sfmmrules! Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I'm pathetic!!! I've only been to a park on one holiday!!! -Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom on Easter Sunday 2002 from 3-11pm -CGA(PGA then) on my birthday in 2006 for only like 2 1/2 hours. I was so bored & so sorry I went! That's it for me!!!
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I went to SFMM on my 18th birthday. That was the last time I went to a park on any sort of holiday and wasn't an employee.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Visited Disneyland on Thanks Giving and the Day after Christmas. Never again.
HEADCHEEZ Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Adventuredome on my 13th birthday Morey's Piers on my 14th Birthday. That's about it. This post ends now.
Swimace Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I went to Wild Adventures last Easter. I was living in South Carolina at the time and I spent Easter weekend at my parent's place down in Florida and I stopped to whore my credits on the drive back up. The park was deserted. I don't know if you'd count this as a holiday, but I did Universal on Superbowl Sunday. I'm an NCAA fan, the NFL doesn't really do anything for me...
PKI Jizzman Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Kings Island on the 4th of July for my birthday....two in one! Pretty cool riding Son of Beast, cresting the hill as the fireworks went off; and seeing like, 8 other displays going off in the distance.
Homeboy23 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Busch Gardens Europe on Memorial Day. I went there forgetting that it was a holiday. I didn't realize it until I got there, but it ended up not being as packed as I would have thought.
Airtime&Gravity Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I went to Six Flags St. Louis on the Fourth of July last year, and the park was surprisingly empty. I've also gone to Six Flags Great America on Memorial Day and Labor Day, but the park was pretty crowded both times.
Kingbooba Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I went to Busch Gardens Europe for my birthday in both 2007 and 2008.
frozenflames Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I was in WDW for Mother's Day in 1993, but since I was really young (just shy of my fourth birthday) I don't remember what the crowds were like. I have also been to Universal Orlando and Wet'n'Wild over Passover/Easter of 2004. There were definite crowds there, but on the whole, I managed to ride (except for Spiderman) everything with under a half-hour wait, and some things with less than 10 minutes' worth of waiting!
brand4d2 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I've gone to Disneyland a few times on my birthday and when I was younger, I recall going to Disneyland and SFMM at least once on July 4.
rawrtotheargh Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I've been to knott's and disneyland for my birthday. And I believe one time I went to the former Camp Snoopy at MOA.
AllenA07 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I've worked at a park on numerous holidays but I don't think i've ever actually gone as a guest for a holiday or for my birthday. I've done the Las Vegas Strip on New Years Eve a couple of times, as well as on the 4th of July, but I don't think that really counts.
Franc Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Cedar Point on the 4th of July last summer La Ronde on my birthday in 2002
Josh Linn Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I used to go to Knoebel's every year for my birthday, and I went to BGA the day after Christmas, so that sorta counts-ish.
netdvn Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I almost forgot that I visited BGE for July 4th 2007. It was surprisingly dead for most of the day It only got crowded before the fireworks show.
doom1001 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I went to EPCOT on my birthday October 1st 2007,which was also EPCOT's 25th birthday and Magic Kingdom's 36th.EPCOT had special fireworks and even head Imagineers like Marty Sklar there for EPCOT's 25th,but I knew who they were really there for.
Speeddeamon128 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I visited Kennywood on my birthday last year a day after Cedar Point on June 14, 2008. It was a fun day even though it rained but I got on everything & had a great time.
Team Thriller Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I've been to a few parks on my birthday. The most recent was Europa Park. But I've also been to SFDK (Was SFMW then), DL, DLP, um... I think that might be all. --James
astroworldfan1 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I went to Disney World during Mardi Gras 2005. The best part about going during Mardi Gras (February) is that no one is out of school across America at the time (except those who live in Louisiana). There was no wait, and I loved it! -Tatum
nay Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I went to WDW once for my birthday, but it's not something I would be so quick to do again. Mid-August is not exactly the best time to visit. I've also been to WDW on St. Patrick's Day and Halloween, and both were surprisingly empty. And I've done SFMM and Disneyland on Labor Day (and will be at one of those again this year!). Crowds were quite manageable then, too.
FeelTheFORCE Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I went to WDW over Thanksgiving when I was like 8, but that was the only time. My birthday is July 15...parks are too crowded then.
Em-Z Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I was at WDW on Valentine's Day as well as President's Day weekend and the day before we left, they were handing out those beads for Mardi Gras at our hotel, the Port Orleans Riverside.
