cal1br3tto
I had no idea the first drop would look anything like that. I just hope the ride experience lives up to its crazy looks!
ThrillTV
I love how from the top it looks like it drops into nowhere. It is definitely more twisted than what I would have imagined.
piers
Why is there so many cars in the car park?
AstroDan
Why is there so many cars in the car park? Â The park was open. If you look, you can see the Fright Nights maze tents! So basically, Thorpe took these pictures at least 3 months ago. Â
ScottBrown
Awesome view of first drop. Source: CoasterFriends  *Cough* Flashback *Cough*
Mr. Starr
Yeah, that picture was posted to the Developers Diary on October 28th
sammmmmy
I'd really love to see a drop like that on a floorless or sitdown one day.
Schotcher
I'd really love to see a drop like that on a floorless or sitdown one day. Â Maybe Wingriders are the new floorless coasters! (It has been a good 7 years since the last B&M Floorless has been manufactured) Â EDIT: Excluding HairRaiser Edited January 25, 2012 by Schotcher
B&MIntaminGCI
Don't forget about the Floorless that just opened at Ocean Park. Â I do agree that the twist n dive drop would be fun on sit downs and floorless roller coasters.
jmicha
^Hairraiser at Ocean park is brand new. But yes, their popularity has certainly dwindled quite a bit, which I feel is unfortunate since they are super fun to me. Â Anywho, that drop looks insane. I hope it rides as well as it looks like it will.
australianalex
Wait, what exactly made the test dummies lose limbs? The small size of the church or the force from the ride (lol yeah right)? So maybe those near misses were a bit to near.
Rollercoaster5000
^It was only another merlin publicity stunt  The dummies which have lost limbs are fake. Look at the other dummies sitting behind the mannequins in the front row and you will see .
dominoes
Very good stunt actually! Usually it's something like "Builders Disapear!" or "Ghosts sighted". This actually made me double take. Well played Thorpe...
OISU8P
Looks like the PR stunt worked for a few folks. Even if this where to happen, I do not think the park would be publicizing it.
kunpc1
Definitely well played! What a great way to really get the public talking about this new coaster.
Skycoastin Steve
Brilliant trickery from their marketing department, but unfortunately, it could easily backfire because it seems as if even some supposed enthusiasts don't even get it. QueerRudie
Brilliant trickery from their marketing department, but unfortunately, it could easily backfire because it seems as if even some supposed enthusiasts don't even get it. Â That's because the leak didn't come from the Dippin' Dots guy. Had it come from him, they'd know it's TRUE!
PCW_Nut
That's because the leak didn't come from the Dippin' Dots guy. Had it come from him, they'd know it's TRUE! Â With Dippin Dots filing for bankruptcy, are they truly a viable source anymore? Â Gotta love UK and their marketing. I do truly wish someone here in North America would do something like this, but knowing how our media is they'll probably think it's real and the GP will call 911 or something
australianalex
I feel very stupid. I will now add myself to the "Dumbest things said on TPR thread" I guess its a good stunt, but at the same time its making the GP go crazy thinking the ride is unsafe. Jerrykoala2112
I feel very stupid. I will now add myself to the "Dumbest things said on TPR thread" I guess its a good stunt, but at the same time its making the GP go crazy thinking the ride is unsafe. Â I'm sure they brought this up when thinking of this idea. Many people will be afraid to ride it now - while many people will want to ride it, for it's "dangerous" appeal. Obviously, I know it's not real, but the public will buy anything.
cal1br3tto
Really, they're just inventing the same kind of rumor that just as easily could've come about on its own. Â Anyway, aren't believing it and not believing it equally valuable to them as long as we're talking about it?
Bubba
I was just watching out Chelsea Lately & they were taking about the coaster. I was like whaaaa! Glad to know its a PR stunt. Â They were cracking jokes saying Heather Mills, Paul Mccartney's ex-wife with 1 leg, was riding the coaster lmao!
Rollercoaster Rider
Yeah, Casualities!!! Who doesn't love to make fun of Physical Injuries that result in lawsuits. I'm sure the Kentucky Kingdom girl is laughing right now. Â Â Seriously, this isn't 13; The coaster looks intense. You don't need to PR it up. Â Â Yes, I did leave out the SFOG Kid and the SFMM adult cause they were ('tutsi-frutsi) idiots.
snoflake15
Maybe the next report will be that Francesco Schettino designed it.
DanJB
^ That might explain why one of the track pieces ended up lying in the lake.
