2007 Plans for Parks to Visit

I am curious to see where others are planning on going during the 2007 season. Although I have not made any "final" plans, this is what I have on the slate so far:

 

Mid-Late March: Six Flags over Georgia

 

Mid April: Carowinds (Picking up Maxx Pass)

 

May: Dorney Park

 

Early June: Michigan's Adventure/Cedar Point

 

Late June: Busch Gardens Europe

 

Around 4th of July: Wild Waves/Fun Forest/PNE Playland

 

Early-Mid Aug: Hersheypark

 

Labor Day Weekend: Kings Dominion

Don't have any definative plans yet, but here is what were tossing around:

 

PA/NJ Trip - A return to Hershey, Knoebels, Dorney and SFGADV. This time with the kids.

 

Dollywood/SFOG - Our first visit to Dollywood and back to SFOG. Again, with the kids.

 

Texas - Returning to the TX parks now that the kids can and will ride more. Also going back to Schlitterbahn. Plus no drive to Houston helps.

 

WDW - At least 1 trip to WDW ... if not more. Probably one with the kids, one with no kids.

 

And of course the SoCal and NoCal parks.

 

Most likely it's looking like we will do the PA/NJ or Dollywood and WDW. Maybe Texas in 2008.

Also, we'd like to get out to SFGAd, BGW, Lagoon, and possible side trips to Hong Kong, China, or Korea from the Japan Trip. We'll probably end up doing SFGAd and Busch, and push back Lagoon yet again.

Trip through New York and Canada before Spain. IB, MIA, CP, GL and others. Hopefully florida again. Dollywood and someplace for fright fest. Looks like another good year and I can hardly wait.

No "plane trips" next year but I plan on driving down to Dollywood/BGE in the Spring as soon as the divers are done. I'd like to Amtrak it over to Sandusky to run into you guys at CP. Gotta be cheap next year, unfortunately.

May: Possible trip to Lake Winnie

 

Late May/Early June: Busch Gardens Europe/Water County USA/Kings Dominon.

 

August: TPR Midwest Trip with possible side trips before or after to Kennywood. And a possible side trip before or after to Worlds Of Fun.

 

Late September: Dollywood

 

October: All the Florida Halloween Events.

 

And of course visiting all my local central Florida parks.

Late January; Possibly Florida for DisneyWorld resort, and possibly some other parks.

 

May 12th and 13th; Cedar Point opening day for CF-Live and Maverick. Pretty much confirmed.

 

Late October/Haloween; SFNE Fright Fest, very far off, so this is probably the least likely yo actually happen

 

I also would like to get back down to SFGAdv for Kingda Ka and El Toro, espiecally is I made it into an all-out coaster trip with SFGAdv, Dorney, and Hershey, And I would also like to get down to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for Griffon. Both of these trips probably will not happen though. I would also like to have a side trip to Holiday World on my Cedar Point trip, but that probably won't happen either.

Great Adventure - Opening Weekend so end of March/Beginning of April and possibly another trip later in the season

 

Hersheypark - Possibly Easter Sunday and definetly sometime over the summer

 

Dorney Park - a few times a month (possibly every week in May, September and October) from opening day to closing day

 

Morey's Piers - sometime this summer

 

Gillian's Wonderland Pier and Playland's Castaway Cove (both Ocean City NJ parks) - multiple trips this summer

 

Possibly a trip to BGE as well.

I'm hoping to actually do my road trip next year up the east coast (skipping Florida though). I want to hit as many parks starting with SFOG and ending at SFGA. God only knows I'll need about 2 weeks for this.

My goal is to hit the rest of the parks in Florida then move on.I deffinately want to try to get up to SFOG and Cedar Point/Geauga Lake.

 

And hopefully I'll get up to SFMM again to ride Tatsu.

 

Although I doubt I'll get to do all that.

Apart from that I'll have the usual English parks to do, Alton, Blackpool, Thorpe, Chessie...

 

Not too sure about Oakwood yet though.

The only for sure trips for me are PCW and Cedar Point.

 

The rest I have to wait and see if I can realstically afford it.

 

Though the trips I would like to make are:

 

Holiday World (Holliwood nights)

Solace

Southeast/Florida

 

Holiday World out of that group being most likely. Solace/Florida more dependant on my financial situation.

 

Though I will have more vacation time to play with without burning it all in one big trip. So various smaller trips to the midwest could be possible. (perhaps Indiana Beach?)

I'll be in L.A. to ring in the New Year I may hit one of the parks up there again after the new year. Also I'm going on the TPR Midwest Trip and several trips to the Florida Parks. I may hit Dollyworld and ride their new ride as well.

 

I promised a friend I would meet her at Cedar Point so I may go again, but I don't wanna ride by myself in the group... I got in contact with one of my friends who is a house music DJ and he may try to spin in Cleveland then we'll go up to the park.

 

I probably should save some cash a trip to Argentina in december and my 40th birthday blowout through Europe.

I'm also hoping to get back down to WDW by October/November next year....a house purchase may change all of this, however....

Here is my trip list (not all are comfermed).

 

April: Six FLags Fiesta Texas or Parque Warner. If I do SFFT, then I'll meet up with Austin (Beate's Freak) and David (cp101). If I do Parque Warner, It'll be my first international park (yes, yes, I'm going to a fair this deciember, but that doesn't count) but no meet ups (unless if I'm really lucky).

 

Summer: Funtown/Splashtown for credits. Also, I might have a possible meet up with Dave. If I'm lucky, then I can go to an international Park when I'm in Ireland next summer (hopefully BPB).

 

Fall: I'm hoping for a park that I never visited for my birthday, but that might now happen.

 

Canobie Lake: Have to go there a least three times. Most likely Opening, closing, and random date in the summer.

I forgot to add in Carolina Crossroads for the Zippin Pippin opening if it is going to open in 2007. The parks that I listed that would be new for me are:
