coastercoaster5
Funny you say that. Before TC was announced i heard a rumor about Joker's Colossus, and a DC universe expansion down to scream (Bizarro). Idea sounded cool but this is better. I really hope for that entrance!!!!!! iloveblueberries
That's what I want for the theme of this ride! It's a nice follow-up to the colossus county fair theme. The steampunk theme doesn't match well. And the car is actually better like that in my opinion, just minus the weird clown face.
Gnome
Seems like a good direction, though Im surprised this hadnt already been decided long ago. Wonder what the lead time is to manufacture and build those custom trains would be.
Guy T. Koepp
When I see twisted Colossus, I think of a theme more along the lines of a cartoony exaggerated carnival ride. This! Then next year I would love to see some sort of carnival midway package of rides put in that whole area. They could re-theme it to a county fair type thingy. Or like the other pictures suggest, a twisted freak show kinda theme.
rcjp
The train and entrance scream "Joker" to me. Yeah, that's true. It looks cool, though (Joker is always a cool villain)
coastercoaster5
Great opportunity to get a Giant Frisbee or the frisbee that inverts. They need that. It would fit well to. They could place it down by scream in the parking lot .
WFChris
A flat or two in the area will add the necessary 'movement' the area needs to really keep people back there for an extended period of time. A dead end with no food or flats will eventually just turn onto another dead section...again...regardless of any attempts at themeing.
laqueefa
With the slew of movies DC has announced, an expansion to that area would be a smart idea.
Jew
I don't really care what the "theme" is because the reality is that SFMM won't keep the area looking nice.
Guy T. Koepp
^A man can dream Joey! Why you gotta kill my dreams! You're heartless! Oooooooo! Perhaps they can put in a Poquito Mas over there. That would draw the peeps in.
SFMMGeek27
I like the original trains from the announcement video, but other than that I'm down for anything. In other news, I heard from my friend who is an Entertainment Lead at the park (manages one of the scarezones) that the park almost hit capacity last night during Fright Fest. Apparently there were 34k people in the park. I can't even imagine that place with that many people in it. On that note, what is the park's capacity? And has it ever hit capacity before? iloveblueberries
Jeeeeez 34k? That probably paid off the burnt hill on TC in one night. Edited October 19, 2014 by iloveblueberries

Thats kind of what I wrote in the comments on the survey - I like the idea, but I worry about the park's ability to make/keep it nice.
rcdude
I like the idea of a carnival theme for Colossus, as it seems to fit well with the ride and with the general Colossus County Fair theme for the area. The trains, though...eh, not bad but I prefer the ones in the animation. The Steampunk theme looks good as well, but it would seem out of place without a complete Colossus County Fair retheme. Regardless of what is done, the area needs more than two coasters to be of interest. Remodel and open that closed food stand and add a couple flats down here (if going for a carnival theme, a Super Loop would fit right in ), and SFMM could end up with something as good as DC universe. Of course, if SFMM isn't committed to keeping up the area, I'd rather see them save the money for a new project, so hopefully they'll commit and the park will begin to move back toward 2009-2011 SFMM. kongker
I really like the idea of an expanded "DC Universe/Joker's Carnival" theme as opposed to the "ScreamPunk/Back Alley". I believe that the Steampunk genre is WAY out of the Six Flags wheelhouse to execute properly. Joker (Colossus) & Bizarro (Scream!) are great fits and would be solid anchors for that area. Plus, throw in an awesome flat ride, eatery, with new trees/shade/cooling stations. I think that would definitely be something SFMM could handle with minimum effort, dollars, up-keep (aka: the Six Flags way). Surprising that they even gave enough of a f*%@ to see what their clientele thought of the new area, esp. this far along. Maybe the feedback among the internal team wasn't so positive either... Joker + Bizarro + DC = Theming they can actually handle* This "Twisted" version (circa: 2004) of The Joker would be very cool Edited October 20, 2014 by kongker

tatsu_dude
A carnival/Joker theme would be great for Colossus! No matter what they do, they'd better refresh the "country fair" area, because right now it's more like "abandoned buildings, faded paint and parking lot coaster land". I'd honestly rather have SFMM put some themeing in the area and do something, anything to Scream than worry about themeing Colossus. A Bizarro theme (and repaint and actual grass under the ride, too!) would make Scream at least look ok, even if the ride is rough and sucky IMO to begin with. gerstlaueringvar
Joker I love him even more than Batman! I personally love the entrance and the train, but the logo on the animation video looks better. So Scream will be themed to Cat Lady I suppose

iloveblueberries
I don't think this ride matches with the Joker or any DC related theme really. I say leave that stuff in the DC universe area. The ride looks, like I said before, like it would work best with an exaggerated/over-the-top/crazy/cartoony/scary carnival theme. In other news, I heard from my friend who is an Entertainment Lead at the park (manages one of the scarezones) that the park almost hit capacity last night during Fright Fest. Manic Monte
It's all for moot anyway. I'm 95 percent sure they're going with the Screampunk theme. It's far too pseudo-hip for them to pass up.
