rcjp Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 It'll interesting too see how this compares to intamin's version in practice, as on paper it looks really good.
Superbatboy Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 It'll interesting too see how this compares to intamin's version in practice, as on paper it looks really good. I'm curious as well, since people complain so much about Green Lantern (which I personally love and always have a great time on, despite a little soreness afterwards)
KingRCT3 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 It'll ride much better according to Alan Schilke, and he does make a point: On the Intamin version, the pivot point is behind your back, which means the rotations throw you outward, and that s very uncomfortable. On the Free Spin, the center of rotation is a little toward you. Such as the heartline, it'll make the spins more fluid and comfortable.
rcjp Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 ^I remember that. That's why I'm especially looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Nrthwnd Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 ...I'm curious as well, since people complain so much about Green Lantern in SFMM (which I personally love and always have a great time on, despite a little soreness afterwards) Fixed. The one in Grona Lund didn't seem to suffer these complaints, IMhO. And I loved it! (Pardon for the sidebar...) In Grona Lund - INSANE. The better of the two? (TPR 2009 Scandi Tour)
ArizonaGuy Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Foundation for B:TR in the process of being poured. SFFT tweeted the pic.
_koppen Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Oh boy, I can't wait to see this thing go vertical!
DoinItForTheFame Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Those are some shinny wheels! Love it
Ducky dude Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 BTR OPENING DATE ANNOUNCED!!! May 23 at 10:00AM Gold Season Pass & Membership Exclusive Ride Time on Batman: May 16 All Season Pass & Membership Exclusive Ride Time on Batman May 17
Password121 Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 ^I fully expect this ride to go up very quickly. I wouldn't be surprised to see it up in less than two months from the day it goes vertical.
ArizonaGuy Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 More construction pics from the SFFT Facebook page. Looks like some huge footers. Chadster mentioned back in December that vertical construction would take about a month so looks like Batman will be fully erect by mid to late March depending on when it starts going up.
Ducky dude Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Awesome pics! thanks! In other news, Tomorrow night at 7:00PM SFFT is gonna reveal the animated POV Video!
ArizonaGuy Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 New pic from SFFT's Facebook page. Looks like it's going to be in a great place for off ride photos.
Vonni Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I may not be able to enjoy this one. The new POV just looks like it would make me very sick.
webgoof Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 From Fiesta Texas' Twitter: "Just announced! The addition of Soaring Eagle Zipline to our park later this spring!" https://twitter.com/SF_FiestaTexas/status/566361067174248449/photo/1 EDIT to add: Link to SFFT's Facebook video of Batman POV
Texasbest2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 We're is this zip line gonna be located at ? Fiesta back ground by the the cliffs of quarrels would be epic?
DoinItForTheFame Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Looks like Batman is finally about to go vertical! Can't wait to see the this progress! From SFFT Twitter.
TIMtationX Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Batman looks to be extremely short from that POV. A lot shorter than I thought it'd be.
Brassinthegrass Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 It is shot.... But I think it will last a bit longer than the POV. In other news, I feel like this thing is going to be built REALLY fast!
TyRush Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Batman looks to be extremely short from that POV. A lot shorter than I thought it'd be. Yes but you flip like 10+ times and dont even know youre on a track so it should be much worth it
