sell out like 15 min after the park opens. 14. If you could have a lifetime fast pass to ONE attraction what would it be? Journey to the Center of the Earth at DisneySea 15. Have you ever been next to someone that puked on a coaster? Not that I can recall. 16. Your home park is getting a new B&M and YOU get to pick what type. Do you want an invert/hyper/dive/floorless/flyer/wing/standup? All of the above is not an option. Hyper! 17. Name your favorite Vekoma. I guess BTM at DLP. 18. What water ride delivers the most unacceptable amount of wetness? Log flumes seem like a complete gamble, for me at least. 19. If you were able to help design a coaster would you want it to focus on airtime or inversions/positive G's? Airtime. 20. Most comfortable trains/seats for a coaster are... I like the Mack seats for Blue Fire/Helix etc. 21. Choose one: Unlimited front-of-the-line access to your favorite coaster at your home park for one season OR $1,000 cash? My home park usually doesn't have long lines to begin with so I would probably take the cash. If it was for ANY park, that's a different matter. 22. You just got drowned by a flume/rapids/chute-the-chutes. Do you pay the $$ for the dryer machine or do you continue on with your day trudging around like soggy dog? Depends on the day. If it's a cold day then yeah, I'd pay not to be cold and wet. If it's a warm day it can be nice to air dry. I guess this is a common answer. 23. What is the worst food you've had at your home park? Bad sushi at Tivoli. Much to dense rice with like crabfish and Chinese soy sauce. Does that make me sound like a snob? 24. You're at Cedar Point. You have a one hour ERT session on ONE coaster of your choice. You choose... Millenium Force. 25. Favorite (non-clone) dark ride? Does POTC count as a clone? If so then Alice at DL, only because it's my favorite Disney movie. 26. What was your favorite park you visited in 2016? I would have to say Sea World SD, since it's the only park I visited apart from my hometown park Tivoli. We get annual passes including rides to Tivoli because we advertise at the hotel where I work, so I've been there so many times that I don't count it anymore. 27. What's your current credit count? Don't be shy. I have absolutely no idea. 28. Winner winner chicken dinner! You just won a trip with hotel and airfare included. The catch is its only good for Six Flags America or Mt Olympus. Which do you choose? Mt Olympus because I've never been there. 29. What is the best Intamin coaster you have ridden? Torn between Thunder Dolphin and Balder. 30. Your home park has to remove one coaster and one flat for an expansion. Which two rides would you be OK with losing? Coaster: Karavanen (sorry kids!) flat: Monsunen. 31. Song/music you've heard playing at a park that absolutely has not business being played in a theme park? I have witnessed musical atrocities of the genre they call "popular music" being played in and around Ghost Town at KBF. My soul died and it's belongings were donated to the Survivors Of Horrific Theme Park Experiences Of Clashing Themes Awareness fund. 32. There's 5 minutes before the park closes. You choose to: Reride your favorite coaster in the park, OR get the new kiddie/junior coaster credit? Duh. Whoever wrote kiddie credit is off my Christmas list if I had one. 33. Do you visit the waterpark if it's connected to the amusement park? Nope. Public semi-nudity is for the internet. 34. What 2017 addition are you most looking forward to? I just want to see what the new ROA + surrounding area will look like once it's finished. By see I mean look at pictures until I can afford actually going there at some point. 35. What was the most disappointing addition to your home park in the past 10 years? I have a feeling the 2017 addition of a VR experience on Daemonen will take home the prize. 36. The most overrated coaster ever is... Helix. You heard me. 37. What ride makes you wanna vomit? In terms of aesthetics any ride adorned with graffiti art of dead celebrities. Otherwise Monsunen at Tivoli. 38. What is the best consolation prize you've won at a games booth? I never got one. 39. And the worst? ^ 40. End this questionnaire by posting a picture of your favorite light package (coaster/flat). I'm not sure I know what a light package is... So I'm just going to post this pic for obvious reasons. -
Sorry, I was under the impression that the area in question is expected to be finished in 4-5 months along with the new ROA/Railway makeover, true or false? Don't be sorry. You were asking about it. Not 'sniping' as it was suggested. There is a difference, between the two. Thank you. Although likening the wall to that of a diner might have been a bit much on my part.

I tried asking at miceage but didn't really get an answer, so does anyone here know what the plans are for this very flat looking rock wall along the new track? Considering how much detail they're putting in the rest of the area it seems strange to have a flat wall with something that looks like rock paneling from like a diner.
