QuakerOaties Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Hey Robb, I'm happy to see your weight loss program is going well! And if you ever get tired of the power bars, try Cliff bars. My mom sends them to me all the time in care packages because I never eat breakfast, and they are actually pretty delicious.
DenDen Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Geeze, been so long since I've been in Random Random Random! Â Go Robb, Go!!!!! You can DO IIIIIIIIT! Â After losing my 80 pounds this year, and have kept it off, it's a totally different way of life. It's not what you eat, it's how you eat it! (Well, the only thing I had to eliminate was sugar, but after I got used to it, the rest was easy!)
darklingscribe Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Here are a few interesting articles on nutrition and loosing weight from an exercise website I frequent: Â Nutrition for Newbies #1 Â Nutrition for Newbies #2 Â It talks about the science of eating, which I have always found interesting. And just to warn you they tend to pimp their protein shakes and products, but still give good advice in the other areas.
TheRapidsNerd Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 There is a cool side benefit to this thread, and that is those of us not in California get to see what a bit of daily life is like with R,E,&KT. Makes one feel a bit more connected and appreciate what goes on behind the scenes of the site. Â Congrats on your progress Robb!
crazyrider06 Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Awesome job Robb!! At this rate you will definitely reach your goal.. I wish I could lose 7.5 lbs In 3 days. I would be happy lol. Anyway keep up the good work.
robbalvey Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 Day 4 -  So today was "interesting"  I probably ate the least today I have of any day during this, yet I was up +.5 pound.  I started off the day with my normal Power Bar. Had a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch. And steamed rice and a small portion of Manderin Chicken for dinner.  But the one thing I've learned from doing dieting before and it's important to know...  DON'T LET THAT DISCOURAGE YOU!!!  The body fluxuates all the time and you never know what will affect something one day differently from the next.  That and I have a REALLY mean dump brewing so maybe once I fire that sucked out I'll have lost another pound or two!  Total weight loss so far: -7 lbs  Anyway....on to today's photo.... Yay! Back to hairy feet!
65skylark Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Just saw this thread Robb. Great job so far! Â Be sure and let us know how that dump went for you!
mcjaco Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I'm actually quite interested in how much weight one can lose after a mighty fine dump. Â Mmmm, hairy feet. Grrrrr.
odene497 Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I love weight loss dumps! they make you feel so accomplished on your diet.
Scaparri Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I'm actually quite interested in how much weight one can lose after a mighty fine dump. Â I used to weigh myself before and after dumps because of the same curiosity. I kid you not, I lost 5 lbs after one of the biggest dooks of my life. It was radiculous. Â And all you people thinking I'm weird now know that you want to try it too.
sandi Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Great job Robb!! Â You have just inspired me to go back to the gym. Hey Justin, would you like to join me?
ParkTrips Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I used to weigh myself before and after dumps because of the same curiosity. I kid you not, I lost 5 lbs after one of the biggest dooks of my life. It was radiculous. And all you people thinking I'm weird now know that you want to try it too. well at least now I know Robb and Dan aren't the only ones to do that!
Cyber.Fiber Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Hahahaha! Just found this while I was browsing a page on The Spice Girls or something. Thought what the heck, I'll see if it's free! Well it is and what makes it better is that it is called: Weight loss for idiots!. Here it is, seems pretty good. But robb seems to be doing pretty well without this guide... Don't know how that is happening? Â fatloss4idiots.com/?hop=roeib&tc=123&ov=1342375941&gg=1062766562&
ebl Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Just remember that your most accurate weight is first thing in the morning, buck naked. Â That's when I weigh myself---and no one has to look! Â Eric
Moose Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 ^Ditto. But always after using the toilet. Â good job Robb. Keep it up!
larrygator Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 regarding the big dump brewing - I hope everything comes out OK.
robbalvey Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 Day 5 - Â Well, everything came out ok, and I'm down TWO POUNDS from yesterday! Â Wow, that was quite a loaf! Â Anyway, it was a pretty typical day. Power Bar from breakfast, bowl of soup for lunch, and I just kind of picked at stuff for dinner. Â It's pretty unusual for me to go to a big dinner during the week unless someone is over. Elissa normally eats her dinner before I get home and then I'm on my own. I was so busy doing TPR stuff last night that I didn't really have a chance to eat a full dinner. Â Jahan came over and we worked out for about 45 minutes. Â Today's weight in: 255 lbs. Total weight loss: -9 pounds!
cobra_roll06 Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Robb, you are a weight-loss GOD! You are doing fantastic and should be really proud! Your putting a lot of us to shame. Â Well Done!
RIP Psyclone Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Hey Robb, I found this in another thread: For another point of reference, any idea how much you weighed then? Â Keep up the good work, Robb! I weigh around the same as you and could stand to lose a few myself.
arrowfanman Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 ^ You know what's funny is we talked about that photo during the workout last night! Â Â Â Â -Jahan
gisco Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Your little toes look funny. They look like they are turned side ways. Is that a hobbit thing?
Coasterlvr_nc Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 your really loosing that weight fast! good job, and keep it up!
TheRapidsNerd Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Robb, how are you feeling? Do you have a bit more energy than before? I noticed a bit more ooomph when I started drinking more water and shed a few pounds. Congrats man.
