I'm in Spanish III also... quite a bit of the class is in Spanish, and everything in our book/packets is in Spanish except for grammar explainations. I actually enjoy it, as I love Spanish, but some hate it. I have a great teacher, and she starts every class off with "Hola, hola, hola, clase!" It's great. Anyway, I started August 16th. It's going to be a tough (in terms of difficulty) year, but I have great teachers.

Buchanan High School - Band Prank
pvcoasterguy replied to Ryan King's topic in Random, Random, Random
Our band is actually fun. We don't take things too seriously- it's pretty fun and laid back. It's a stark contrast to other bands in our area. Yet we're still the biggest and best one out of all of them. Great video! That's hilarious! I wonder what our band directors would do... probably just laugh along with us. -
Very nice! This is probably one of the best RCT3 parks I have never seen! Excellent work! The entire Jurassic Park section is great! I think it would add a lot, if you use the real Jurassic Park song/soundtrack in that area (if you haven't already). If you don't have, I could send you it. (The JP theme).

I like quite a few of her songs, but only in Spanish, as they were meant to be. Her songs sound 100% better is Spanish, and her voice is strange but amazing. I like Ojos Asi quite a bit.

I really do love Six Flags Great America. It is simply what all Six Flags parks need to be, in terms of staff, atmosphere, and good mix of rides for everyone. Let's face it: -Good mix of coasters for everyone (yay Whizzer, Demon, the Woodies, Spacely Sproket and Rajun Cajun all for 48", with Demon taking on 42" and Whizzer/Spacely taking on 36") -Many flats, some dated but still fun. -Good operations -(For the most part) good staff -Two flume rides, rapids, and splash boat -Good atmosphere, clean, good music (70's and 80's music adds to the fun atmosphere) Anyway, nice TR. I truly enjoy seeing people's impressions of Great America, as it is a truly underrated park that is very nice. I love the fact that American Eagle is running racing almost all of the time now- it adds to the ride so much. This is combination with how well it has been running recently makes for a great, fun ride. Trims have been the lightest they have ever been (season-wide).

S&S Sansei Discussion Thread
pvcoasterguy replied to Coaster Joe's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Very interesting. S&S's main product is the drop tower, and those aren't selling anymore. Dondopa and Hypersonic XLC are now incredibly rough, not to mention those rides were very costly. Screamin' Swing is probably the only real product they have right now, and I can't imagine they make a ton of money with those, and parks only want one set of them. I can believe it. -

Creepy 80's waterslides are always the best. They're usually really insane, fast, and forceful. Nice TR! -
That sucks. When our marching band went to SFGAm on the 11th, all four of our school buses were broken into, even though they were all locked. Main things stolen: iPods, Cell Phones, Money. Luckily, everything will be replaced by the bus company's insurance. Nothing of mine was stolen, because I hid everything, but a lot of my friends had things stolen.

Wooden coasters
pvcoasterguy replied to AllisonY2K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I found Gwazi to be pretty darn smooth, and I've been on some pretty bad wooden coasters before. There's a difference between normal wooden coaster roughness and just a rough wooden coaster. The normal wooden roughness is on well-maintained wooden coasters, where the coaster is always being patched and fixed. Major companies (or bad parks), like some Six Flags parks, or Cedar Fair (always) just leave their wooden coaster to rot (minus minor board replacements) for a couple of years until they decide to do a full retracking. Examples: Mean Streak, Timber Wolf -

I kept watching it thinking, "How did Regis get this crappy gig?" Really, most of the people on there aren't worth $10, let alone a million.

Nice TR! SFNE is a really nice park, and some of the rides are really good.

I leave for a week, and all hell breaks loose at Adventureland. Hopefully everything is okay, and the ride (and girl) is fine. -

Your favorite coaster tunnel
pvcoasterguy replied to chavslayer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Agreed. -
^ Yup. I think you set it up in the game that you are playing (only on the ones it matters for, though). Such as: Warioware: Touched Brainage
-
^ That's great! It's not like Zamperla Wild Mouse coasters are that hard to maintain, either.
