My guess? We've got a Sesame Street themed area on the way... Isn't it supposed to be replacing Land Of The Dragons over in Tampa? If so, that would be a great decision since Land Of The Dragons does not fit in with the African theme at all.
FeelTheFORCE
That's cool. I was just there a months ago, and it's such an awesome park. Good to see they're adding on. SheiKra is incentive enough to return someday, but this is even more!
atem122
Someone keeps saying that you can see white track at CP lying around from Maverick...I doubt that
KPfreak519
Someone keeps saying that you can see white track at CP lying around from Maverick...I doubt that I doubt that too. But your post confused me....do you mean near Maverick, where Mavericks track was held prior to construction, or from Maverick's heartline roll? Neither does sesame street, but I can see a a theme like big bird camp in Africa or something. Sesame street safari land lol. Or sesame street gone wild lol
jslim39
Each year ACE holds the KennyKon event at Kennywood. Here is the flyer for this year's event, which will take place on July 19:http://www.aceonline.org/fliers/KennyKon2009.pdf If you don't want to download it, there is a promiment statement that may be related to the "big new ride" mentioned in the Post-Gazette article I posted earlier in the thread: MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT to be made at event July 19th can't come soon enough... haha I agree... I hope it is a new coaster, but OBVIOUSLY we'll have to wait and see. although I won't be back in Pittsburgh until August, and won't be at KW till then, I'll be keeping track on July 19th. The Toader
My prediction for Valleyfair (assuming we don't get sold) 2010: Water park expansion with new slides and kiddy area. 2011: Record breaking (or at least in the top 5) Inverted B&M. Yeah its kinda random, but it seems a coaster wars could be starting again, and VF did participate when Excalibur opened.
fisher1095
I thought the "coaster wars" didn't begin until the opening of Magnum in 1989...?

Yeah I meant near he says that it's white intamin looking track, but I still highly doubt that it's actually track as this site and all the others would be buzzing with speculation
dr.gumbo
From Lightwater Valleys Management during a Q&A session with Valleymania: Would you ever consider extending The Ultimate to make it the world's longest rollercoaster yet again? Yes we are considering this, it would be useful to get some feedback on what riders might like to see and experience. ...
Bolliger&Mabillard
Record breaking (or at least in the top 5) Inverted B&M What type of records are there to "shatter" with an invert? I say floorless. Ypu can build them on a larger scale, and feel more "open" than an invert.
atem122
^It would be fun to be really high up and be able to look below you though, you can only really do that in the front row on a floorless
Bolliger&Mabillard
^The same could be said about inverts, which is why I think no park should have both.
COASTER FREAK 11
^Thats a really strange statement. If you're comparing the two to have the same experience, then why does any park have more than one sit down coaster?
coolcalicoaster
^Thats a really strange statement. If you're comparing the two to have the same experience, then why does any park have more than one sit down coaster? I totally agree with you. I don't get his statement at all. The two coasters offer a completely different experience and I actually prefer an invert any day. Floorless coasters are more comparable to any new B&M coaster. Definitely just a gimmick. DenDen
OK, let me post a rumor. Kennywood's announcement during KennyKon will be a Maurer Söhne.
atem122
^^^^If you look directly below you on an Invert, you see the ground, if you look directly below you on a floorless, you see the track and and car connector. On the edges you can still see more, but not enough to really warrant a special experience
atem122
Excuse the double post: While I doubt that this is new track, does anyone know what this is at Cedar Point? (the white in the background)

Franc
I just read that The SLC that The Great Escape kept in storage for what? like 4 years, was just shipped to La Ronde. BAD NEWS. It's a Sad Day. I know it's only a rumor, but still... I'm feeling kind of depressed now. Why would we need another Vekoma? We already have 2 bad Vekomas; a Bommerang and a Corkscrew. Not a SLC PLEASE. Any family coaster over this. Credit; Absimilliard on Thrillzone LaRonde
netdvn
^ Chances are that it would be put into perma-storage like BTE at Darien Lake and Ultra Twister at SFA. They already have a B&M Invert so they don't really need a second one.
The Toader
Why would a company put a ride into storage? I would think they would either want to install it somewhere or just sell it to a smaller park? Is there a reason I'm not aware of?
Kennyweird
^Perhaps they want to install it in the future but currently don't have any room for it.
