_koppen Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 That train is amazing, it reminds me of all retro ghost trains!
viking86 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Not quite sure how I feel about those trains. Definitely not the prettiest one, but as others have pointed out they do have this cool retro ghost train look to them.
coasterbill Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Well after listening to the entire thing, it's obvious that you are taking some liberties with your conclusion of it being "toast". The fact is, if the park wanted to keep the flume there were options. I stand by my statement that it is unfortunate that the park chose this route but it appears this was the "easy way / cheap way" to move forward Right. You can fix anything if you're willing to invest the money. Look at the multi-year restoration project Busch Gardens just finished on Le Scoot. That's just one of many parks to do a major flume restoration in the last few years.
I305forever Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 ^^^^ I f*cking love that movie for some reason.
Apollo von Sol Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Personally, I love the lead car monster. it's very retro 70's looking for me and is something different than every other amusement park that barely bother to do anything with lead cars. it also reminds me of the movie, Gremlins as well.
sthomas.maroons Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Looks like they just finished/topped off the drops and the loops are coming along as well. Photos from Facebook.
CoasterDirected Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Can someone tell me what is different between Euro-fighters and Infinity Coasters?
viking86 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 ^Spelling! Sorry I couldn't resist. Plus I'm not sure about the difference myself...
AdventureJack Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Aerial photos from Facebook Looks like these were taken before the ones that sthomas.maroons shared though.
RyanTPM Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 ^Those are brilliant photos, love to see it from the air, thanks for sharing!
Myself Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Where on Facebook did those pics come from? Those are awesome!
Henry M Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Why is it in the infinity coaster classification? Surely it should be classed as a euro fighter coaster? What is the difference?
KingRCT3 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The trains are different ; an Eurofighter train is one articuled block of two rows, whereas an Infinity train has from two rows up to eight rows. Curretly though, the longer Infinity trains are only four rows long, on The Smiler and Karnan. Yet Smiler did tried the eight rows train at some point...
thrillseeker4552 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The trains are different ; an Eurofighter train is one articuled block of two rows, whereas an Infinity train has from two rows up to eight rows. Curretly though, the longer Infinity trains are only four rows long, on The Smiler and Karnan. Yet Smiler did tried the eight rows train at some point... I believe this is correct. Even though Eurofighters are still getting built, I almost think of Inifinity Coasters as their "2nd generation" counterpart.
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Also the track is different. Taron's track is kind of like Infinity Coaster's track.
Henry M Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 You said about the trains being different, but the monster still has two rows. Also Iron shark (Eurofighter) is a newer Eurofighter yet it has different trains to the classic Eurofighter yet still is one. The Iron Shark trains are very similar to Monsters. Lap bars and all. First Infinity coaster?
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 ^Its the connector between the two cars. Euro Fighter can only twist sideways (Like the zero car and first car on B&M) while Infinity Coaster's connector after the first two cars are like car 1 and car 2 of a B&M if that makes any sense.
Norwegian coasterfan Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 These are infinity trains. They are much more open.
sthomas.maroons Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Update from FB! This is looking awesome especially with the sky ride going through.
AdventureJack Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Wow... those two pictures look so similar it's almost like they're the same photo But no, it's looking really good! I agree, loving the interaction with Skyride. So cool! Where on Facebook did those pics come from? Those are awesome! To tell you the truth I forgot... I really should have typed out my sources but I literally just searched for recent photos of Monster construction.
Nrthwnd Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I love it when rides "interact". Very nice idea. Looking good there!
