AmyUD06 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Hooray for Three Brothers Pizza. 2nd only to Jonuzi's in AC.
Wood Dragon 1988 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 ^Do you know if that Three Brothers in Seaside is really the "original Three Brothers." Like the start of the big chain?
Hand 0f Time Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Was that picture (second from the bottom) Medusa? The colors are very vibrant.
ms13 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Was that picture (second from the bottom) Medusa? The colors are very vibrant. Sure was. Looked very very good. To bad it wasn't open yet... Part two (The boardwalks) will be up hopefully tomorrow...
The Bebes Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Great TR, sorry your day was subpar. I am visiing SFGAdv next month. Where can I find that big @$$ pizza?
Josh Davidson Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 More photos at GADV.com! But it has officially tested! Whats up with the weird two seat back row?
ebl Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ^ That's possibly where some of the equipment is for the on-ride sound. Just a guess, though. Eric
tedten Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ^ Or some type of themeing. I know it's a stretch but there's always a possibility of this type of thing: http://rcdb.com/ig2999.htm?picture=14 See him "pushing the train?"
Guest Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 So do they plan on theming this at all? Normally when a ride starts testing theyve at least made progress on other stuff. Looks like everything is complete except for that whole Bizarro part
Hercules Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 ^ True. But you can really only see about a quarter to a third of the ride track from most of the pictures I have seen. I'm not sure what there is after the mid-course or anything like that. I think it is a decent move to give some love to this ride, however, I just never got how Medusa, and now Bizarro fits into the Western Themed area. I just wish Great Adventure, and Six Flags for that matter, woudl remain consistent with their themes through out the park. I mean, you go from a great area like Golden Kingdom, and then you head over to Frontier, and you think you walked into a completely differently managed park.
CHILLERLC1 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 The Medusa not fitting in story is soo old. I hope there's at least a Superman figure on the electronics box. That's the only way I'll pass on losing two seats.
atem122 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 looky what I found, although most of you have probably already seen this LOL[/img]
B-RadG Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Wow. That looks like a huge speaker in the back of the train where the 2 seats should be. Certainly one of the things I'm looking forward to at my GAdv trip this June.
Hercules Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 The Medusa not fitting in story is soo old. I hope there's at least a Superman figure on the electronics box. That's the only way I'll pass on losing two seats. Sure it is old in many ways, but don't you kind of think it is the truth?
larrygator Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I think it is a decent move to give some love to this ride, however, I just never got how Medusa, and now Bizarro fits into the Western Themed area. You don't remember the stories of Jesse James, Billy the Kid and "Medusa" causing havoc throughout the Wild West? Even though Bizarro won't quite fit in with the Western theme, if this is about him trying to emulate and copy Superman, I could at least give Six Flags a pass. Or maybe in the future they retheme the flume to Aquaman and Runaway Train to some other DC Comic character and then you won't even have a Western area anymore.
thrillerman1 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Yeah they really should just retheme the whole park to comics and be done with it already.
Teacups Make Me Sick Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 No no no...please people, stop giving SF ideas for taking away such a charming section of the park. Its bad enough that they, took out the giant tee-pee....they cant take away the giant conestoga wagon...and what are they going to do with the Saw Mill? And the Best of the West cafeteria (which, IMO, is the best place to enjoy a beer in the park)?
Hercules Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 ^ They had to take out the teepee - after the damage to it from that storm, they found a considerable amount of termite damage.
Jcoaster Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 .......There is a Western Themed area of the Park?
Josh Davidson Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 FlyinPhil got some great photos of the ride from up above! Check them out below. http://www.gadv.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16424
sros1fan Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 There is alot more aerial shots of the park here
Wathell Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Wow thats bigger than i thought. http://www.gadv.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16529
