P. 512: Holiday World acquires Santa's Cottages resort

This looks fantastic. Since the layout is more spread out than Wild Eagle, it looks like it's going to have more of a woodsy atmosphere. The trees in the animations didn't really do it justice, IMO. I'm really looking forward to riding this at night.

For some reason I love how zero g rolls look from this angle!

Oh, and I've said this plenty of times but that Immelmann really looks huge.

You know, I'm not as excited about Thunderbird as I feel like I should be. I don't really like wing coasters as much as I do traditional coasters. I've done all the wing coasters in the U.S., and they're all fun, but not amazing. Who knows, though. Maybe this one will surprise me. I am excited about this being B&M's first true launched coaster (I don't really count Hulk), and it will be nice to ride a major coaster at Holiday World that doesn't beat you up.

Man, this has got to be one of the best color schemes on a roller coaster. Regardless of how Thunderbird will ride, it's still a beauty to look at.

And construction is moving very quickly. Can't wait to see the first test runs here in a few months.

I loved GateKeeper (it's in my top 20 overall) and I have a good feeling Thunderbird will be even better. The coaster really interacts with the terrain more than the animations made it seem like it would. Can't wait for HoliWood Nights next year!

And Paula, will the schedule for the event be released sometime soon? I saw that the flyer is on the website now but there isn't any schedule. Are you guys saving it as a surprise for the event?

Wow! Thunderbird really looks awesome! I love the color scheme, and the location is fantastic! I can't wait to see it in person and ride it!

I think this is really going to be a great night ride. I also think that the front is going to give the best head/leg chopper effect and the back is going to give the most intense ride. I think the pull out of the zero-G roll in the back seat might be one the better moments of the ride. I guess we'll find out in about 5 months!

I was in a hurry earlier and didn't get to post all the photos. It appears I missed some good ones:

I'm thoroughly impressed in how little of deforestation you did in putting the ride in. The tree branches in the first photo weren't even moved!

I love that photo of the zero-G set among the trees. I like it when parks build rides without needing to level everything around it *cough Cedar Fair cough*.

The orange track really looks great among the barren trees.

Looks like it might be done by "Thanksgiving"...hint hint

I would be shocked if they were to complete it by Thanksgiving. This thing went up fast as lightning! Paula, when do you think Thunderbird's last piece of track is going to be installed?

^About 15 to 20 pieces installed in about 12 days (looks like the turn-around by the barn and an inline twist)...maybe not. I was just thinking with it being in the "Thanksgiving" area, they would maybe have it completed by then. Just a thought...
