viking86
Hoppy Sanchez Mexican Lager from Æger Brewery. It was quite decent!
DILinator
Backwoods Bastard is year-round now, just so you are aware. No longer a seasonal release. https://foundersbrewing.com/latest-news/2017/2018-update-backwoods-bastard-and-breakfast-stout-to-be-year-round/ Yeah, I discovered that, the day after I posted that! I've definitely been making use of that newfound availability frequently over the past few weeks! I love that Breakfast Stout is too, another of my favorite beers! Now... we just need to get KBS to that point!
viking86
Hirschbräu Doppel-Hirsch Dunkler Doppelbock 7,2% ABV. I brought this one back with me from Germany as on the label it said "World Beer Cup Gold Award 2012". While not quite my favorite style of beer, I'd still say it was rather good. This is "The Answer" from Main St. Brewing Co. in Belleville, Illinois (suburban St. Louis, but don't tell them that), and "Hoptronix" from New Holland Brewing in Holland, Michigan. alexa0ne
A great way to end the week. I will surely have a good night sleep. May we all have a productive week coming ahead.
Philrad71
^ That and Leinenkugel are my go-to "light" or "beach" beers for when it's over 80 degrees. I had a Corona and lime yesterday while mowing my lawn, but that was the last one in my beer fridge. So in typing this, I guess that I may need to make a trip to the store if I am going to go do my trimming and some more yard work later once the temp dips below 90. viking86
Ink & Dagger Modern Day IPA from Amundsen Brewery, one of mye favorite Norwegian breweries. Great beer this one!
Invertalon
Bamberg-Style Helles Rauchbier (smoked beer, for those not familiar). I brewed it with around 70% German beechwood smoked malt. Nice and smokey! One of my favorite styles that is greatly under-appreciated. Most breweries don't make Rauchbier here in the US, unfortunately! ytterbiumanalyst
Falls City's Hipster Repellent IPA. VERY hoppy and spicy. Goes well with this food truck lobster roll. Best lobster roll I've ever had in Kentucky.

ytterbiumanalyst
Ha! I did go to New England in 2003, and the clam chowder there was incredible. This was not as good, but great for a food truck in the South.
Nrthwnd
A Budweiser, in the Celebration Plaza Beer Garden, at The PNE earlier today. Whee. And my blue wristband, stating DRINKING AGE VERIFIED. I'm 65.
Jason Maier
Last beer I drank . . . something at The Anthem in Washington, DC on May 3 (at an Alice in Chains concert). The last time I actually had any alcohol whatsoever; on my birthday dinner (May 31).

viking86
This coming weekend it's once again time for the annual Bergen Beer Festival, Norways largest beer festival right here in my city. I think this is the 8th year they are doing it. This year it's bigger than ever with 45 different Norwegian breweries and close to 450 different beers available. I missed it last year, but I had a fantastic day at the festival in 2016. I can't wait for this one! And to follow the thread, I'm currently drinking a "Humlesus Plus Citra Pale Ale" 5,5% from Haandbryggeriet, one of the many breweries who will be represented at the beer festival. viking86
I had a great couple of hours at Bergen Beer Festival yesterday. This year I only sampled around 10-12 different beers, but I was generally pleased with what I tried. Generally the quality of beer has become so high here in Norway, so it's pretty much all good, but it has become very difficult to find new beers that gives the 'wow' sensation. While I'm not a stout person, by far the most interesting one I tried was this 8,5% Stout Slush from Ekangersmuget Brewery.

prozach626
A super classy tall boy of Coors Light... In the locker room before my hockey game. Heavy beers don't cut it when you're about to skate your ass off, but a little light liquid courage never hurt.
