Heth Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 You like well themed parks and Phantasialand, one of the best themed parks in Europe, is not on your list? The park is easy to be reached by train(close to Cologne) and should be a must visit park while in Germany I visited Phantasialand last year for 3 full days in August. I totally agree that it's an amazing park and I love it. But, with time constraints I wanted to do parks which had new rides I'd not seen, and I'd already done Chiapas .
Mario M. Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Some new pictures Assembling of the first overbanked turn Only 2 more track sections till the completion. That overbanked turn and the transitions into the next overbanked turn are stunning! All 3 trains are now on track! Whole train Front design Details Back design Source Source
Nrthwnd Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 ^^ That last construction photo is amazing! Once everything is finished and all the construction equipment, etc. is gone, this shot will be a really amazing one, including the tower behind, and all.
gerstlaueringvar Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Train design looks beautiful! Think about it, if Smiler got these trains...
rcjp Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 ^Indeed. They look great and very comfy! Also, that transition from the overbank looks like it's going to be twistttyyyy
Mario M. Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Finally the track is complete, they assembled the last track section this morning Pictures of the official construction blog: 3 pictures of the completed layout, only some bolts are missing... Crazy support structure - The Ride source source
RCT3Bross Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 So it's finally done. Now I can't wait for them to open it so I can go and check it out, seems like a crazy ride.
PKI Jizzman Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I'm sorry, that inversion is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen.
coasterfreak101 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I'm sorry, that inversion is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. Agreed. And that transition out of the Stengel looks just like a typical Gerstlauer...I'll wait to hear how it rides.
flaffstar99 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 It isn't even an inversion. The single Inversion (HL-Roll) is inside the "castle".
K1ngdaKa88 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 ^is the Heart line Roll at the beginning or at the end of the ride?
rcjp Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 ^I've heard of it but I don't remember actually seeing any pictures of it.
Sneaky Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 The heartlineroll will be after the brake run, as can be seen in this picture: Source: http://www.hapa-forum.de The top of the picture shows the brake run, with the roll happening right after entering the building.
flaffstar99 Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 The coaster really deserved the title "singature Ride", wich you can see here in this gif: http://www.directupload.net/file/d/3999/22983gto_gif.htm Sources for the pic: Coasterfriends
rcjp Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 ^^Interesting location for the roll. I know there are plenty of rides with heartlines at the end but I can't think of one where it is after the brakes.
Norwegian coasterfan Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 So the soundtrack is produced by IMAscore And according to the newsletter testing should begin next week https://www.facebook.com/IMAscore?fref=ts
StealthFan Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 IMAscore really have made a big name for themselves in the theme park industry over the past couple of years. They have produced some great soundtracks so far so I have high hopes for this one.
RCT3Bross Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 IMAscore has proven to be great with attraction music, take flug der Dämonen and Smiler they are some of my favorite soundtracks, and I'm happy to see them in more and more parks in Europe. Good to see them providing soundtrack to a ride like Kärnan, to where I suspect it will not just end with a: surrounding, queue and station music. I mean I think we can at least expect some soundtrack in when climbing that 73 meter high tower.
gerstlaueringvar Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Oh this thing just keeps getting better and better!
johnnyknottsville Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I'm sorry, that inversion is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. I 100% agree with this!!! I also hope it rides good to make up for it b/c imo this entire coaster is hideous it looks like something brought to life straight out of the original RCT, oh yeah this coaster needs more supports damn it!!! NOT
Paradox Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I'm sorry, that inversion is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. I 100% agree with this!!! I also hope it rides good to make up for it b/c imo this entire coaster is hideous it looks like something brought to life straight out of the original RCT, oh yeah this coaster needs more supports damn it!!! NOT The structure had to be like that to accommodate the path underneath it. Also why would they want to build more supports and drive up the construction cost and time? I actually like that element. It's very unique and just screams Gerstlauer to me.
gerstlaueringvar Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Video is up!! That's one hell of a Stengel Dive!
rcjp Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 ^Some great speedy transitions there! It also looks like that turn after the Stengel Dive will pull some nice Gs.
