terrancew_hod
And they said about me in high school was "Leave Terry alone. He's crazy." All it took was me to "click out" once.... (it wasn't just a fight... I lost my mind on that football player that tried to jump me and got more than what he bargained for) the rest of my high school years was relatively quiet. Steelinwood
I really, really didn't want to get involved her, but I have a really hard time believing in full this 'bullying' story. First off, if you broke your collar bone there should have been a doctor's report, school officials, not to mention your parents should have been involved, etc. Secondly, most schools have officers, cameras, resourse counselors, etc. Did someone see any of these incidents? It all just seems a bit fishy. Sorry if all of this is actually happening to you, but if it is, you gotta place some blame on yourself and your parents for not doing anything about it! My parents sued the girls parents and the school, I can also scan in the picture if you'd like to see it. It's a bit small. Also, my school does have cameras, they did catch it. The girl was suspended for a month. I'm scanning in the picture right now. You can see the sling on the side My school is very ignorant. Actually, the principle that handled the case was recently fired. I've tired going to my guidance counselors but they don't do much. It's a giant bureaucracy. They just give you a false sense of caring at my school. Also, my school has over 1000 kids (and I think it may be at 1500). They can barley control any of them. We service many of the districts around the region including, Spafford, Winchester, Keene and a few other towns. Most of the kids have issues and take them out on people. No body really cares either. I promise I wouldn't make anything like this up. I also cannot transfer because my parent's don't have the money and the nearest school is in Dublin which is about 45 minutes from my house. I really don't want to commute either.
mcjaco
^^ I'll be honest, that sling looks photoshopped in on class picture. And it doesn't prove anything. If it isn't photoshopped, you could have hurt yourself falling off your bike for all we know. Sorry, but I'm skeptical, especially since we've had one (ex) member here post that he was in a terrible car accident, and it proved to be no where close to the truth. SharkTums
Look even if this all did happen, you and your parents need to be more proactive in stopping it. Sorry, but I'm a mom, if this sort of thing was happening to my kid...well trust me, it wouldn't!
Steelinwood
I promise you it wasn't photo shopped, I can show you the page that the picture came on as well. I also understand that my parent's need to be more pro active, as I said though, my school isn't very helpful, they aren't willing to work with us. But what happened with the person that said they were in a car accident? Why did they say that? EDIT: ^Someone asked how much school I have left, I'm a junior. One more year. AllenA07
Threaten to sue the school, I promise you once that comes up (even if it is simply a bluff) they will listen. I don't have kids yet, however I can say that if anybody ever even had a passing throught about doing something like this to my kid, or something did happen and the school blew it off, I can promise heads would roll. Jew
My parents sued the girls parents and the school Then you should have plenty of proof all this happened. Is there a case # or something we could look up? What was the outcome of the lawsuit? You should have also immediately pressed charges...that's assault. I'll see what I can do. Though I don't think they release transcripts from cases with minors though. It happened two years ago.

atem122
Okay relationship geniuses: I am a 10th grader. Back in 5th grade, I kind of liked this girl. Earlier in the year, I learned that she liked me. She even told her friends about the last time we talked (6th grade), which leads me to believe that she cared about me. She's now a freshman at my high school. So here's where it gets complicated, she became absolutely beautiful, and I'm kinda curious what could happen. But would I seem creepy if I all of a sudden started talking to her out of the blue? I need advise on how to approach this situation.
Goliath513
Just talk to her and don't be creepy about it. Think of it as reconnecting with an old friend rather than trying to get with her because she's hot. Girls are generally pretty good at picking up in obvious attempts like this, especially good looking ones who are used to it. However don't set your heart on anything just yet because girls' minds are all over the place, especially at this age (and well into college for most too). The best thing you can do is find an opportunity to talk to her (in person is better than online) and have some confidence. Usually a lack of confidence is what gives off the creep factor when a guy is talking to a beautiful girl he doesn't normally talk to. She'll be impressed you didn't just hide behind the internet shield if you make it seem like natural conversation in person. In the words of one of my friends - you need to have game! Reality15
Well, on a somewhat lighter note... I never had good luck with girls in grade school, I want to say I dated a whole two people throughout the course of high school, the longest being four months. I was always classified as a nerd because I ran the school TV station, was drum major of the marching band, and spent half of my day during senior year in the computer lab teaching a Photoshop/video editing class. Needless to say, I was king nerd of my school. As of December, I'm happily living with my fiance and helping to plan our wedding. We met in marching band her freshman year of college, and a few weeks later we were dating. After two years of dating, I proposed when we were celebrating Christmas this year, and the two of us couldn't be happier. And, to prove something to all the little coaster nerds out there, she had never been to an amusement park or on a coaster. It's actually fun for me to take her to parks and watch her reaction, and it's funny to see what rides she likes and doesn't (often the exact opposite of a lot of enthusiasts). She'll never be as big of a coaster nerd as I am, and I think we're both okay with that. Kara's first amusement park, Six Flags Great America, in 2007 Back at Six Flags Great America again in 2009 on one of her favorite rides, Buccaneer Battle

Reality15
I don't think that impacted anything I did in high school, however. My coaster enthusiasm wasn't known around the school, I think even my close friends didn't even know about it.

jazzimm
^ Today, my mom bumped into my ex of a few weeks ago in Wal Mart. He was with his psychotic ex-girlfriend (who seems to now be his girlfriend again). That felt nice when I found out. Honestly though, it wasn't that bad. I kind of pity him because she's just going to put him through a lot of terrible stuff again. And, as mean and selfish as this is to say, it makes me feel kind of good to know that I was a really great girlfriend and treated him really well, and he's seriously moving backwards to be with Psycho again, because anyone who knows either of them knows that she's just going to cheat on him again and do plenty of other sh***y things like that. So best of luck to them both!

onewheeled999
So this Saturday marks one month with my girlfriend. We were talking about what we should do, and she came up with the idea of it being a surprise for her. So I have to come up with an idea for a surprise date very, very soon. Do you guys have any ideas? Like, just general things that work well for dates?
haux
One month is nothing to mark. Buy her a chocolate heart or something if you're going to celebrate one month. Sheesh.

But yes, one month is a long time in teenage years. I think the longest relationship one of my friends has been in, and she's been in a few, is like 5 weeks.
