ScottyDoesKnow
They changed the voting process on the contest. The contest winner is now being chosen by park management and a panel of brand experts... thoughts? XYZ
^Hopefully, they do vote for you as you're much more professional and have much more experience than the other candidates. It would be really pathetic if the management does not vote for you.
Vonni
From what I can tell from the Web Cam, I think all the Footers are in place.
traincrossin
Is it just me, or is SFGAm really lacking on the construction updates? I mean there are really only footers right now, but still, you'd think they'd be trying to hype up their new coaster a bit more.

donkeyman18
Yeah the cars look great, in the other photo Robb posted it appears more padding are on the bottom of the restraints which is great because during Texas/Midwest I know the restraints destroyed some peoples shins on Outlaw Run. Hoppy
Yeah the cars look great, in the other photo Robb posted it appears more padding are on the bottom of the restraints which is great... Yes! I also was looking at the other photo and it looked shaped and padded. Glad my suggestion to RMC (I'm sure many others also provided a similar comment) is going to come to fruition. IMO if Outlaw Run didn't have the shin bar, that ride would be much better. I'll be there in May to test them out on Goliath - can't wait.
Jhcbiinoc
I know that this coaster and Banshee are the main two "big" new US coasters for 2014, but both look outstanding. I look forward to giving them a try next year if at all possible. And I really have my fingers crossed that SFOG might be considering something like this to replace Georgia Cyclone!!! Ed Farmer
I really have my fingers crossed that SFOG might be considering something like this to replace Georgia Cyclone!!! That would be awful. The topper track that they started (and not sure if they finished- I last visited near the end of 2012 season) was the ideal solution IMO, and should be the extent of any Rocky-Mountaining for Ga. Cyclone. It wasn't too long ago that it was far and away the best of the remaining stateside Cy-Clones, original included. Patch it up a bit and it'll be as good as anything that would replace it. If anything, they should try Rocky-Mountaining Superman. ;- )
Rollercoaster Rider
How about Scrap Ninja and build an RMC there or RMC GASM?
GwaziBSRider1
^ Agree on Ninja; disagree on GASM. Ninja is awful. GASM is wonderful as it is.
Vonni
^ When I visited SFOG, GASM was the worst Coaster I rode. I was in pain the entire ride, and it was the only Coaster at the park I did not ride again.
GoBears
Big photo update of Goliath... The rest of the photos can be found on their FB page or here. Vertical construction will begin next week according to park president Hank Salemi.

thedirtyspaniard
I was watching the webcam some today and it looks like they dug out most of the trench as well as got some wood onsite to start going vertical hopefully on monday... can't wait to start seeing this thing go up. I live about 10mi from SFGAm, once you can start to see Goliath from outside the park I'll be sure to head there and snap some pictures to share on here

Dr. M
^I've never been to the park and until that picture I had no idea where in the webcam shot the coaster was even going. All I saw was the amphitheater and I was like "hrm, well, it's not going there..."
