^^ Ehh I'll be technical when I get more than 4 hours of sleep.

Don't worry, I was mocking B&M for using different names when it's basically the same element.

They did it on Fury 325 as well, finding a name for each turn: "high speed s curve" ; "overbanked curve" ; "high speed bancked curve"... pshh, same thing.

I was just re-watching the POV and yeah, they're pretty much the same. I know it doesn't really matter but I don't see why they come up with all these names? Just to look fancy? It would be clearer if they used the same. (why do they call some of their corkscrews giant flat spins? )

More variety, of course! 488011500_ScreenShot2014-11-06at1_00_22AM.thumb.png.5dcf1dc6456220869cb0552eb7090d8b.png

So many flavors, so few chocolate-dipped waffle cones.

I know that, I just love the color. It's not plain red or black.

Thank you! The process of choosing a color palette - and then figuring out which color goes where - is pretty involved. It means a lot to us that you like it so much!

^I imagine how stressful it can feel to have a lot of work doing something and then wondering whether people will like it or not.

In this case it seems to be a win. I really like the colours now that we have pictures of the actual track.

^ Lauren (Koch) Crosby is our Director of Theming, so she was tasked with selecting/recommending colors. She was always packing her stack of color books along to our top-secret meetings. It was like Christmas when her new color book arrived - with European color numbers, I think. Personally, my "mind's eye" has cataracts or something - so I just sit back, grateful that others can picture what everything will eventually look like. (I'm finally memorizing what each element is for Thunderbird as construction progresses. "Oh, so THAT's the elevated horseshoe!"

It's like skateboard tricks. I'll never understand what in the world they're talking about, until I see it for myself.

Nice. I guess it's much easier to install track the closer to the ground it gets. That means construction will get exponentially faster, right?

And if you think this doesn't look thrilling enough, just think about where the riders will actually go around this thing.

I honestly think all the track will be in place before the end of the year, weather permitting of course.

Director of Theming sounds like such a cool job. I don't suppose you need an Assistant Director of Theming..or even an Assistant to the Director of Theming

Well, sort of I LOVE Diamondback, but Thunderbird seems to be the hype for me.

Which is ironic because Diamondback is the hype®. See what I did there?
