DoinItForTheFame Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I'm always surprised by how big these B&M coasters looks in person and this thing already looks huge from the webcam. It's going to be a very impressive sight walking down the midway and when you get next to and underneath this coaster. I agree 100% and thinking of how massive it looks on the webcam... think of how massive the B&M Dive Machine track really is in real life. . . This is getting me super excited for our VIP Tour at the park this summer. I can't wait to ride Valravn! (And not having to wait in line for it is a plus!) But more so, I can'tell wait to see how the coaster changes the pairs skyline, and how massive it will look in real life.
GCI Wooden Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Look at how small the people look on top of the lift hill! This thing is massive!
DoinItForTheFame Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) There are two incredibly long supports that just got brought in on a truck. My guess is that each one of the supports is connecting to the "A" shaped support laying on the ground, and that will be the angled "A" shaped support for the next part of the drop. And I'd assume of the two pieces of track laying on the ground, they will place the one without the support connector next, (going up the drop) and then the one with the support connector will be placed after that connecting to said support above. (Hope that makes sense.) Not that any of this even matters. It's just fun to guess how it's all coming together, and then see if I'm right! Edited December 30, 2015 by DoinItForTheFame
BeansproutMidget Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Geez, everytime I look at the camera, nothing happens. When I look away, everything happens.
njcoasterguy34 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Geez, everytime I look at the camera, nothing happens. When I look away, everything happens. That's called the "watched pot syndrome", as in the old adage "a watched pot never boils".
talon2017 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 i have not heard anything about a documentary being made of valravn like the was one for fury325 and gatekeeper. does anyone know anything about it?
DorneyKid14 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 The dreams to screams? I have not heard or seen anything. Ill check the persons YouTube channel to see if he has anything. And if there is, it probably won't be until summer.
Password121 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 They had a show with coaster-net after the Fury video was released. IIRC they're doing one for Lightning Rod, not Valravn.
DoinItForTheFame Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 New support is up!! ... am I the only one who thinks that it just doesn't look like I lines up correctly?? ... Then again it could just be the angle the webcam is at.
CoasterLine Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 It's because they are still adjusting to get the footer bolts lined up. It's now more in line, but still not pulled to the footings fully yet.
viking86 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Looks like they have a problem with ants on the construction site..... oh wait, those are humans??
coasterkid124 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Do we really need a picture every time somebody moves on the construction site? It's not like anyone can't go on the webcams themselves and look if they want to see the progress. Just trying to save people some trouble.

Mossed Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Do we really need a picture every time somebody moves on the construction site? Yes. I'm thankful for the updates. Thanks guys! It will be fun revisiting the updates after Valravn has long since been completed.
DoinItForTheFame Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Do we really need a picture every time somebody moves on the construction site? No, we don't need a picture everything somebody(?) moves on the construction site. However, personally I enjoy watching the construction of the coaster, and I know other people on here do as well. So when something new does happen, please forgive me for being excited about it, and posting pictures so others who are enjoying following the construction can see the progress as well. Do we really need a picture every time somebody moves on the construction site? Yes. I'm thankful for the updates. Thanks guys! Point. Proven. Thank you!
FaithPlus1 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 (edited) ^Ignore the debbie downer. Anyway, they are getting ready to lift a piece in place now, if your interested. Hopefully someone will post a pic of it, once it's in. Edited December 31, 2015 by FaithPlus1
viking86 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Keep the pictures coming! It's the off-season, we have nothing better to do. Well, maybe normal people do, but who cares about that?
DoinItForTheFame Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 So, watching the webcam... I just noticed it's lightly snowing at Cedar Point (or at least it looks like snow.) Major props to the construction crew who will still be hard at work through the winter while we all watch from the comfort of our home! ... (or school)... (or work.)

CP Maverick Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I love the scale provided by the person on the track at the joint.
ImNotOneOfYou Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 As you can see, a boat on the right side of the screen has moved. As of 2:39 Eastern Time, the boat is no longer present.
FaithPlus1 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 ^Nice observation. Please post a new pic if it returns
CP Maverick Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Next piece of track is being lifted. Can someone post a new picture?
ImNotOneOfYou Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Here you go! The boat hasn't returned yet
