BeemerBoy Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 All you people keep talking about Reproduction: The Ride, non-bumper cars, and creepy clowns. All I saw was an incredibly rare photo of Robb in a non-black shirt! That is what really needs to be explained. Robb, say it ain't so. I thought once you go black, you never go back?
eBen Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 As for Kirnu, I'll vote penis I'm not saying Natalie is wrong, she has a good point (and already proven her observational skills). I was just saying what else would need to go with it. That said however, given the way its unsupported and swings freely I too vote penis.
Moose Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 its unsupported and swings freely With that, the argument is settled. Penis it is. And let me tell you it does sway.
KnottsDisneyFarm Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I just had a thought. They should build a coaster that goes straight through Reproduction: The Ride! That sure would spark a lot of controversy!
traincrossin Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Oh, and there WILL be an Ikea and TPR Grand Prix update coming soon! Will you be posting the winners of the caption contest as well?
KnottsDisneyFarm Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I can't wait to see the wacky captions people thought of!
TimmyTimmyTimmy Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I´m really amazed that a place like Grönan would get a review favouring it like this. But it was fun to see from visitors perspectives.
intaminrocket95 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 that is what happens when intamin tries to make a spinning coaster
cfc Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 ^I'd say that they've made at least two good ones--Tornado at Bakken and Insane at Grona Land.
Nrthwnd Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 ^ Personally, I would like to add Kirnu "the other gentler kinder Insane" at Linnanmaki park in Helsinki. That one was great, easier on the bones, and I rode it five or six times the day we spent there. and heard leathered bikers scream like little girls on one of the more memorable trips on it, heh. A "Family Friendly Insane", lol.
_Joel_ Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I was at Gröna Lund on Tuesday and went Insane. It was broken when we came to the park and they had problem with the coaster. But we could go it in the evening! It's very scary now than it was at press view. It goes much faster now, and they have removed a brake. We were only upside down once at the press view. But now we spin around after the brake in the middle, and got the balance when we hung upside down! It was scary!
robbalvey Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 And now... A bonus update from TPR's Scandi Trip! Yes! We are at the WORLD'S LARGEST IKEA!!! "Mmmm...I have a bag of IKEA porn...take me home now!" Thank you IKEA! You have just satisfied many TPR members! Oh Nooooes! That pile of table is going to eat the RATTA's!!! Someone save them! "YAY! WE HAVE BEEN SAVED!!!" "Has anyone seen the Ark of the Covenant?" Wow! They sell the home version of these at IKEA! All of IKEA's Ram is RIBBA for your pleasure. So THIS is what goes into your computer??? Oh...IKEA...ooooohhh...the things you do to me...OOOOOHHHHH!!!! That's right...this lovely kitchen can be yours for just a bazillion Kronors! "Kok" "Vag" "Hey Baby...you are about find out why they call me BIG Mike!" ...sez Robb... MEGA SHARK versus GIANT OCTOPUS!!! Ratta says "Take us home! Take us ALL home!!!" (Note - we only bought three!) TAKE THE TUNNEL!!! This slide is "KidTums Approved!" Pet my beaver...PET IT!!! Reach out to your screen and pet my beaver! So is Mike!!! Dave is on sale! "YAY!!! TIME FOR SEX!!!" To some people, these letters actually spell out "sex."
WFChris Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Why is Ikea so much more fun than other furniture stores? It's so bizarre. Has anybody seen that enormous Ikea distribution center near 'the grapevine' in California off the 5? Its seriously a half a mile long!!! Chris.
weathers Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 3rd picture: "LOTS OF AIRTIME!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!" ':airtimer:' You might be all about boobs, but it's kinda getting old (don't get me wrong though). All the rides and attractions look sooooo much better than the ones we have here (even better than the ones at FAIRS). ':wtf: ADMIN EDIT - Please do not double post. You can just as easily edit your first post.
Ryancrash Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 We enjoyed a tasty dinner at Ikea (served up by the Swedish Chef, I'm sure) - Swedish meatballs with lingonberries, and lingonberry soda. YUMMERS! Good stuff! (Even if it was no match for the amazing Swedish meatballs with lingonberries that we ate at Liseberg...) I am SO ready to go back to Sweden now...
Moose Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I am afraid of the beaver video. I love my Ikea Katolog in Swedish. It now sits next to its much less cool English version. Surprisingly, much of the products are about the same cost when adjusted for the exchange rate when we were there.
TPDave Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 IKEA was fun! The pillow I got for 19kr is really good as well We probably should have eaten there too, but I think we just had 6 cans of beer for dinner instead
dandaman Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 "Mynd you, moose bites kan be pretti nasti..."
testtrack321 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 "Darling, I don't know how to tell you this, but there's a Chinese family in our bathroom..."
ikari Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I've been in Finland for the past 2 weeks and I went to Linnanmaki and Sarkanniemi, they are a really good parks and I enjoyed every single coaster and attraction. At Linnanmaki the crazy attraction near the entrance is just AWESOME and the water coaster is also good if you like to get wet Sarkanniemi in Tampere has a lot of coasters and with the one-day-pass you also have entrance to dolphinarium, to the obsertvatory tower, to a planetarium, museum, mini-zoo, etc... I just loved that park! Oh and Tornado is the best ride ever!! I rode it 4 times *__* Someday I will go with you guys! Cya ^_^
Meteornotes Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Ikea rules. That squid now resides in my office, separate from Mr. Bitey so they do not constantly fight. dt
