  1. Yeah, I'm a huge fan of (the original!) Alice in Wonderland, and the ride in Disneyland. It would be awesome to get to experience a new modern attraction based on the original movie. I say again: Tim Burton characters stay in Shanghai! This was not meant for you.
  2. Liseberg & Tivoli for sure as I live in Copenhagen and regularly visit family in Gothenburg. Also Orlando parks, either in the spring or autumn, depends on whether or not I need surgery on my foot Either way I'm looking forward to going! Haven't been since 2011!
  3. Some recent Soarin' construction pics at tdrexplorer: tdrexplorer.com/construction-of-soarin-at-tokyo-disneysea-begins/ Can't wait to visit once it's done, but I have to say that 2019 seems very distant considering that it's only one attraction whose physical structure I assume will be more or less a clone of the already existing ones. Regarding the other future projects I'm disappointed that the proposed Alice area has been axed but I'm very excited to hear that Frozen land (whatever it will be called) is still a go.
  4. I kind of agree. Apart from it being an eyesore I never understood the point of Jaguar. Even as a kid I couldn't fit into the cars. It's not an official kiddie coaster yet the cars are so small that no one over 10 can ride comfortably!?
  5. I don't know if I have a specific guilty pleasure ride but since I often go to parks alone I end up feeling more stupid sitting alone on like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride than I would if I had someone else there with me.
  6. It might be a seasonal thing but the last time I was at Blue Bayou in Tokyo they had a creme brulee sampler where one was chocolate, one was raspberry flavored and one was green tea flavored. The green tea was amazing!
  7. It's not coaster related but one time when I was standing in line for TOT in WDW I overheard a teenage girl complaining to what I assume was her father about gay days. The father said something along the lines of When is straight pride? Everyone around them reacted and one woman in front of them turned around and said: It's all the other days, not that you look like you have much to be proud about. The father and daughter were quiet the rest of the time.
  8. The first time I rode Riddler's Revenge at MM I was twelve and it was the first time I had ever been on a standup coaster. As I got on that awkward bicycle seat it was stuck at the top position which meant that I was left hanging on the seat with my feet dangling in the air. I got off and told one of the ride operators. She could have said "If you get on the seat I'll lower it manually", but instead she just barked: "Get on the seat! Get on the seat!" I was certain that she meant that I would have to ride with my feet dangling in that stupid position which would also mean that I would not be strapped in securely meaning i would inevitably fall to my death at the highest point (12-year old logic) so i just stood there. Eventually she said "Ok, whatever", pulled down the harness of my empty seat and the train was sent off with all my friends except me, who was just left standing there alone on the exit side with everyone in line on the other side laughing at me.
  9. I don't know if it counts but on Saturday I'm going to Tropical Islands in Germany for the first time.
  10. I can sometimes get a little claustrophobic with restraints in general so for that reason I prefer the old ones, but on the other hand the new ones usually make for a smoother ride.
  11. Liseberg is my hometown park so I'm beyond excited about Valkyria! I don't live in Sweden anymore so I haven't been to the park in a while but the last couple of times I was there I decidedly skipped Kanonen as it has never been a favorite. It's an ok coaster but the tightness of the layout does make for quite a rough ride so I'm glad it's being replaced with something (hopefully) more awesome.
