P. 418: Camp Snoopy expansion announced including new family coaster

They also talked about tweaks to the bridge/entrance plaza design, cost of each train, speed of the train at the end of the ride (55MPH)

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds too fast? Even if that's the speed it'll hit before climbing to the brakes (as I think hitting the brakes at 55 mph is definitely not the case) that's still quite a lot!

I don't get this. The ride is extremely long already (6602 ft, will be the fifth longest on earth), do you just want to take the last few elements slowly? A higher speed at the end means less use of the trim. I'd be thrilled if more rides kept up their speed the whole way through.

Physics fun: Based on these numbers, this ride will have used 2/3 of its maximum kinetic energy when it hits the brakes.

Hahaha...first, we get beemers are slow and boring. Now, we're getting its hitting the brakes too fast. The way things look, it hits some magnetic braking before the actual brake run so it will burn some speed off. I and definetly hoping for a sorta extreme like goliath at sfog!

I'm definitely not complaining that it hits the brakes too fast, just saying that I find it rather surprising as the ride is so long (I would expect it to lose more energy throughout the course)

Millennium Force is the same way. That thing is still hauling ass at the end of the course which is similar in length to Fury 325's.

I could be wrong but..... It seems like on MF that the final overbank turn that the trains slows down alot before hitting the brakes. Has anyone else noticed that? Is that tight overbank designed to slow the train before the brakes?
