  1. They wouldn't have removed stinger for nothing. 2019 or 2020. CF won't neglect these parks forever.
  2. Deleted EDIT: Maybe check a certain site that was mentioned in a previous post. Maybe one we supposedly can't speak of
  3. Quick question, how crowded is Fall Fantasy usually? I'm going on Wednesday the 8th, looking like scattered thunderstorms weather-wise. Will Fall Fantasy make it crowded? Also what rides are typically the most crowded or give the longest waits?
  4. Can I get a discount on the wristband? It seemed to me like the only discount was on books of ride tickets. That whole thing seems kind of confusing
  5. Hey everyone, I'm sure this question gets asked ALL the time, but what would be the best pricing option for me. I'm planning on going with my girlfriend on a weekday in August, and both of our dads are retired military (but we're still young enough to have a military ID and get discounts). We want to ride as much as we can, so what would be the best option for us? This system is a bit confusing for me especially with the potential military discounts thrown in and the site doesn't clarify much. Can any Knoebels experts help us out? Thanks!
  6. Well considering GCA put RailBlazer in the original spot of this exact same coaster, I’d put my money on a Raptor if it’s a coaster. Thank god this isn’t a Six Flags Park so we know it’s not a 4-D free spin.
  7. It does seem like Six Flags likes to retheme rough coasters when they get new trains. Look at what they did with Blue Hawk. It’s probably so people know it’s better than it was and hopefully will get more riders.
  8. The Epcot Vice President already revealed that guardians would be a roller coaster, not a dark ride. Maybe Guardians IS a B&M Invert, but there's actually some evidence pointing towards a Vekoma launched flying coaster, which I would prefer honestly. I never thought I'd say I prefer a Vekoma to a B&M.
  9. I'm heading to SFNE in 2018 and I just have a few questions. 1. Are Wicked Cyclone and Superman really that awesome? 2. Is Goliath really that bad? (I think it looks awesome) 3. Do Mind Eraser's new restraints make it bearable or dare I say FUN? 4. How terrifying is the New England Sky Screamer? 5. What are some overlooked coasters or rides I should look forward to? Thanks for the feedback! EDIT: Also I'm going in mid-August, so what day of the week should be the least crowded? And are Flash Passes worth it? Sorry I have so many questions.

  11. Not to mention what they have other than coasters. They have a unique drop tower, some good flat rides, and 2 great dark rides. I mean they're not Cedar Point so you can't expect every new coaster to be their best. And who knows? There's a good chance it may be. I have 0 RMC's anywhere near me and I've never ridden one. Just be happy you're getting an RMC.
  12. I'd honestly rather speculate about the new Spain section itself (IF we're getting a whole new area). Over the next few years we could see a coaster, some flat rides, and maybe even a show or dark ride. I'd love to see what BGW can do with a whole new section.
  13. I've been extremely skeptical about a giga (and I still am), but I have been wondering this whole time... where would they put it exactly? I mean I know where the height test was but gigas are HUGE. Where would Busch find the space to fit an entire layout for a giga? Especially if it's manufactured by B&M?
  14. It's. A. Star. Flyer. If it's a coaster I'll be ecstatic but I just can't see Busch getting a giga or something like Red Force. However I wouldn't rule out a coaster all together. I'm assuming there will be more than one attraction in Spain (if we get it). I honestly think it's more fun to speculate about a coaster that's UNDER the height waiver. That gives us more options to get excited (and probably disappointed) about.
  15. Mayday Parade in May (ha) at the Fillmore in Philly (ha). The opening band was called Milestones. I liked them. They're pretty young and seemed like they were just up there having fun. The supporting act Knuckle Puck was fine, but the fans were annoying. The band was encouraging circle pits which would have happened regardless, but I just don't like when bands encourage it. (Unless it's a metal band) But Mayday Parade was something else. Easily the best sounding live band I've heard. Aside from people moshing at completely inappropriate times, it was the best concert I've been to. They played the entire album 'A Lesson in Romantics' then played 7 more songs, including a great cover of 'Yesterday' by the Beetles. They seemed to genuinely love what they do and love their fans. It's nice when the band seems like they're having a great time playing. I'd love to see them again but I think they're headed to Europe. Great band, great show.
  16. Same here except for our last trip down there the last hour right before closing we walked right on it and since you don't get very wet it didn't matter that it was night time. I went on a Saturday earlier this month and none of the lines were long at all. Le Scoot was the longest but even then we waited probably 10 mins.
  17. Favorites 1. Magic Kingdom (and the other three WDW parks): I know it's not fair to include these absolutely perfect parks, but I've been to each a multitude of times and they just never get old. Magic Kingdom is one of my favorite places to be on Earth. All the rides there are great, but the Haunted Mansion is the best ride at any park anywhere, hands down. Hollywood Studios is second, Epcot is third, and Animal Kingdom is fourth. Hollywood Studios is going to be absolutely amazing after all the updates, and same for Epcot. I haven't seen the World of Avatar yet, but it looks pretty cool, too. Magic Kingdom just needs special recognition. I don't consider these parks the same as Six Flags or Cedar fair parks, which is why they're not listed as my favorite in my signature. 2. Busch Gardens Williamsburg When somebody asks me what my favorite park is, I say BGW. I've been to this park so many times, and I've had a near perfect experience each time. It has my favorite coaster, Griffon, and is the most beautiful park in the country. The coaster lineup is almost perfect (give me my Intamin). Also, Aplengeist is the best invert. Fight me. I love BGW, and I wish I could have put it first, but WDW is on another level. This is by all means my favorite park, but WDW is my favorite place to be. Either way there's no denying how awesome BGW is. 3. Dollywood I've only been here once, but it was so memorable that Dollywood has to be third. I was going down to South Carolina from Pennsylvania to visit family while my dad was deployed in Pakistan. It was me, my brother, and my mom (who has southern roots). They had a place for my dog to stay, and we could even leave to park to walk her then go back in. I just thought this park perfectly captured what I love about the south. Not to mention how awesome the coasters are. Add that to a charming dark ride, a cool water coaster-type thing, a unique selection of flat rides, and great themeing and landscaping, and you have one of my favorite parks. 4. Cedar Point There's no superb theming or landscaping, but it's charming because it gives off that old park feel, while still seeming up to date and modern. The coasters are something else. Maverick, Millennium Force, Raptor, Gatekeeper, TTD, Magnum, and Rougarou are all so much fun. There's another coaster at every turn. That and the views of the lake make it really great. Fast pass is absolutely worth it, by the way. It's an enthusiasts dream, and I couldn't help but love Cedar Point. 5. Hersheypark It would be higher if it wasn't my home park and I hadn't been there so much. Skyrush is an airtime machine, Fahrenheit is like a Eurofighter on crack, Stormrunner is the coolest and weirdest Intamin around, and Lightning Racer is my favorite GCI. Not to mention Laff Trakk, Great Bear, and the possibility of RMC Wildcat make this park worth coming back to. Plus it's not bad looking by any means. I've just been to this park so many times that it's not as special as it is to some other people. Honorable Mentions: Universal Orlando, Islands of Adventure, Six Flags Great Adventure, Kings Dominion Bucket List 1. Six Flags Magic Mountain- I NEEEEEEED IIIIITTTTT 2. Disneyland Parks- I feel like I'd prefer WDW in a lot of ways, but Disney Parks are Disney Parks 3. European Parks- Europa Park, Heide Park, Phantasialand, Port Aventura, Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Liseberg 4. Kings Island- My parents used to go there all the time in the 80's 5. Kennywood- I'm only three hours away and I've lived up here for 6 years but I still haven't gone Honorable Mentions- Six Flags Great America, Six Flags New England, BGT (technically I've been but I was too young to ride anything but Scorpion)
  18. Apollo has red strips. Since they're essentially the same train I'd assume it's two clicks as well, but I'm not 100% sure.
  19. So I just got off BGW Fans and I read an article about a Line of Sight test behind Festa Italia (a place Spain has been rumored to go). Apparently the balloon was easily as tall as Mach Tower. This could have been for something as simple as fireworks, but if not, I'd say a Spain area behind Festa with a Starflyer is a good possibility. EDIT: The height waiver is for a 315 ft attraction. Starflyer.
  20. Well I'd like to see Greece too, but with Festa Italia the park may see that as a bit redundant. And with Russia, as cool as Busch could make it, I just don't think Russia is the best option with the recent events happening. It's just grounds for controversy, even if it would be undeserved controversy. With regards to a coaster, I'd love to see a Maverick-style Intamin Blitz. I've been saying this since I first rode Maverick.
  21. Nessie and Tennessee Tornado. Hands down the worst Arrows and probably the worst coasters in general. Just kidding it's Anaconda EDIT: My well informed but not full on nerd brother saw me typing this and said "F*ck that it's Magnum"
  22. Any of the coasters at BGW or Disney World except Grover, Tempesto, and Goofy's Barnstormer. Oh yeah or Fury 325
  23. 1. Bizarro 2. Rougarou 3. Dominator 4. Hydra They're all great though.
  24. I've had good experiences at BGW too, but I've also had great ride ops at Hershey Park. One guy I see working Wildcat occasionally is the coolest ride op I've met. It's nice to see when they seem to genuinely enjoy their job.
  25. Thanks. I've never been to BGW during the summer, much less on a Saturday in July, so I wasn't entirely sure about crowds. We'll just see how it is and buy the pass if necessary.
