cooksta77
Does buying tamales out of the trunk of a dodge count as a food truck? Anyways, did anyone get to ride S:EFK today? Depends on the neighborhood and year of the Dodge. -Cookie
Jew
The storm seemed to stay isolated around the Burbank/Universal/Studio City area. Good amount of sleet fell in that area!
ebl
So, how did the Superman preview go today? Did they get it up and running despite the weather? Â Eric
FrightFest1408
I went I stay to whole time in front of superman for nothing. No preview today.
Liroquai
^^ I went to SFMM yesterday for the first time, made the trek up to SEFK a few times to see what was going on but the few showers (and "snow"!) early in the morning and throughout the day kept the track wet and thus unoperational. A little disappointing but the park was so crazily deserted I had everything done by 1pm! Really felt for the few people that thought buying a flashpass was necessary... X2 was a walkon for the first half of the day while they had 2 trains running. So, so fun. Â For the record I ended up going with Starline tours. Seems like every tour company will leave at around 5PM so they can make it back in time to pick up the people at Universal. No complaints though -- if anything I was hoping the bus would turn up earlier since it was so stupidly cold!

coasternut
Just rode Superman. Â And your impressions????
DefinitiveDetour
Yeah sorry for that short statement I was in the park and posted it for anyone who might be waiting to see if it opened up. Â Â We got to ride twice and it was Amazing!! You don't feel like your going 100MPH until you are falling back to earth face forward. Â I have never had the pleasure of riding an Intamin with this style of restraints but I wish more coasters with OSTR's used them. They were super comfy. Â This is a much more intense ride. chickenbowl
^Did you happen to see any progress on the construction of the coasters?
DefinitiveDetour
2 foundations for Green Latern have been poured and Colossus re-opens on the 19th with new lift motors. Â Â I didn't check up on Road Runner. Â I should start taking pictures... will do next week.
Midgetman82
^Anything changed inside or around the station of Superman, other than the green interior lighting?
chickenbowl
That's awesome. So according to plan, Colossus and Roadrunner will open (and maybe Deja Vu), and Superman will begin Full-operation. Wooh. WCB will be awesome!
DefinitiveDetour
I didn't notice anything new about the station except you can see the back stop and its now covered. Â Still a green room before you enter with the older dots still on the ground. Â Â We got stuck on Goliath's lift hill for about 20 mins... was sad since we were the only 2 people on the train and when we came back the station was full. ha ha ha So much for getting into the park early! coasternut
Yeah sorry for that short statement I was in the park and posted it for anyone who might be waiting to see if it opened up.  We got to ride twice and it was Amazing!! You don't feel like your going 100MPH until you are falling back to earth face forward.  I have never had the pleasure of riding an Intamin with this style of restraints but I wish more coasters with OSTR's used them. They were super comfy.  This is a much more intense ride.  Thanks for your response. I'll probably be at the Mountain next weekend and hope to ride it if it's running. My only thought is I liked riding the original Superman (and all coasters) with my arms up. If you're on an end seat (which I like) you can't do that with these new restraints. The exception is the first row of 2. Is that correct?
ebl
^^ The back part of the track was still wide open when I rode last weekend. Neal did tell me that it was going to be covered, and from what you said, it now is. Â Eric

Gmaster562
^ I haven't ever had a bad ride on deja vu yet! Its one of my favorites. My head hasn't ever banged on the restraints or anything painful. Feeling wise: It just feels like your going REALLY REALLY FAST!
DJeXeL
^^ HaHa that sums it up. I am however glad MM decided to keep theirs in decent condition. Besides the annual Dec-March rehab it gets,it runs pretty consistently.

Sir Clinksalot
I have had a couple of bad rides on Deja Vu, but also a few spectacular rides. I don't generally like to push my luck with it and only ride it once or twice at WCB.
DJeXeL
Twice seems to be my limit as well. Once in front and once in back
cal1br3tto
As a major fan of Aftershock, I couldn't help but really enjoy Deja Vu. I believe it was a little rough, but it's still around my 4th favorite at SFMM. I've always loved vertical drops!
