prozach626 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I have simple tastes, so I'm not a big fan of massive sculptures on the lead cars. However, the coloring and the refurbishment look great.
Nrthwnd Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 ...Tell that to Mack. And Disney. Not exactly attached to the front car, but still.
Trevor Hamilton Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 I just realized something. So if there are buildings throughout the ride, it might seem a lot faster. I'm hoping for Verbolten or higher level theming. That'll make this ride stand out above a lot of other GCIs, even if the actual ride isn't as thrilling.
viking86 Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 The trains looks great, really beautifully designed! But like many others I'm also of the opinion that if I ride in the front seat I want an unobstructed view of the track in front of me.
WOFanatic Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Is it scheduled to be open on the first day of park operations? Adam House (of GCI) said in an IAAPA interview that it will be.
Jcoaster Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Well if those are what the trains look like Im expecting the theming around the ride to be just as on point.
prozach626 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I just realized something. So if there are buildings throughout the ride, it might seem a lot faster. Hell, a mine train through a heavily themed area makes the ride feel faster. Just imagine a GCI designed to give repeated pops of airtime and quick, but comfortable, transitions through a moderately themed area with tight spaces. I think that's what you're going to have here. I'm putting my money on this for the sleeper hit of 2017.
chickenbowl Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 I'm putting my money on this for the sleeper hit of 2017. You're probably right considering this will be one of three custom coasters opening in 2017.
prozach626 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Haha, true. I didn't mean it in the sense that it will be the best new ride, but that it will be much better and more memorable than we all originally expected it to be.

PixelRush Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Everyone I know is trashing on it like its a new TOGO coaster, but they forget that GCI knows exactly what they're doing and will be better than any render, especially NL2. I hope to go and ride this in the next few years!
Vonni Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 I'm putting my money on this for the sleeper hit of 2017. You're probably right considering this will be one of three custom coasters opening in 2017. Invadr, Mystic Timbers, and I'm blanking on the third?

Well, actually there are a lot more than 3 custom coasters opening in 2017. Gold Rush, Drage Kongen, InvadR, Merlin's Mayhem, Mystic Timbers, Pégase Express, Star Trek: Operation Enterprise, Wave Breaker, Intamin Launch at Ferrari Land, Infinity Coaster at Casino Pier. Just to name a few Edited November 19, 2016 by JordyC

Gold Rush, Drage Kongen, InvadR, Merlin's Mayhem, Mystic Timbers, Pégase Express, Star Trek: Operation Enterprise, Wave Breaker, Intamin Launch at Ferrari Land, Infinity Coaster at Casino Pier. Just to name a few Ferrari World's Intamin is basically a worse Kingda Ka clone. It's like if Busch had taken Tempesto and made it like 100 feet tall. I mean it technically IS custom, but I'd pretty much call it a clone.

Fooz Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Have they said anything about theming the ride area? Some cheap log cabins and landscaping in there would make this addition much much more appealing, and really transform that area of the park. Even Le Scoot would benefit a ton from looking over that, and the view from the bridge and alpengeist would be great. Also, is there any indication that there will be any construction coverage, or is it just up to the BGW blog?
cfc Posted November 20, 2016 Author Posted November 20, 2016 ^They are building what appears to be a log fort to go with the ride. As for further "coverage," we'll see (Christmas Town begins next weekend).

Can't wait to finally get back down to BGW and check this out!
Jcoaster Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Im still holding out hope on the giant Viking ship the track will travel through. (It'll never happen but a man can dream.)
coastermaniac Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 This was my second visit to Busch Gardens. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time, if not more. It's an amazing park with great attractions and an excellent atmosphere. I really hope to visit again in the future! Be sure to check out my video blog - any comments are appreciated. I was thinking of Wave Breaker (I was also limiting it to the US).
cfc Posted December 1, 2016 Author Posted December 1, 2016 I'm planning to go this weekend and snag photos of Christmas Town and InvadR. It's a holiday double whammy this week, since Colonial Williamsburg's Grand Illumination is being held Sunday. So, my guess is that BGW will be especially busy on Saturday, not as bad on Sunday.
phantomfan93 Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 I'm actually planning on going to Christmas Town this weekend as well! I know everyone keeps saying how busy it's gonna be, but I still plan on having a great time! It's my first time at Christmas Town so it's gonna be a cool experience!
PCW_Nut Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 We got to check out our first ever Christmas Town as part of the media night and figured I'd share our video here showing off the event. As first timers there my wife and I absolutely loved it! The lights, the shows and of course the hot chocolate were all amazing!
coasterbill Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Great video! It looks like a great event, I just wish they'd run more coasters.
