rollermonkey Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Flying Coaster Station: The Ride Single train ops, no stacking, just strap in, "assume the position," return to vertical, get off. :? All the extra clearing is for the 8 hour queue line with TV's you can't really see in the glare because they are scratched so badly, rerunning the Mr. Six commercials until you run from the park screaming. (The queue's 8 hours because the ops are hand selected from all the other rides for extra special slowness.) Chris B
Wes Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 So I guess the name is Tatsu (means dragon)? Ohhhhhhhh kay. http://americacoasters.com/forums/index.php?s=afddd9f53f9696e9d8bad9f96cfe9a6f&showtopic=12930&st=0entry228447 I predict this ride was be the Sheikra/Shakira on '06, and I'm going as first on the record to call this ride Tatu, like the Russian fake lesbian pop duo. Tatsu/Tatu
arrowfanman Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Lol...very true. Well, I find it to be less annoying than 'Scream!', so we're good over here ! Also, unlike names like 'Scream!', 'X', or 'Dejavu', which are completely detached from the tangible, me may hopefully be seeing an actual consistancy in the theme...that thats a bigger assumption than the name! BTW...I am going tomorrow to do some filming, and because the Halleuja Jubillee is the only excuse I can get some Christain friends of mine to go to SFMM these days, so expect an update tomorrow night, or Saturday.
Guy T. Koepp Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I called it back on Page 47 Kiddies. I'm thinking a Dragon theme. Keeping with the Asian motif of Saumari Summit. Guy "reading the minds of 6F management everywhere" Koepp
PURE Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Hey Robb...I think it's time to pull out that trophy again for the big winner who posted above me... Jah-"I dont get it dude...what do you want for a correct guess?"-ames
DonkeyBreath Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005  WOW Elissa that thing looks vicious hope it's an indicator that the ride will be too
DATman Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I WANNA FLY AT THE SPEED OF FEAR! I so cannot wait for this thing It's tight like a tightrope!
SFMM rocks my socks Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I think those names are cool. I think It would be cool if the theme did invole a dragon theme. It aslo would be cool if it was a dueling coaster but SFMM is to cheap to build a great ride like that.
Mr. X Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 BTW...I am going tomorrow to do some filming, and because the Halleuja Jubillee is the only excuse I can get some Christain friends of mine to go to SFMM these days, so expect an update tomorrow night, or Saturday. Hey, I'll be going to the concerts if I get the night off, but even if I don't I'll be a Six Flags anyway and you'll know where to find me.
Guy T. Koepp Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Yeah, where's my trophy? I just can't be all bad ass and in yo face wit out one. I'll be there tomorrow as well. Guy "Halleluiah, Praise Jesus and all that sort of stuff" Koepp
4718 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 The name is........uh......."interesting", how certain are we that it'll be the final name? Also, any idea what color the supports will be? The red and yellow track doesn't totally lend itself to a dragon theme, but I s'pose it could, the supports would be the real tie in I think.
PURE Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Dang...is it really gonna be crowded tommorow night? And how many christians are there really going to be? I was thinking about going just cause I just thought it'd be a chill night, but the more I hear about it, the less appealing it's becoming.
NitroJoeC Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 ^^Um, weren't there pictures showing the supports to be a burnt orange color? I swear I saw them a couple pages back. The name isn't terrible, IMO, I think it is decently creative but damn that tagline sucks. EXTREMELY cheesy, but you know, what counts is the ride. ^ When I went to the gospel christian dealy earlier this year (they had one back in April and it was open til 1am) the park was seriously dead. Not walk ons for everything, but I waited maybe 15min for the front on scream, 40mins for X (rode it twice that night woohoo!), two trains for Goliath front, etc. The longest wait was RRv with about a 45min wait because the crew was terrible. Hopefully the lines are as short for you tonight! JC
Guy T. Koepp Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Yellow, Red and Burnt Orange are perfect for the themeing of Saumari Summit. Look at all the other buildings around that area. Also, the sky tower is burnt orange. It won't blend in too well with the foliage. But it screams Asian themeing. What color do you think the trains will be? I think either green or red, or a combination of both. Throw in a little gold trim with Japaneese symbols for Xtreme thrills, and viola'! You have a flying dragon coaster. Guy "I think the themeing for this ride is a no brainer." Koepp
DailyBugle_JL Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Sixflags with an original name. Kingda Ka and Tatsu, and all they could think of for us is Goliath a repeat name. I like the way Tatsu sounds, At least they are keeping it with the theme of the area and not just an out of place coaster(Deja Vu).
coasterfreak101 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 According to www.screamscape.com's new rumors: the peeps at RCPro found out that the name is Tatsu: Fly at the Speed of Fear! Right now that's what I know, so I'll dig into more Classified stuff later!!!
Wes Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 ^ Yeah, that's what we've been discussing for the last page or so.
DATman Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I'd like to point out that tag lines arent exactly one of SFMM's strenght Xperience the Xtreme! Ride OUT LOUD! Fly at the speed of fear! its a pattern-they will just get worse and worse!
zburns999 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I agree. Ride out loud is probably the worst tag-line ever.
Mr.Six Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 I actually don't think its half bad. (Still not the best)
Reggie_Ray Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Just to let you guys know, a new track piece arrived today, it was a piece of the brake run, but it's still a piece, also more Orange supports have arrived, I can't wait to ride this thing!
SFMM rocks my socks Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 im A little confused? where are they going to but the station with a queve up on the hill? :?
arrowfanman Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 My super sexy construction update will be up in a bit. Revolution closure, SFMM lock problems, tubular lift (possibly) supports, and a new pieces of track...stay tuned for more, after these messages!
