BDG
About Fluch Von Novgorod, does anybody have an explanation about why this bit of track is grey/white? It bugs me since its opening! That's where the ride crosses the wild west area of the park.
cookiex
That's where the ride crosses the wild west area of the park. Actually that's the area they call "Holzfällerlager" (Lumberjack Camp). The Wild West area is to the north.
StealthFan
I love the stone work but I don't understand why the portcullis is so tiny and doesn't cover the whole width the opening. If that was a real castle invaders would easily be able to get past it when it was lowered.
cookiex
Looks like IMAscore is producing new tracks for Kärnan along with Kleine Zar and a new park entrance theme. A look at Kärnan's exit path:
viking86
I love the stone work but I don't understand why the portcullis is so tiny and doesn't cover the whole width the opening. If that was a real castle invaders would easily be able to get past it when it was lowered. Haha that is funny! Yes, very strange indeed, considering Hansa Park seems to put a lot of attention to detail in their theming. *Edited for stupidity due to brain not working! See quote in post below. Feel free to laugh at me. Edited February 22, 2016 by viking86

Yes, very strange indeed, considering Phantasialands attention to detail in their theming. I like the enclosed lift on Raik. Curious to see what theming they will put inside, and if there will be any special effects. This is the Hansa Park thread, not the Phantasialand thread

StealthFan
The park have yet again done a phenomenal job on their theming. So much focus on the theming right now almost makes me forget about the giant roller coaster this is all for.
Nrthwnd
After being wowed with what they did for Fluch von Novgorod's queue and exit, this looks equally excellent.

StealthFan
^I wonder if a check is in the mail as I was obviously a portcullis design consultant there and should be paid.

cookiex
Torre Del Mar is finally coming down, just a week before the park opens.
cookiex
They've made some excellent progress on Kärnan's themening in the past few weeks. Much of the wall surrounding the building is now complete. The loading area is almost complete with themening in place. The entry stairwell. Wonder what the screen there is supposed to be for? A lantern was later attached to the ceiling. More themening. Apparently the castle will be an archeological excavation site and the boxes are said to contain numerous artifacts. The exit/gift shop is taking shape. More wall themening. Torre Del Mar's machinery is coming down. Foundations for Hanse-Flieger are being laid. Sources: Kärnan.de Coasterfriends
RCT3Bross
Wow I never imagined the Ride being themed this good. It makes me want to return and ride this again. I especially like the bag boxes very clever design with the multiple suitcases.
JordyC
When I visited Hansa Park in september, I did not really know how they were going to theme this ride. I had some expectations, but this looks waaaaaay better than I expected!! The amazing theming will make this brilliant coaster even better! Dar
Am I right that they haven't had time to get the main tower themed this closed season?
cookiex
Am I right that they haven't had time to get the main tower themed this closed season? They couldn't get to it before the park opens. They might finish it during the season.
Themelander
It reminds me of Taron in a good way. Awesome themed coaster with a big drop. I like it!
RyanTPM
^^I'd imagine that they'll do it during the closed season and have it all themed for next season rather than when the parks open
cookiex
Torre Del Mar is nearly gone now. The park is set to reopen tomorrow (today CET) so we'll see if it's fully removed by then.
cookiex
Opening day has come and construction on Hanse-Fleiger is underway. Here's what remains of El Paso Express. Perhaps they intend to reuse the building for a future attraction? Kleine Zar hasn't progressed further than dirt phase as of yet. The new park skyline with Torre Del Mar (almost) gone. The last few pieces are still being hauled away. Kärnan's exit/gift shop with the wall partially finished.
cookiex
The TV displays in Kärnan's queue show the "Museum TV" episodes while you wait in line, including new episodes that build up the ride's story. The queue also seems to have been re-routed so you enter directly through the three doors instead of heading to the right. English subtitles are included so non-German speakers can understand what's going on. Torre Del Mar is now entirely in pieces, ready to be shipped off to Terra Mitica (presumably). StealthFan
What remains of El Paso actually looks pretty cool if I'm honest. Im sure they will re use the area in good time for something new but for now at least it looks like a nice bit of theming.
