Robb, as many have said I'm glad to hear you are okay. It is really scary and amazing how quickly things can change in a blink of an eye. Something similar happened to me and my family when I was really young at the El Cortez casino here in Vegas. But the plus would be watching TPR videos in a new theater with a new HD Peojector!!!

Glad you and everyone in your apt complex is safe!! And i also agree with everyone who says its weird the fire alarm didn't go off. I'm sure the fire dept. will have their ass if it was broke.

Either that or perhaps a certain 'family-friendly' theme park got a bit tired of a former employees consternation of their upcoming fountain attraction, and wanted to see him doused with some water sprinklers. (Which didn't go off--Yikes!)

I'm glad you're OK Robb, and that nobody was hurt and the fire didn't spread to other buildings. Since the alarms failed to go off, would the owners of the complex be fined for not having "working" alarms?

Reminds me of the time someone set one of the men's rooms on fire at my school. It didn't look quite as bad as this, but there was black smoke billowing out of the windows, especially after the firemen smashed them with their axes. What's scary is that there aren't any smoke detectors in the bathrooms (because students try to constantly smoke in them), so the only reason the alarm went off was because someone discovered the fire and pulled it.

Wowwwwww, that's insane!!! Poor clubhouse.

 

Though maybe when they rebuild it, they'll put power outlets on the wall so we don't have to plug everything into that janky circular one on the ground!
